Great old piece of equipment. Looks like they take good care of it! Very Unique to see a smaller, mid-mount rear facing tower-ladder Quint. And any chance to blast the lights, sirens, and horn!!
I had a upstairs bedroom fire about 12 years ago here in Dayton, Ohio. A fire fighter walked up to my front door, turned around, and yelled for plastic. He covered up my tv, and furniture with plastic so it didn't get messed up from water, and the hose rubbing against it. I could of never been more great full for that fire fighter that day.
If you could you should come to Madison Wisconsin and visit station 1 for sure and maybe some of the others. We have 14 stations and each have their own niche. Station 1 has a water rescue boat, a tiller aerial, the OIC car, and many other things. It would be cool to see a vid about them

That truck looks to be in real nice shape for its year, and I know it gets used too. Really kind of surprised me that a 1997 still have an old two stroker for power!
Amazing vídeo as always, gotta say, I love when they keep the original light system on it, much better than changing to overwhelming LEDs all over the place, gotta say I love those old rotors and strobes! Thank you for the amazing review

It’s called a quint because has five components: pump, tank, hose, ladders, aerial. A truck typically has no pump/tank/hose but contains a large number of ground ladders in addition to the aerial. An engine does not have the aerial component and only a couple ladders, usually one extension ladder and one roof ladder.

Love that truck 20 old school but cool! What's difference between truck/engine and a quint?
A quint is a ladder with a water hookup. Ladders are usually referred to as “trucks”. Engines are the apparatus that pump water to the hoses.
It’s called a quint because has five components: pump, tank, hose, ladders, aerial.
