  • Hi Everyone! So i am not sure what happened but Performance No. 10 got little to no views. It could be many things. Maybe people didn't like this one. maybe the almighty algorithm didn't like my thumbnail and decided to not push it out to people who have enjoyed my previous videos. Either way, I really enjoyed this one and wanted to give it another shot! My hunch is for what ever reason the thumbnail was not liked by the platform. Anyways, I copied over the write up from the original post below. Performance 11 will come next week! I hope you enjoy Performance No. 10!
Also, I do have something very special I will be sharing in a couple months. I had a wonderful improvised session with some excellent musicians that I was able to capture on camera and record. I am working on mixing down the audio and getting the video ready to share here! I think it will be a wonderful addition to what I already do on this channel and it will allow you all to see a slightly different side of me. I can't wait to share these vids! Stay tuned!

    ORIGINAL WRITEUP:
Hi Everyone! We made it to Performance No. 10! Not going to lie, staying consistence with this is proven a little difficult at times. Sometimes the inspirational ideas aren't flowing through, or your just plain tired. However, I seem to always pluck something out of the universal creativity pool and this one in particular felt really nice once I got it. That doesn't go without saying that this performance gave me a bit of a hard time. I was rushing it a bit and my gear wasn't cooperating. A couple of examples are my piano died during a take, my guitar's bridge pickup was being intermittent during another take, and I didn't realize I was running out of memory on my camera causing my camera to shut off halfway through yet another take. However, I took a breathe, reviewed everything in my arsenal and got everything all fixed up. In the end, I really liked how this one turned out. I think the struggles of getting this video made caused me to slow down a bit. The last few performances have left me feeling like I was over playing. Having to slow down to fix all my issues seemed to slow me down in my playing. Which I really liked. After all, these are meant to be enjoyed during your tea or coffee time!
On another note, this new year has brought a lot of change in my life. Things are moving and shifting, and sometimes that can be stressful and nerve racking. Recently I was thinking about all this change and it led me to the well known concept that "nothing stays the same" or "change is constant". While change leaves me feeling nervous about the unknown, I have also come to realize that all the wonderful memories I have made would not be so wonderful had change not showed up and shifted your life's course. Change allows you to take a moment, reflect on what you had and be grateful for that time you had doing that thing you where doing. That reflection pulls us out of our daily grind, forces us to take a step back and see all that we have done and dream of all that we might do.
Anyways, This is where my head has been at lately. I am grateful for everything I've experienced in life up until now and I am excited for all the new adventures to come. And with this, I hope that you enjoy Performance No. 10. If you can, throw it on with your morning tea or coffee, take a seat in your favorite chair and enjoy some peaceful reflection time before you start your day. I hope you have a great week ahead!

Lovely! Thanks for persevering to get a good take. It was well worth it.
Also, sorry I didn't find the time to watch it when you first uploaded it last week. I'll always go back to watch a performance if I miss one.
