    Great review.
    One thing I’ll mention is going from 15w to 30w isn’t double the power. In order to get double the power you’d need to deliver 150w, or 10x the initial output for a 3db increase.
    That’s also why these mini amps are so impressive, because they show that you don’t need much power to get decent output, it’s when you want high output that you have to start throwing a lot of electricity and components behind it.

      I have a 15W RMS speaker with a max of 30W. Does that mean that i can put this 50W amp up to 30% at most to stay within RMS?

    Thanks for the impressions on the nobsound amp. I went with the nobsound G2 mono amp for my testing which worked really well but is of course more expensive. Looking forward to your transducer review, have a great sunday

      Yes you can, Google 'bass shakers in parallel'. There's a type of wiring diagram you will need to follow.

    The 12v power supply is so you don't blow out speakers that are less than 50W like the dayton bst 2 speakers.

    where did you connect the usb plug to, your computer?

      That's correct, the amp has an onboard USB sound card.

  • @david199313
    @david199313 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey, there are bluetooth audio amps that has no built in sound card. if i take a usb sound card and plug it in the amp usb port will i get a nobsound amp? i only want to use bluetooth without any wires between the pc and the amp and this would be the even cheaper this way.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you mean plug a Bluetooth adaptor into your PC USB and connect to the Bluetooth on the amp, then yes that will work. Make sure it's a Bluetooth 4.0 dongle, older Bluetooth dongles might not connect to the amp.

    How would you mount them to playseat challenge?

    • @markp2085
      @markp2085 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am getting ready to mount something similar to my Next Level racing GT Lite. I am going to use two Hole Strap U Bracket Tube Strap Tension Clips. You get the correct size for your tubing on your playseat challenge. It then screws or bolts into a block of wood that you have bolted your transducers to. I am going to use knobs on all my bolts so it will be easy to remove when I fold up my next level racing gt lite.

    Do you need a low pass filter for this use? Or does simhub only send low frequencies? Thanks

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not needed as you can tune the frequencies for effects in SimHub.

    • @demiquadfpv3333
      @demiquadfpv3333 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimRacingCorner thank you, I'm thinking to direct mount one to the bottom of the seat and connect it to right channel but choose the option with out separation and put road effects etc to it, then the other to the pedal plate on the left channel and put TC abs etc to that one. Do you think that's possible with SIM hub and this amp?

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@demiquadfpv3333 You can't separate the effects that way, both channels get the same vibrations. You'll need a second soundcard output and amp to do this.

    wow, i like what you are doing here :-)
    ? are you using simhub?
    ? could i use 3 of those amps - first front feedback, second rear feedback, third other feedbacks like gear shift and motorrotation
    ? do i need one soundcard per transducer, or can i run them via USB to avoid soundcard investment

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you.
      1) I am using SimHub.
      2) Yes you can, but for more sophistication separation of effects, you'll need SimVibe. There's also SimShaker which is less expensive, but I haven't used that one.
      3) It's one soundcard per amplifier, not per transducer. So if the amplifier has 2 channels you can run 2 transducers off one soundcard. If you have a 4 channel amplifier, that's 4 transducers and one soundcard also. You can use a USB soundcard, or if the amplifier has a built-in USB soundcard, then that will work. Like the amp I'm using here.

    What software do you use to get these working? Is it pretty straight forward or do you have to set each SIM up or is it pretty much plug and play? Thanks

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Use SimHub, it's free. It's straightforward to setup. SimHub will read the telemetry from the game, and convert that into the vibrations. You can tune the effects per game. In my upcoming review, I'll run through a quick start guide to help beginners out.

      @@SimRacingCorner Did you do a simhub review yet? I just ordered the Nobsound 2x100w per channel amp, pretty much the same as this one but with no sound card in built in just AUX and Phone connection. I have no idea how to set this up to make the game telemetry sounds go to the bass shakers and my gaming sound go to my bluetooth head phones or my Oculus rift.

      @@SimRacingCorner all my new kit including my sim lab rig arrives today......I'll won't be sleeping tonight lol hopefully I'll figure it all out. One thing though. Do you recommend having the 40w exciters either side of the rig or seat, or doing a front to back configuration? I ordered 2 Dayton Audio DAEX32EP-4 Thrusters.

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JayKullar Very cool, you definitely made a good choice going with a Sim Lab build. As far as placement goes for the shakers, you may have to experiment a bit. But If you just have 2 of them, then I would recommend both being located either on the front of the rig or both on the seat frame area. A left/right placement is the best position.
