    Hello fellow TH-camrs.
    Google is getting ready to demonetize small channels like mine.
    Make no mistake, this is not a money maker, maybe pennies.
    However, I would love to grow my channel.
    If you found this video helpful, please subscribe and I can do the same to help you grow your channel.
    Thank you, I am truly grateful!

    Thanks enjoyed the pants pocket demos!

      There is an updated version of these pants and shorts. They have a two additional pockets, one on each leg that is nice to slide a phone in. However, what I did notice about this newer version, is the pockets inside of the large cargo pockets are smaller. Also, the zipper opening in the front of the pants is smaller. Otherwise they seem to be the same. I do enjoy the extra pockets, I am slightly annoyed by the smaller stitch pockets within the cargo and zipper openings. Thanks for watching!

      @@m3rdpwr Indeed.... came to watch De Santis Super Fly holster review... left impressed by the shorts (and even hoping that they make a full pant leg version of those shorts) ;-)

      @@mcouture8169 they do have the full pants version as well. They also now include an additional new pocket that your phone easily slips on to on both sides with the newer version. I have had maybe 20 pairs of the shorts and the pants. They are awesome.

    The E Gat Slide since it presents the revolver vertically can be worn left of center and used as a cross draw. The Don Hume Jit slide covers more of the trigger guard and makes cross draw more difficult. Cross draw is useful driving and or sitting. Limited application but useful in some circumstances.

    Desantis makes the E Gat Slide to fit your LCR. Similar to the Jit Slide but better made I think.

    I believe I have those same pants and my Ruger LCRx is in 9mm

    • @m3rdpwr
      @m3rdpwr  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are new versions of this pants. Where the cargo pocket is on the legs, there is now additional slip in pocket on each side. So this is on both the shorts and the pants now. It's really nice to be able to just quickly slide your phone into either pocket. The only drawback, is if you have your LCR in that cargo pocket, that phone slot becomes awkward because the LCR is pressing against the phone and your leg. I wanted to do an updated video, but I didn't think there would be any demand for it. Thanks for watching!

    • @m3rdpwr
      @m3rdpwr  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, I found the LCR in 9 mm to be an interesting one. Moon clips instead of using a speed loader. I used the five star firearms speed loaders for 38 and 357. They are very well made, you should just buy there custom holes to for it if you choose to go that route.

    bad thing about cargo pocket carry is that pocket is heavy and with each step that pocket flops around

    • @m3rdpwr
      @m3rdpwr  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. However, with this nemesis and that square backing, it's not too bad.
      since the regular upper are oversized, I can also keep the whole pocket holster with the square backing in the pocket and it holds it very secure. Now that I have dropped 61 lb this year, I don't even need the backing to put it in my pocket because my new identical trew spec pants and shorts, have smaller pockets. Thanks for watching!

      @@m3rdpwr I've got my lcr in front pocket. I too am in shorts 99% of the year. I'm in the process of getting new shorts. I'll look into these. Also checking out Duluth trading shorts. Great video by the way. ALSO check out boraii pocket kydex holster....... I love it so far

      @@bryman31 I've looked into those shorts you mentioned before, I didn't think they would be right for me. I think I have a link in the description to the shorts I was wearing, or at least my Amazon store. They are a little bit rough at first because they're need to be washed, but after a few washes they soften up nicely. Plenty of pockets, and the big cargo pockets have mini pockets for extra magazines, or in my case, speed loaders..

    38 Special or 357 ?

      38, the 357 LCR was not available at the time. Wish it had been available.

      @merliny2k 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cool I got the 357 and it has become one of my favorites. Like Karl Malden used to say never leave home without it :)
      I also saw your earlier video on gun belts and you may want to check out Two Fools Leather Goods and their line of belts. I really like it a lot very sturdy and the buckle system is really interesting. Their motto is Buck The Buckle. Have a great day !!

    • @m3rdpwr
      @m3rdpwr  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would have preferred the LCR 357.
      Right now they seem to still be in shortage and the LCRs in general have gone up in price.
      You may not be able to tell, but I bought mine with the CTC Laser grip from Ruger.
      The CTC Grip feels better than the stock Hogue Tamer Grip that comes with the regular LCR, but the Tamer handles the recoil much better.
      Right now the LCR 357 costs as much as my LCR 38 did with the CTC grip from the factory.
      Not surprising though since I have had mine 6 years.
      The LCR 357 higher weight than the LCR 38 helps with recoil a tad more when using 38+P Ammo.
      I'll just have to wait it out.

    Convinced me that pocket carry is slow on the draw and owb would be better for the lcr

    • @m3rdpwr
      @m3rdpwr  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the cargo pocket, it is slow, no doubt. While carrying the same way is important, sometimes for me, it's unavoidable. I have carried the LCR OWB, Pocket and IWB. IWB conceals the best for me, however I find it harder and slower to remove than OWB. For me, OWB conceals the least being more noticeable since I would tend to carry more at the 3:00 position, whereas IWB is more towards the 5: 00-6:00 position. Pocket Carey for me is a last resort. Finally, carrying in a regular pocket is definitely faster than the cargo pocket. Thanks for watching and your feedback.

      Even though I'm in the cold New England state of Massachusetts, I wear shorts all year round pretty much, because I'm always sweating. So unless I wear an oversized longer t-shirt, it can be tough. Even now that I lost 85 lb, I'm still always on the warm side.

      @Liam Kelleher Short story long. I started running 2 years ago. I cannot imagine pocket holstering the LCR in gym shorts. In my opinion, it's just too much weight and pulls down too much. I have seen people carry with a belly band, for that purpose. I have also seen a fanny pack type holster, I saw someone using that carries under the gym shorts. The firearm kind of sits between the shorts and your junk. I however, cannot see myself using the fanny pack version, just because of where the firearm is,..
      @SheEquipsHerself , has shown several belly bands, for men and women and where to get them. This type I have considered getting.

    Constructive criticism only: clicked the video expecting to see a review of 3 holsters. Barely any time spent on 2 of them. Too much safety sally for my taste. I don’t care if Gun is loaded or unloaded, use proper handling techniques and get to the point of the reviews. No viewer has ever died from AD during youtube reviews(I always keep the screen pointed in a safe direction).

    • @m3rdpwr

      Mario Monti good point. Realized my error. Question, how did the other holsters do? I just started CCW an lcr and haven’t found the perfect holster. I’m considering jit or pancake style but wanted input before spending the cash

    • @m3rdpwr
      @m3rdpwr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlSiguenza JIT Slide is nice and compact, but doesn't have a lot of retention. I did a comparison in it with my new belts in an earlier video. For pocket, I still use the SuperFly. For IWB or OWB I use Crossbreed Holsters. I use both. I like the feel of the Crossbreed SnapSlide OWB, but without a jacket or lose shirt, it can stick out a bit. For IWB I use the Crossbreed SuperTuck. It conceals much better, but is certainly not as comfortable as the other two. Crossbreed is having a sale at the moment.
