will always ride high. Arguably Elton's and Bernie's finest composition.
Gosh, it really DOES sound like it was written just for him. I was a teenager and remember watching this with my friend as if it were yesterday. I even remember what we had for dinner!
Yes. Im so glad to be part of this generation too!! They dont make musicians like this anymore. I just cant believe I missed it when it happened. Where was I in 1985?! The 80's were a bit of a blur for me...LOL Too busy having fun I think. I sure do appreciate them ALL now though. Especially George Michael. He is my absolute favorite and Freddie and Queen are second!! Then Bowie. We had the BEST thats for sure!! ❤️
Elton didn't write this song. Bernie Taupin did.
@@sandrajohnson2489 I could edit my comment but why bother? We all know Bernie Taupin was Elton's word man, even me. Plus, if you read my
comment all the way through you'll see that I gave both Elton and Bernie their props. Brighten up someone else's day.
@@sandrajohnson2489 Elton wrote the 🎶 music !!! He gets credit for that.
I just like how his jeans fit him.. especially the front view. This guy was really gifted in his music.
I been listening to Wham since day one! I was like 12 now I am 53! It never gets old only better. Plus you appreciate his voice more then ever now. There is no one today that can even match his vocals! GM was the greatest!
Thank God that these concerts are free. During this crazy quarantine, it’s nice to have music for my daughter to listen to and enjoy and be able to watch.
Keep watching and stay safe. Cheers from Dundee...
Agree. De-stressed listening. 🎵🎶😄🙂👌💜💚
Boop Snoot Bless your heart for doing this with your daughter. You've created a memory she'll never forget. That's what dads are for!! My hat's off to ya!
Your a good dad.
Thank God for u tube.
Best wishes from ohio.
loo
We are all robbed of incredible talent, this is beautiful.
I still think George Michael is underrated
I totally agree
How do you call underrated? This guy's name was George Michael. He was one of the top rated singers of his Era dude. Underrated my ass.
Of course you do sir.because your an uneducated idiot.
Do yourself a favor.
Shut up.
Damn George Michael had a set of pipes...
WOW! Very powerful! Whom else is watching this today July 13 2020? 35years ago was like yesterday.
ME . . . . 🇬🇧👏💕
July 21 2020........I've this saved to favs; actual amazing MUSIC and amazing TALENT in the day!
Idiot
@@edwardbalboa5528 idiot? Why?
George Michael had one of the best voices..his live performances were brilliant
This is solid gold. He nailed it! RIP George Michael thank you for the music
Какой красивый, мощный голос у любимого красавчика Джорджа. 👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹
I miss George Michael so much 😢
🥰😭😭😭
He sure does look good in those jeans 😍
I think George Micheals has one of the nicest voices I ever heard from a male singer
April Staggs I always say he is the best friend a pair of Jeans ever had
I think he could wear Mom jeans and look hot!
The one artist that done covers better than the original . The best
Giovanni Goduti
I second that
100% True
Everyone thinks of the amazing time George sings this and introduces Elton onto the stage, this is just as amazing, George was only 22 here, on stage with an absolute legend!
George Michael was so beautiful here, just effortless style and so handsome!
Absolutely amazing vocals from George. Not a missed note.
He missed 1-2 at the beginning:-) just warning up!
@@kpsig What did he miss ! He was perfect in every way !!!!!!!!
@@louisescutti1998 he was flat on a couple notes
Not really his best and he would be the first to admit it ...... if he could. He was young .....
@@Shwarmageddon I went back and listened to it again and I still don’t hear 1 flat note , just different from the one he did with Elton in 1992 , but still great!
George Michael is a legend.
Humble, kind, donated alot of his money to the poor or helpless.
R.I.P RockSTAR!
George is a legend, he doesn't need Elton John to make him one
George Michael had the most gorgeous voice ever.
The fact he was only 21 about to be 22 when this was preformed is crazy to me! He was just so talented! Hell Careless Whisper he was like 19-20 writing it at 17 that shows just how talented he truly was!
He was so talented. He said he wrote his first song when he was only six. What an old soul he was! Truly one of the greats.
When your Boy can sing,..... Elton Johns smile....Priceless
As Christmas approaches I’m brought here, also finished Andrews book, what a time it was RIP George you were the coolest
Didn't he pass away on Christmas day?
Me too. Every Christmas since 2016 I make it a point to listen to his music and revisit his videos. On Christmas day in 2021, one of his sisters passed away. So sad for his family -- should be happiest time of year but not for them.
What a Beautiful Voice, we lost an artist when he left RIP
One of the finest, most talented men ever! I love you George. RIP baby. I miss you so very much. ❤💜💖💞💓💓❤💜💖💞💜💜💖💖💞💜💖💖💖💖💖💜💜💜💜💜
Real talent, real music. I miss George M.
Unfortunately, there’s only few of them left.
Never was a big Wham or George Michael fan, I’m a little too old.
After seeing the documentary WHAM, I discovered this song & many others! Big fan
Live Aid was a spectacular event. I can't believe I took those events for granted.
Missing George Michael! He passed away way too young!
Gone too soon ...
OMG! I didn't even know he died! 😢😢😢
far too young is so sad
Kasa Ri he’s an angel of music
bjwhite7210 he died Christmas of 2016 😔😔😔
Thank god for George Michael, he was a man that sung with passion.
The final noteeeeeeee ❤❤❤❤ such a legend !!! And he was only 22 here !!
Love how he went on stage together with Andrew and then gave this iconic performance 😭
I attended Glastonburyin 2023 and elton paid this man the highest compliment georgw michael the most generous human bein that ever lived he gave gave gave very rarly took sadly missed by his fans and myself but we have masterclasses like this love you george 37 years later still listening 24/12/2023 ❤❤❤😢😢
Amen to all!❤😂
It's August 2022 I'm 50 & STILL in love with this song! Miss you so much George 😢😘😍♥️ you did Elton proud!!
It’s October 2022 and I’m crying, the best of times 😊
2023!
Same, devastated when George died!
July 2023, 57, and still loving and missing George.
This changed my view of George forever. Stunning vocals. Still brings tears and shivers now in 2023!
I was lucky enough to be on the front row by Freddys piano …I’m there before it started with a multicoloured umbrella with Wham written on it …..we only put it up during the concert when `George and Andrew came on with Elton John …George sang the first bit the came over and sang in front of me ….what an experience of course Freddy stole the show,Paul young was excellent,Phil Collins ,sting and wow Sade with her sexy sultry voice and stunning black backless top! 🥰
He’s brilliant, and the beautiful thing is, his voice only got better with age
Jamie W I totally agree. I remember watching this performance going OMG. Then Along Comes 1991's rendition and you could hear how he learned to use his voice to perfection as he was an absolute master at his craft. George said he was not happy with this performance. He said he felt he could do better and my goodness in 1991 he proved that you could go from Excellence to Sublime...the man knew he had more to give with that already amazing voice. What an unparalleled artist!!
@@PFCD you’re right, the 91 performance, the one that was released as a single, was much better from George. He took it to a new level. His performance of somebody to love is one of his best too, he stole the show that day with Queen
Pity all these replies posted after hes gone!!!!
Just watched the other version of this from when they’re older. You can see how confident Michael gets with his voice / this song and it’s truly inspirational ❤️
Yeah, George's later vocals on this, he really belted his heart out. In this version he is not as confident and is holding back but is still fantastic!
What it must have been like to be in that audience when George introduces Elton. I watch it just for that crowd reaction!
The voice. The soul. The heart. The passion. The genius. The talent. The fabulous. George Michael❤
Как жаль что я не могу выразить свои чувства на английском.Он лучший.Люблю его.

39 years ago Elton introduced us to a legend! I wondered if he ever dreamed he’d outlive beautiful George.
George Michael was not only a great singer, but a great performer too. Standing alone, singing infront of thousands of people, requires gigantic balls.
R.I.P..........You were awesome mate ❤
My Dear George Michael ❤
❤❤❤❤
He absolutely bedazzled Somebody to Love at the Freddie Mercury concert
Thank God we have these recordings!!!
After 35 years I can’t stop crying
Can’t stop my tears...
George singing this one and Somebody to love is in my opinion is simply perfect
Perfect
This masterful performance never gets old. Magnificent!!!
Yes elthon e George one is one Fort it is confort
Oh my gosh I can't believe how Elton john could still silent all the time..he was very exciting but I think he was showing respect to the great George Micheal
athraa hatif he was singing along with him you just couldn’t hear. But if you watch him closely he’s singing every word while playing
@@pennstatekate08 sorry but I don't think he is singing
No apology needed. Everyone has a right to their opinion. 🤷♀️
His piano wasn't silent, that's his music. Clearly this arrangement was for George Michael to sing it and not Elton.
I was thinking this, as Elton did not sing a part of the song, because he was marveling at George singing.
I’m a 33 year old scally and this makes me cry 😢
El mundo no volverá a tener un artista de la talla de George Michael, era increíblemente atractivo, su voz te transportaba a la emoción más sublime y ni hablar de su puesta en escena, era increíble su carisma y humildad.
He’s voice was amazing, and no one rocks sunglasses like him. Miss him
I KNEW there was a version where these two performed and Elton played piano live. Omg I’m beyond impressed with this performance!!!
AMAZING PERFORMANCE!
Just love it!❤❤
George Micheal was a very talented singer. I just wish we had singers of his caliber today!!
