Hi again, here for the banana plugs. Is the size of them important? I was looking for the specs but I didn't find any, which ones are you using? Thanks in advance
Hey man! Do you think I could use these with my playseat chalenge for cheap bass shakers (back seat and in pedal housing) or would they not be powerful enough?
Hi mate, I finally did this mod. But what's weird. Is I only set TC,ABS and wheel lock and wheel spin on rears only. So I shouldn't feel anything unless I'm losing traction or ABS kicks in. However, I still feel road vibration and engine rumble... Has anyone else noticed this?
@@SimRacingCorner OK, so on AMS2 it will only use the 4 effects I've set. But in AC it will rumble like a PS4 controller to just about everything, yet give priority to the effects I've set. I really can't figure out why AC is pushing extra effects through that I don't even have enabled. Under calibration, there's a slider to enable what AC is doing, and it was slid all the way to the option that sets auto effects. But even after resetting calibration and sliding it all the way to the left (only use predefined effects) it still rumbles as I drive down the road. I can't say I dislike it but I'd also like to disable it if I want
I was planning to get Sim 3D rumble kit until I saw this. I am tossing between the dayton TT25-8 puck which has 35W as opposed to a 20W puck that is half the size. Do you find that 20W is strong enough I would love to hear your reply.
Hello there! I did find these small pucks we're strong enough for this job, and their size makes them easy to work with. It was a success. Way back, I did mod another set of pedals with one of those Dayton pucks. th-cam.com/video/vpmBjFbit_A/w-d-xo.html. That worked out great too. I wouldn't say it was better using the Dayton, it's just another option. Over the long term, though, I fully expect the Dayton pucks to be more durable.
You were right. The soldering on my exciter broke almost the next day. I didn't connect it well enough... I ended witht he dayton tt-25-8. they are much more solid!
Basically, yes, the Buttkicker is essentially a larger version of this. Though, of course, you can't isolate the car brake/slip effects. You will be sending game audio through just the exciters, just like the Buttkicker with your PS5.
@@SimRacingCorner I was hoping they'd be m3 as that's the smallest I have a tap for and would go right to the metal behind the pedal, but maybe they can be made bigger. did anything ever vibrate loose during use?
I've also have Emi with my Simjack pedal using bass shaker like this. I found that grounding the controller unit to the controller housing and grounding the pedal by soldering wire on it fixed it. Note i put it on the pedal base plate as mounting the bass shaker directly on the pedal still caused interference even with grounding

@@Chef_BS1 Thanks for reply. Yes I've researched extensively into tactile transducers for console setup. It's a pity that you cannot customise it via software like you can on pc. @@free_styler I’m using a Nobsound NS-03G sub amp. @@Chef_BS1 The Ns-03g only has one channel, is this OK for a setup that includes more than one transducer? I will be using it on a ps5 - no optical. Will use an hdmi splitter. but it doesn't need to be on steam. it runs in the background and just does its thing whenever you launch a title, whether that is from steam or anywhere else

Some screw heads we're striped, so I wasn't able to look inside, but otherwise I did consider that as an option.

Yes, you can run multiple amps, and tune each shaker to run specific effects.
Which ones would better or are the daytona pucks still better especially riving with shoes?
I would go with Dayton pucks if possible, but they are larger.
Would you prefer smaller ones attached to each pedal or a larger BST1 placed under the pedal tray?
I prefer this style of mod, it feels more connected and distinct with the effects coming through the pedals directly, rather than under my heels.

It will depend on your amp and ohm rating it supports. If you're going to run then from a mini amp, then it's likely 40 ohms.
Why do you put the small piece of wood between the exciter and the pedals?
The exciters are too wide to fit against the back of the pedal.

Can you tell me which one of the shakers is need from the 4 in the link?
You pick the Ohm rating of the exciter to match the Ohm rating of your amp.
Does sim hub require multiple outputs (audio) to separate these from the other shakers?
If your amp has multiple channels. You can send separate signals/effects to each shaker. I show this in the video
Hey man! Do you think I could use these with my playseat chalenge for cheap bass shakers (back seat and in pedal housing) or would they not be powerful enough?
No, they would be too weak for that
@@SimRacingCorner gotcha, thanks. Would you say in your experience you prefer these or vibration motors for rumble pedals?
Transducers are better. But wouldn't say it's a big deal for this particular task when adding a vibration effect to pedals.
@simracingcorner Hi, did you go with the 4 or 8 ohm and also the 20w or 25w? Thanks
The ohms need to match your amp ohm rating, so that's what matters. Get the 25watt ones.
Can you plug 2 nobsounds in at once? Thanks
Yes
Hi mate, I finally did this mod.
But what's weird. Is I only set TC,ABS and wheel lock and wheel spin on rears only.
So I shouldn't feel anything unless I'm losing traction or ABS kicks in.
However, I still feel road vibration and engine rumble...
Has anyone else noticed this?
Only the effects you've turned on in SimHub are the ones that should come through. What game? And have you tried other games to test this.
@@SimRacingCorner yeah Its weird... I'm gonna have to test other games. But so far ive only played through content manager on AC
@@GregoryShtevensh Yeah, that's weird. I know I didn't test these in AC, so I don't have any notes to share on that one.
can you do this on PS4? gt7?
@@SimRacingCorner Thanks for responding to my comment. I ended up buying both to try!
You were right. The soldering on my exciter broke almost the next day. I didn't connect it well enough... I ended witht he dayton tt-25-8. they are much more solid!
Is it possible to run two separate amps on simhub? i.e. one for pedals and one for seat.
Yes, If you have two sound cards. One sound card output per amp.
Ok, thanks 😊
Shrinkwarp the connections!
Is there a way I could do this to my csl pedals for ps5. My Buttkicker works on ps5
Basically, yes, the Buttkicker is essentially a larger version of this. Though, of course, you can't isolate the car brake/slip effects. You will be sending game audio through just the exciters, just like the Buttkicker with your PS5.
Do 2 of these work better than 1 dayton TTS puck??
@@MDaDonLegacy maybe
how are you connecting them to the wood?
Screws
@@SimRacingCorner ok so what is the thread size?
@@roadi7 The holes are small, probably M2. Though you could easily open them up.
@@SimRacingCorner I was hoping they'd be m3 as that's the smallest I have a tap for and would go right to the metal behind the pedal, but maybe they can be made bigger. did anything ever vibrate loose during use?
It held together fine
I've tried this mod but I'm getting EMI (interference) with my pedals. Anybody having the same problem?
I've also have Emi with my Simjack pedal using bass shaker like this. I found that grounding the controller unit to the controller housing and grounding the pedal by soldering wire on it fixed it. Note i put it on the pedal base plate as mounting the bass shaker directly
on the pedal still caused interference even with grounding
hows it holding up 5 months later?
I've since moved onto other pedal sets to review, so I don't have an update.
I FEEL SO STUPID..... I have two of the amps just like yours ... Simhub cannot see them as an output... the pc doesn't see amp, plugged in to usb mini >....HELP ... i have been trying for months ...
Did you fix it?
you have to use the cable, that comes with the Amp, otherwise it won't recognize it
Will these specific nobsound amplifiers work for tactile transducers setup on a console gaming rig? I need to import them and returning them won't be easy
Yes but you won’t have the access to Sumhub on the console. I have a shaker setup on my homemade rig that use for ps4.
@@Chef_BS1 Thanks for reply. Yes I've researched extensively into tactile transducers for console setup. It's a pity that you cannot customise it via software like you can on pc. Which amp are you using and is it very necessary for the amp to have sub output? Just want to make sure I import all the correct items.
@@free_styler I’m using a Nobsound NS-03G sub amp. I tried hooking my transducer up to a regular audio amp and it brought too many high frequencies to the transducer so I got the sub amp and much better. I’m still working on placement and plan to get another sub and amp once I’m done experimenting with this first setup. Btw. Im using a digital to analog audio converter to convert optical to RCAs.
@@Chef_BS1 The Ns-03g only has one channel, is this OK for a setup that includes more than one transducer? I will be using it on a ps5 - no optical. Will use an hdmi splitter. Will definitely be getting an amp with sub output. Really appreciate your feedback. The info on the Internet is very limited when it comes to consoles.
I want Sim Hub to come to steam even if the price is more as willing to pay more as 95% of all my racing titles are on steam anyways
but it doesn't need to be on steam. it runs in the background and just does its thing whenever you launch a title, whether that is from steam or anywhere else
Помогите купить лицензию simhub. Пожалуйста.
Strap it to the kat!

What pedals are you running?
