My dad sold trucks in these PA areas. The rigs he sold are so far behind what they are now. But as he said many times, you could always count on PA departments to want the biggest and most featured rigs of anywhere.

There was a guy who went by ISOSlayer back 15+ years ago (I believe he passed away) who would use potential ISO ratings and subsequent fire insurance savings for residents to solicit funding for fire departments/districts to purchase multiple trucks like these at one time (only usually with even more ladders ... on dual hydraulic ladder racks.) Literally, millions and millions of $'s at a time.

I need to reach out to my fire marshal see if he can disclose what new types of vehicles we are gonna be getting. Sometimes being 17 I wish I could advice them on the best things from what I see others do but they then can do what’s best on there end with my advice. Add medical and rescue gear and this could really be an all out vehicle maybe have a tiller truck that can also be a pumper and engine as well as medical and rescue gear and man you could save money, space, time, and personal. You can then have maybe some non ladder truck ones as well.

Also, PA does not require an AED on each apparatus. NFPA recommends it, but it is not a legal requirement.

How much water do you guys carry on a typical engine over on that side of the pond?
Our typical municipal engines (on my agency) run 500 gallons which takes a lot of room, same goes for the 3,000 gallon here. Curious if you guys have less water on board but more equipment and a stripped down tender/tanker.
