THIS is the best Live Aid perfomance. Such a great atmosphere. Night sky, the gentle sound of piano and spectacular Macca's voice. And also such a nice interaction with the crowd and with other great artist. Breathtaking.
I love how chill Paul was about the others coming out and singing with him without him knowing there were technical difficulties, even if they clearly did not know what part of the song he was at lol.
But he DID know! He later joked by saying he had thought about changing the lyrics to "There will be some feedback, let it be." He is a true professional. He kept on going no matter what.
At 15 I thought: how many artists in solidarity with the poor, a couple of years later I realized how much publicity they had done for themselves. I was there. Paul was having mike problems (you could only hear the piano) so Alison, Pete, Bowie and Bob came out to back him. I think Pete's had one too many haha, or his tumble on stage gave him quite a knock. They've edited this well.
if John LENNON had appeared at live aid.you would have not needed any other band or singer, cos a beatles reunion at the stadium would have generated,(as bob geldof stated ) more money for africa then ALL of the rest of those at live aid put together, just the usa tv networks alone would have paid more then they raised through donations !

I commented the same thing just imagine all the band's talking and then 2 door swing open and it's Paul McCartney. Everyone goes silent in shock completely wowed by seeing him. As Paul just looks at everyone give them nods and smiles
@@gabrieltaieb6164 also I think there was technical issues
A beautiful segment from the world's most amazing rock concert. RIP David Bowie - you are seriously missed. xx
Superb performance by Paul. Certainly one of his best songs too. Classic.
Thank you so much for helping Africa,✨❤️✨❤️
Queen, David Bowie, U2, Paul McCartney, and many others... what a spectacular performance
1985. What an amazing year! What incredible times!
I immediately fell in love with musicians who hadn't performed at Live Aid. I think it was my first experience with human hypocrisy masquerading as solidarity.
If John had been alive, we would have been able to watch a Beatles reunion on that day for sure...
Seeing Alison Moyet singing with David Bowie behind the same mic is a dream come true to me!
Alison did say that if she was going to perform a duet with anyone for a single and album track, she said it would be with David Bowie because and quote "Our voices would match up".
Little did she know, that 1985 would be the only and closest time, they'd ever get to performing a 'duet'.
Alison sang the first verse beautifully, so hardly anyone could notice that Paul's microphone is not working! :-)
Alison Moyet had a lovely voice.
アップロード ありがとうございます。
Wow I hadn’t heard much of Paul from this point in time. He sounds amazing
He truly does!!
All of those performers queen, phil, bowie, madonna, elton. But when you hear paul mcartney, a piece of legendary band The beatles it really hits different. GOLD
I had always been fascinated by this man's musical talents. He gave us glory for so many years now that I don't even care to count. He will remain within us forever. FOREVER, FOREVER, FOREVEEEEEEER!!!!!!
Imagine the entire venue singing hey jude...
An estimated 1.9 billion people saw this live. Thats insane.
A partir de 1:58 a voz do Paul pode ser ouvida no estádio, após uma falha desde o início do canção, causando até vaias... Mas aí, vem a catarse! Que lindo.
I think the Beatles are the greatest band ever.
Agree!!
Queen
@@РатмирБ-з7ф nah bro
That's because they ARE.

Paul lid my idol. My favorite singer is always gonna be Paul McCartney.
Let it Be..and it is true Paul McCartney is a maestro of moving forward..love and happiness..xx
No band needed. Just give me a piano. Genius!
Just imagine.....as THE ultimate climax to the show.....Elvis & The Beatles & The Doors & Jimi & Janis
Jesus you just created an amazing picture in my head
As the song suggests, May we all JUST come together, let it be and gratefully receive the positivity of this once-in-a-lifetime event?
Please remember that Live Aid 1985 was a BENEFIT music-based initiative to GIVE AID to hundreds of thousands of people starving to death in Ethiopia.
That we are alive and able to watch and re-watch it in 2023 - isn’t that sufficient to the day without wishing the format or performances or whatever could be better ???
☮️💟 and 🎼
This is the most precious moment ever filmed.
Just watching this makes me want to travel in time and just be there...
Just imagine how many memories this performance must have brought up for Paul.
This makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy ♡
We need Live Aid now more than before
最初から声が聞こえてるのは嬉しいのだけど、当時の途中から声が出て、観客の声援が沸き起こる、ポールの機嫌も良くなるところが、更に感動的で大好きだった!
What a gift Paul McCartney is to this world. Thank you.
John Lennon was dead in 1985.
@@GlobalJoshua Read the comment, kiddo.
@@GlobalJoshua He died un 1980 no 1985 wtf
Or George Harrison
Totally unacceptable that the mic fail could have happened. I would have been checking and checking to ensure his mic and equipment was working properly for a performance of this magnitude. He was top of the bill after all, he had not been invited to make up the numbers.
Very sentimental, reminding us of our younger years. South Africa, Pretoria
"And when the night is cloud, there is still a light that shines on my. Shine until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to tthe sound of music, mother mary comes to me"
Ich kann nicht glauben dass diese musik ist unbekannt für manche Menschen
Where we be without this man?

But led zep hadn't performed TOGETHER for 5 yrs. Plant performed the night before

Well led Zeppelin songs are so harder to play and its true they haven't played for 5 years until live aid.

Essas músicas não tem prazo de validade, continua atual nos dias de hoje.
Me sinto feliz por fazer parte dessa época
the best live aid presentation, it hurts whoever hurts
I watched the original live concert and was concerned with the lack of speakers and lights for him. Then suddenly it all came right. And watching Bob Geldofs pain tells. Live aid was extraordinary.
I would give my entire existence to witness this live
Geldof doing the: "woo" like the Beatles did in the backing vocals of their songs, it was very cute ❤️😍
Give some love for Alison Moyer. A brilliant vocalist in her own right.
ライブエイドのこと知らなくボヘミアンラプソディー見て、初めて知り、いろんな人のライブ見てます‼さすが、ポールですね🎵最高😃⤴⤴
This is magnificent ! You can see : love , passion , sadness , memories in his voice all mixed up together !
I can't even imagine how surreal it must've been to hear 72,000 people sing your song
Damn it I was waiting for George and Ringo the whole time
