We know you are swamped, trying to put out as much content as possible to catch the hype train that follows the set's release, but if i may make a suggestion, keep doing your regular unboxing at your normal rate, we love to hear your thoughts! Not saying you didn't deliver with this video of course, just dont worry too much about rushing unless youre doing a sauce video, those are the videos that people with limited amounts of time watch anyway.

I like the slower pack openings.
First, Jeremy is great and I like the chill, hangout vibe when he takes it slow. It also helps to savor the big opens.
Second, if it's a long vid, I can watch some now and the rest later. It's not like there is a plot or anything!
Third, if it's just all about opening packs super fast, what's the point? I know the cards in the set....I come to watch it opened in a fun way, not just to see the cards.

I don't even play MTG anymore. I haven't in a long time, but I get hype when he does. I was shaking with adrenaline watching all those packs get cracked and he pulled all those mythics.
I live an hour outside Chicago, and I've been to MTGCardmarket's store. They're really friendly, quite helpful, and they don't mind small talk, at all. ^_^ Also, a side note, I love your cats, Jeremy. XD Thanks for the awesome video, as I highly doubt I can get any cards today. ;_;

Hi Jeremy, congrats on your pulls.
Here is what happens with the Innistrad packs because obviously it is confusing and I'm sure to a lot of other people as well:
For a regular (no Double Face Cards) set, you get 9/10 Commons, 3 Uncommons, 1 R or Mythic Rare and then depending on if you had 9 or 10 Commons, you might get a Foil that can be any of the cards in that set from any rarity.
For Innistrad though, each pack is guaranteed to have at least 1 DFC card, so the distribution is actually: 8/9 Commons (non DFC), 3 Uncommons (non DFC), 1 Rare (non DFC), 1 DFC (Common or Uncommon only) and then depending on if you had 8 or 9 commons, there could be another slot in the pack that is filled by other a Foil card that can be any card in the set from any rarity, or a Rare or Mythic Rare DFC.
Hope this helps clear things up.

To help those who want to watch a fast box opening, you can just link in certain times in the description eg XX:XX is Pack 1. Then, do a complete Rare review (as well as semi-valuable uncommons like Duskwatch Recruiter). Link this too.

Awesome box, btw! I pulled an Avacyn during the only pre-release event I attended. I did pretty horribly (I'm still getting the hang of limited), but the first round was a draw, so we rolled dice for the pack. Lost the second round. If you won two rounds, you got 3 packs in total. So I got the bye on the third round, won two more packs... and pulled an Avacyn. It was both an unsuccessful and very successful pre-release for me.

I think Shadow boxes are just insane by nature. I opened a box with 6 good mythics, and almost all good rares. I just love this set!
Foil Declaration in Stone, Westvale Abbey, Avacyn, Sorin, and Thing in the Ice. I was quite pleased! Nice box man!
This was the only set I ever bought a booster box for, and I got a lot of good stuff from it. Relentless Dead, Sigarda, Gisella, Avacyn, Behold the Beyond, Geralf's Masterpiece, and Olivia. Got my Avacyn in the last pack, such a nice feeling getting her.
I'm new to MTG, I got in on Battle for Zendikar, and what I most like collecting cards for is for the art and flavor, even if the card is unplayeable. What I most want to pull out of the boosters are Nahiri and Avacyn
Insane box!! Fun fact: the boosters printed in Belgium have the flip card slot between the commons and uncommons!

opened a box with 7 mythics got a jace, arlinn, ulvenwald hydra, relentless dead, sorin, olivia plus a thing in the ice. super happy about the value in the box. cant wait to try my luck again
The person who sat next to me at the first prerelease pulled a foil Avacyn, a Sage of Ancient Lore and the W/U rare land in the same booster

my pal at prerelease had a god pack... Sorin as the rare, Arlinn Kord as the flip, and a foil Hahiri. it was INSANE. Everybody in the shop was yelling and jumping around it was crazzzy

me and my roommate each opened a box last night. The amount of extra cards in these packs are insane. At least 7 of them had double rares and one had 2 rares and avycyn. awesome

i have cracked 24 boxes and there seems to be some pretty good boxes like this out there. Best box I had was westvale abbey, foil westvale abbey, foil arlinn kord, jace, sorin, avacyn, and 2 thing in the ice.
Funny how it works, you open a whole booster box and no Sorin, and just the other day I had some pocket change so I bought my first single booster and got a Sorin
Dude, Altered Beast is such a sweet game, I'm kinda young for it (18), but I remember playing the booty off that game at my grandpa's house. So much fun!
withing about the first 15 packs I've opened of soi, including a pre-release pack, fatpack and a box, I somehow managed to pull 3 archangel avacyn. all together i've also pulled 6 westvale abbey, one of which was foil as well. Talk about crazy luck

The other slot is a foil/fliprare slot.
opened a fat pack at midnight and got Jace, Relentless Dead, Ulvenwald Hydra, 2 duals, and a foil Tamiyo's Journal, decided to buy 3 more packs with one having Sigarda and Westvale Abbey in the same pack. bought 3 more and got Thing in the Ice and a second foil Tamiyo's Journal. also got a bonus pack for doing a midnight draft and opened a second Ulvenwald Hydra.
All that new card smell! I like the inclusion of the card spotlight in the bottom left.

ALTERED BEAST Is amazing! I have one of these recently made genesis and it comes with preloaded games. I play it from time to time.

If you had gotten an Arlinn with Nahiri, you got 2 Planeswalkers to make the Aggressive-Silent Death type of deck! But, much worry on Sorin, Grim Nemesis and Avacyn. For Sorin, if you got a Jace with it, you good for a Undead type of deck. Nahiri and Arlinn I have and I was one of these days going to make the Aggro/Silent Kill deck, with 2 Planeswalkers as a tag-team type of play...
That extra slot is where flip rares go. It takes the place of a common.
I'm excited to play white weenies in standard. Me and my teammate pulled a lot of the stuff and I even got two Avacyn at the prerelease, so the deck will have a good boss in it.

Unless Wizards did make a crazy decision with the mythic rates in this set, this is incredible. You pulled six regular ones and a foil one, what are the chances of getting that along with an incredible foil rare too!
Hey Jeremy, I may have an idea to consider to speed up the videos: if you have the free time, at the end of the video, go through the rares. Maybe you can even make a highlight reel if you have the time, that way people can see what you pulled if that's what they want :)
I got a Nahiri planeswalker and a Avacyn on prerelease. It was my first time to a prerelease so I am excited to go again!
2 boxes, 4 fatpacks, no Avacyn... my friend opens her 10th pack... Avacyn, foil Goldnight Castigator.
Haven't had much luck with SOI so far...hopefully will soon! (Pulled Gitrog Monster and foil Elusive Tormentor at prerelease).

Otherwise, I pulled bulk mythics (Ulvenwald Hydra, 2 Mindwrack Demons, 2 Goldnight Castigators (which is somewhat okay, I guess), 3 Startled Awake, 2 Wolf of Devil's Breach, Behold The Beyond, Descend Upon the Sinful, Geralf's Masterpiece)

I've been brewing a modern simic Thing in the Ice deck that runs Natural Affinity for added giggles.
I find it interesting that my boosters have the flipcards before the uncommons and yours are after the rare. They must have produced them differently for the European market.

Yes it looks too good to be true, but it was, my friend pulled an Arlinn first and i thought, well i wont be making a werewolf EDH deck now, and then i go onto pull a Foil one(with a Westvale in the same pack), i was stunned, couple of packs later i thought reality was tearing when i pulled a Foil Sorin too!
The big floor with the box that we split 3 ways, i got exceptionally lucky, my other friend got very lucky, but my last friend while pulled enough to break even wasn't really lucky :/ Although im sure his luck will turn round :)

One does not simply get a Thing in the Ice and 2 Westvale abbey cards, (and one of them is a foil) in a row.. and i still haven't finished watching the video. In Aragorn's voice: "It cannot be..."
Opened a Fat Pack and felt dissapointed, the only decent thing i enjoyed was a To The Slaughter foil, nice destructive card, but i wanted a Diregraf Colossus to be honest, reminds me of Grave Titan and it's perfect for a zombie deck.
Some friends of mine and I opened a box and got a foil avacyn, Arlinn and sorin (from the same pack), westvale, mindwrack and a thing in the ice
From the looks of it, the extra slot is the foil/rare flip card, slot

Avacyn was not a purifier, but I would rename her: Avacyn, Consumed By Corruption.
Hey! I guess thay describes the world today! You lie to someone, when they trust it they fall into corruption. 1 lie starts corruption, which then becomes hard to stop than normal.
Avacyn fell under corrupted view points from something she put trust in. After Sorin killed her, Emrakul came forth.
I guess Nahiri was a good Harbinger to corruption in Shadows Over Innistrad!
Avacyn may have held the powerful divinity, but was not strong enough in the mind. Looks like Sorin made a mistake!
If Avacyn was so strong, why did she easily fall under a corrupted view?!
Looks it also describes how easy corrupted views are today, and what chaos it later leads to...
I miss the synergy of the Innistrad before.
Stromkirk Captains, Stromkirk Nobles, Falkenrath Marauders and Markov Blademaster + Vampiric Fury.
I stomped on so many kids at my high school with this main set up. Mmmm, gives me a little chub. I still have the deck somewhere, I tried building a wolf/werewolf deck with Immerwolf, Pyreheart Wolf, Darkthicket Wolf and Briarpack Alpha with hunger of the howlpack but I didn't enjoy it as much. I tried a full flip werewolf deck with huntsman of the fells and a few others I'm forgetting, and full moon's rise/moonmist but idk. Vampires were so fucking aggressive and if you're opponent didn't play faster deck then yours, which was only possible with white human weenies, champion of the parish, ordric, master tactician and some others with heavy mattock, wooden stakes, and blazing torches, but even still, you can still win if you have all four stromkirks out.
Memories. Those were the days.
