Ruger actually offers no written warranty on their guns. They just stand behind their products unlike S&W who does have a written warranty but finds any way they can with legal loopholes not to honor it. Ruger customer service has been top notch for me.

The LCR 22 is my EDC. A revolver in 22 is more reliable. Sometimes I'll drop the LCP22 in my pocket as a backup. It can go anywhere. @thepracticaltacticalminima3940

@@michaelschaffer9165I think it would make a pretty good backup when I buy my first gun it’s gonna be my main then imma get the lcp2 as a backup then imma get a FN FNX as my home defense gun

I agree. But with any ruger i ever had i never had to worry because it never gave me a problem. Deff a company that deserves more notice.

Good content in your presentation. Thank you for creating it. I have both. I prefer the LCR any day over the LCP. The LCR revolver is reliable like the sun. No thought process needed when and if you need to use it. Very accurate. Runs 100%.

    I bought a Ruger LCP2 in 22 caliber at a gunshop..brand new.
I couldn't get it to fire Aguila ammo without jamming. It wound jam everytime I pulled the slide back.
With CCI stingers I'd get at least one or two misfeed with every magazine..and CCI mini mags I'd get one misfeed out of every other magazine.
Then I noticed the hammer spring was brown with what looked like rust.
I sent it back to Ruger for repairs.
They told me they replaced the slide and the firing pin spring.
I dont believe Ruger ever looked at my gun because nothing had changed..it still wasnt at all reliable.
Even the rusted hammer spring was still there.
Then I ran across a box of 50 rounds of American Eagle I had forgotten about.
I had never fired this particular type of 22LR through my gun yet.
To my surprise it fired all 50 rounds without an issue.
So I bought 5 more boxes of American Eagle 22LR.
Out of 250 rounds I only had one misfeed.
I think it makes this ruger reliable enough for concealed carry.
I have a 357 magnum revolver but my 22 caliber Ruger is much more fun to shoot.
    I'm glad I bought it.

Thanks for the video. I have a three 22LR handguns the GSG 1911, the Ruger SR22 and the Ruger LCR 22LR, just me not speaking for anyone else but if I was to carry a 22LR it would definitely be the Ruger LCR over the other two. My GSG has 9000 rounds ( replaced the recoil spring twice for preventive maintenance) and the SR22 about 2000, both great and reliable only failures was ammo related.

They replaced mine free of charge after I sent it back for not firing and I was the second owner. They stand behind their products for sure the new one has functioned flawlessly.

nice review! I have an LCP2 and I wish I had gotten the LCR instead. I have sent it back to ruger twice now, I like that they are willing to do work on them but I'm still having issues across multiple ammo types (CCI mini mag target, federal punch, CCI stinger, ...). Lots of premature slide lockbacks across the board and the stingers fail to feed a lot. I'm getting a ~20% failure rate which is pretty bad, might send it to ruger again.

It's pretty picky with ammo. I'd recommend getting the Galloway spring kit to help with light strikes and then try using plain round nose ammunition with it. Also I think Mcarbo has a slide spring that should solve your lock back issue

I’d be quite interested in the LCP .22 if it had the same clean manual of arms as the centerfire LCP. However, the weird little manual safety and the magazine disconnect really dampen my interest in the pistol.

You should get the pachmayr guardian grip. I have one on all my LCR revolvers with the short barrel.

I have an LCP 22LR….Sights are way off, low and to the left shot by more then 1 person….I sent it in to Ruger..Ruger replaced the slide and barrel and the same problem still exists….So I installed an ArmaLaser sight and adjusted it to where the bullets go….I can hold a palm size group with a mag dump at 5 yards..The most reliable ammo is Aguila High Velocity 40GR copper round nose in my LCP…Federal Punch will not cycle through my LCP….My 22LR revolver is a snub nose S&W Model 317 AirLight,(No longer made)…The S&W 317 snubby weighs 9.6oz…I pocket carry both from time to time…I plan on installing Mcarbo spring and trigger kit to upgrade my LCP….I have seen some reviews of this upgrade and it seem s to be a great reliability improvement…..Thanks for the video..😎👍

My LCR22 goes out the door with me most of the time. My LCP22 is not as reliable so it can only be a backup piece.

What tape do you have on the LCP II handle? I'd like to add some to my LCR, not for grippiness but to make the handle longer for a better trigger / finger match.

Shot 12 magazines of CCI Mini Mag this morning in two guns, flawless. Loaded 1 magazine with Federal Auto Match, 4th round was a dud. Great primer strike. I want the LCR. I can't see carrying a .22 that isn't a revolver.

My lcp2 will shoot all 40 gr bullets. It doesn’t let keep 36gr or 32gr. Federal punch 29 gr is the exception. Federal punch is the best!
