    In my state is illegal to pit a motorcycle and is also illegal to spike strip a motorcycle cuz that's automatically attempted murder and if you do any of these barriers and you do damage to people's vehicles in my state you are reliable for all of the damages

      Right on cuz. In Alaska if you pass a hitchhiker when it's -20°f or colder, it's attempted murder. And in Arizona, if a stranger knocks on your door and asks for a glass of water and you don't give it to them, you can be charged with attempted murder also. How bout that cuz?

The windshield is done - no one is harmed. Hey, you can't drive if you can't see! The car is also "marked" so everyone knows your car is being chased by cops! The paint is sticky so windshield wiper/fluid won't work!

    The majority of these devices are junk.
    Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Firestone, Goodyear, Kumho, Michelin, Yokohama and Hankook all make and sell run flat tires for passenger cars, SUV, and trucks. So anything that uses spikes ain't going to work.
    Regarding the Grappler, all it takes is for a determined driver to hit the brakes and smash in the front of the cruiser. Then, while the officer is dealing with the aftermath of the collision, the bad guy gets out and deals with the police officer.
    The Crookhook is wonderful, unless the other vehicle is all-wheel or 4W drive and has more power than the police car trying to stop it.
    The Barnacle looks cool, but the vacuum hold can be broken with a Slim Jim or even a length of high strength fishing line.

    • @Hinru13
      @Hinru13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't deal with only one Police unit during a pursuit. Run flat tires don't last indefinitely and should be considered alternatives to a spare tire more than a full performance tire. The part about defeating the parking meter tool is irrelevant because no one really cares.

    Some of these devices are very innovative but very expensive for poor countries’s police and law enforcement agencies

    • @MildarValsik
      @MildarValsik ปีที่แล้ว

      Yet they are able to pay officers and give them cars to chase criminals while putting everyone they come across in danger too. Seems like a little extra money isn't that bad of an idea. Besides somtimes those expensive patrol cars can get damaged while trying to stop someone not to mention civilians. It can also limit the number of cars required for the chase. In the end saves more than it cost. Yet like another said so.e of them takes extreme driving skill to use.

    • @Tylerd838
      @Tylerd838 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MildarValsik that’s because they need police cars. How else are they supposed to get around? Also, do you not realize that Ford gives police officers discounts so the cars are kind of cheap? And did you forget that defund the police is still a movement

    • @MildarValsik
      @MildarValsik ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tylerd838 lmao Ford... sure they want to advertise their equipment to be the best by supporting the police. You think the government gets a discount when they spend too much on nearly everything. Okay sure the cars are "cheap". Defund the police..... yes it's a thing. If police can't follow the law they don't deserver. If they don't serve and protect all life at all times they don't deserve to act like a military with military type gear. Also they sure don't train officers like they should in many cases.
      A TON of money goes into each office and equipment. However the biggest disappointment is this... They are treated like a Walmart employee. They are told to go out there alone WITH NO BACKUP. Just like businesses don't fully staff. Meanwhile something happens and need about 5 cars to stop one car. Got to get everyone coordinated. Got to get everyone to dodge traffic. Then finally after a few thousands of dollars or a few hundred thousand dollars later in man power and damages a criminal is stopped. I was a security guard and have talked to plenty of people. Some police officers are moving into security jobs because of some of the missed up ways things are handled. Police officers make 15 - 20 dollars an hour. Security guards. Well they can get the same almost without having to drive and chase. It hasn't been defunded. It has been held back by everything way way before "defund the police". Offices are starting to do the math. It being learned that the risk isn't worth the reward. They need a side by side partner more than any equipment. The need training more. They aren't quiting because of the things they should be held responsible for. IT'S their pay too.

    @amzarnacht6710 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wow, jump right on stupid with both feet in the opening sequence... well done! I never knew stupid could come so quickly!
    Everyone knows spike strips do *_NOT_* stop fleeing idiots, they barely even slow them down. What they do is create a car that quickly becomes difficult to maneuver so it's MORE likely they'll wreck out - possibly taking others with them - than safely stop.
    And the same statement goes for the last thing... that has been around for more than 50 years.
    As for stopping airless tires... the same webbing as the grappler with installed barbed spikes. Drag it across the road and the car's tires yank it up into the axle where it shreds and causes the axles to seize. Impregnate the webbing with the same wire they use for TOW missiles and it could literally cut the wheels right off the vehicle.
    I've already encountered the barnacle (or something damn near identical). It took 3 minutes to remove w/o paying any extortion fees. When they called to get it back I charged *_them._* Since they left it attached to my car it became mine so I kept it and sold it back to them. I did the same thing with boots for years and never paid a fine. Anything left on or attached to the vehicle, which is mine, is then mine as well. Ooopsie.

  • @russ7063
    @russ7063 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just like the item that was being advertised about 10 years ago it was supposed to be able to kill a cars electric system from behind the fleeing cars electric system. That could be used on some overzealous officer when the officer, thinks that the car ahead isn't pulling over because the driver has music playing too loud, and can't hear the siren behind them, and some officer thinks they aren't stopping right away. So the cop just goes ahead and zapps somebody's electrical system. The car just goes ahead and the car has no power.
