@@popochan5050 She's Jett from Valorant. She tried to be an idol in like 2nd gen (maybe early 3rd?) but her agency sucked and in general people weren't super receptive to mixed idols yet.

I remember the variety show love to feature her as the foreigner who can sing in Korean, highlighting she's BRITISH. It's a bit weird, considering she's literally half Korean and can speak Korean fluently. Also Shannon expressed that she wanted to sing Ballads but her company back then insisted her to do Pop. Her debut was halted for soooooo long, until the day Daybreak Rain was released (under a sub-company). The debut was a stressful process, she had to learn a complicated choreography in a very short period of time, given by her agency. The song itself was already hard to sing. But nevertheless, she SLAYED!!! She sung LIVE in almost all of her performance. Unfortunately her talent went unnoticed due to inconsistent promotion. Her comeback kept getting cancelled resulting people to forget about her, the head company invested more on T-Ara back then making her company losing funds. They really did her dirty, she even once spilled her voice were used constantly for other artists and her english lyric writings was never credited even once. She had beef with her own agency publicly to the point where she got herself saying stupid things. Her name was tainted in the industry due to her online rant. It was too messy, so she decided that the entertainment culture in S.Korea just doesn't workout for her and left the country.
Oof good on her. This sounds like hell ngl. Considering everything, I can't fault her for snapping and making dumb decisions in the heat of the moment.
Interesting that you mentioned she was considered a foreigner as she wasn’t born in Korea. Rose from Black Pink was born in New Zealand and raised for many years in Australia. She is never referred to as a foreigner.

She was a such a stunning performer and vocalist (Her "Who's your mama" performance is so fun y'all!! I recommend it!). I watch her clips from time to time when I'm craving a good performance. But there was no more news about her in the K-Pop scene. So more than 5 years after K-Pop Star 6, I searched her up. And that's when I found out she was a streamer and provided the voice for Jett in Valorant. I don't play the game, but everyone plays it so I recognized the character. It was a pleasant surprise to see her thriving doing her own thing. But I really do miss her voice at times. She was such a joy to see on stage too. I'm just glad that her performance clips are still on YT. Even this older variety competition show kind of content. Much appreciated!! 💖

She had such a great carreer ahead and everything was ruined bc of that sh*tty company. They even took her music without permission (songs she wrote) and let her rot in their dungeon. What a waste of her youth.
The trimbre (voice tone) slightly different and IU vibrato also different. I know right away. If you cannot hear the different, it mean you don't have listening skill. Listening is a skill, you should practice with good audio sound system.
