Went to Pre realese for my first time ever yesterday, Pulled a Polukranos, A Thassa and a alt art foil Thassa.
Great pulls in value but i didnt win any of my 3rounds. But i had a fun time and learnt alot :)
My promo card was a Temple of enlightment.
Edit: i won a random price that they give away to the ones that didnt win anything else :)

Sadly there are no Goblins in Theros so I would expect to hear less of the accent. :(
An entire box 🤩! Will save it to watchlist though till after I crack my bundle!
I know this is late but I did go to my pre-release we had one on Friday at 7 and I build a blue black control deck with ashiok in it. Got 5th Place in that tournament. Then went again for Saturday's pre-release at 4 and build a jund deck and went Four win and 1 lose got second place. Got really tired when for two-headed giant and me and my friend we did not do so well. But have fun at this pre-release

Did my first ever pre-release yesterday. The first official round my promo was Ashiok, but I got NOTHING to support her. Ended up 1 / 2. The second round (which was competitive) my promo was Purphoros' Intervention, but again... NOTHING to support it. I ended up 7th out 19 places, but the only other pull of note was the foil, alter art, green demi god. Had a great time, but hopefully my preorder box has better pulls.
I pulled polukranos and Uro on my prerelease and came 4th place! On my lgs we have a hadit of leaving the lands on the store so we have lands for events, but this time the owner said: "the lands stay in the store as usual" and all of us started laughing😄
Did pretty well. Got a box and the precon decks too. Between all the packs, my highlights were nyxbloom ancient, dryad of elysian grove, three Anax, three Tymaret, Elspeth, alternate art selesnya planeswalker (didn't look too good), Klothus, Erebos, kioria bests the sea serpent, and *three* Nyx Lotus. Pretty wild mythic count, but I was fishing for ashiok and the simic titan and missed both. Got Erebos and Nyxbloom though. Personal highlights were two of the azorius sphinx, the azorius enchantment, a near playset of drag to the underworld, the white enchantment tutor, and Shadowspear.
Did ok in the playing. Made an aggro orzhov. Ran over a simic deck pretty convincingly, but got rolled bad by bant hodgepodge. Mostly that 4/4 white flying horse that I didn't have enough outs to deal with, and the kioria saga cut down my round 2 comeback right quick. Didn't get to round 3 (went to pick up my preordered booster box early), but probably would've won and gone 2nd place. Doing another prerelease later today, so let's see if I do better. Judging from the commons, I might try to lean more red this time, as many of the reds aren't bad in a draft context. Possibly simic ramp, depending on my pulls.
Overall I'd say white and black made out like bandits, especially white as they almost never get fun stuff. Green retained Daddy WotC's favor like it always does, blue disappointingly slipped up with lamer versions of things that already exist (and for some reason pushed kraken tribal... *shrugs*), and red contributed nothing much outside of satyr tribal and (admittedly) the set's primary board wipe for one of its rares. As far as mechanics, Escape sucks dryad acorns unless you build into it (impossible in draft; don't bother). You basically need to self-mill to make it work, and even if you do, other cards in this set can very cheaply exile your whole graveyard. I almost think the gods are better as enchantments because they lose creature vulnerabilities altogether. Their bodies are barely worth it when you can get tempo-jammed by a stray Unsummon, and don't get me started on all the "exile target creature" options available in this set and elsewhere. Not really worth it for just a slightly bigger stick. (Eldraine had a nasty CMC2 sorcery in black that exiles target creature. Edit: Epic Downfall. That was it.)
Pulled an awesome, foil, MYTHIC Nyxbloom Ancient as my prerelease promo and a constellation Nylea in the pack along with destiny spinner. Trample land wins!

I have a question- please help anyone
I am just getting into magic and I want to buy a booster box. When I go onto magic wizards .com the official site i go to products and then I get to Amazon, there i see a booster box is 111$ is that right? Or is a booster box in magic like pokemon where it costs 140$?
I seen some reviews that they were fake cards from the link the to Amazon off the official site- it was only a few reviews
Booster boxes for Standard Magic sets are typically $95-100. I usually only buy the ones with Amazon listed as the seller (on Amazon) or trusted sellers on eBay or TCG Player.

Click on New (20) from $99.95, then scroll down until you get to the one that says ships and sold by Amazon.com. That way you know you're not getting it from a third party. Alternatively, an even better way is to visit a local game store, but the boxes will usually be more expensive.
