Lea Salonga's "Still Hurting" (In Rehearsal) is like one of the most emotional I've heard from her. The performance was so poignant, you wouldn't think it was just rehearsal. The song is from "The Last 5 Years" musical. One of the absolute best from Lea (and from anyone to be honest).

One of my fave LES MIZ songs! (There are lots) One that makes me tear up is her character's "A Little Fall of Rain". Anyway, the acting is kind of limited here because this was the LES MIZ concert, not the actual performance of the whole musical. She returned to LES MIZ years later to play Fantine....Her name is pronounced as "Le-ya". As for other songs, just listen to the singing voices of Jasmine in "A Whole New World" (ALADDIN) and Mulan in "Reflection" (MULAN), Or maybe find vids of her doing MISS SAIGON (she was the first ever Kim). Maybe look for "Sun and Moon". When it comes to recording, she's not the belt-out type of singer, but I assure you, she's got that range, and she gets better as she ages because she continues to train. Lea ("Lay-a") was specially selected to be part of the "Dream Cast" of this 10th anniversary special of Les Miserables. The whole cast is truly remarkable and deserving of their parts. Also, instead of doing the normal stage direction, the cast performed into microphones while the rest of the cast sat behind them on stage. This production was at the Royal Albert Hall in 1995 and was broadcast on PBS and then sold on VHS (I still have my copy!). Not to show my age too much, but I prefer this 10th special over the 25th special. Although Lea kicks ass in that production as well--she plays Fantine in the 25th and delivers as usual. Yah, she's a beast.

yeah, you should watch more of her..aside from Regine, she's also my most favorite singer..I believe that they're like rivals here in the Phils. They're both queens in their own ways. She even sang her own vows on her wedding and it was sooooo good. You should watch her Miss Saigon audition, video quality is old but music quality is so good.

Her reunion with Brad Kane singing A whole new world is also amazing and heartwarming at the same time. Hearing them sing again our childhood disney song. Lea ("Lay-a") was specially selected to be part of the "Dream Cast" of this 10th anniversary special of Les Miserables. The whole cast is truly remarkable and deserving of their parts. Also, instead of doing the normal stage direction, the cast performed into microphones while the rest of the cast sat behind them on stage. This production was at the Royal Albert Hall in 1995 and was broadcast on PBS and then sold on VHS (I still have my copy!). Not to show my age too much, but I prefer this 10th special over the 25th special. Although Lea kicks ass in that production as well--she plays Fantine in the 25th and delivers as usual. Yah, she's a beast.

yeah, you should watch more of her..aside from Regine, she's also my most favorite singer..I believe that they're like rivals here in the Phils. They're both queens in their own ways. She even sang her own vows on her wedding and it was sooooo good. You should watch her Miss Saigon audition, video quality is old but music quality is so good.

Her reunion with Brad Kane singing A whole new world is also amazing and heartwarming at the same time. Hearing them sing again our childhood disney song. Just a beautiful way of bringing back of memories. She also sang her song "Reflections" in Disney Expo in 2011 and hell she still sound the same 👌👌👌

Her first broadway was Ms. Saigon and she got the lead part and she was only 18 yo then that was in the 90's. I love lea (pronounced Le-ah). She's also disney princess voice (mulan and jasmine)...i should say she has the most class among opm.
