Hi Everyone! I can't believe its already February. Time is flying by. I hope you've had a great week so far. Work has been nothing but crazy and these videos have been a really nice project to take my mind off the daily grind that is being a technical program manager.
This weeks performance was a doozy to get through. I really loved the picking pattern that I came up with for this loop. Gave me Radiohead vibes. Anyways, getting that rhythm right and looping it was challenging. Especially given that I wrote it right before filming so I hadn't really gotten comfortable with it. I love how it sounded and had to use it. So this one has some dings and dents along the way but since I really enjoyed this progression, I decided to keep it. After all, diggin' it is the the whole point right!
Another interesting thing about this weeks performance is that I am running both my guitar and keys through the little battery powered Templo amp you see propped up on the left side. My normal amp (a Supro Tremoverb for you gear heads out there) ended up dying on me right before I had a gig last Saturday. Its currently being repaired and I can't wait to get it back because I love that amp but boy do I love this little templo amp. Its amazing and battery powered! I highly recommend it if you're looking for a battery powered amp. Also, when I dropped my amp off at the shop, I decided to drop my tele off too. It needed a lot of love as its been 3 years since I've had any proper work done on it. Mainly the frets needed some serious love. So that is why you get to see the Eastman for a second week in a row.
