I can't believe this video has just over 80K views. While, other channels who just copy other's recipes and give us repeated recipes which don't even work like Yummy, Tasty, etc. have millions of views. She is the most genuine baking teacher in this world. All her recipes work, no matter how many mistakes you make.
If I may suggest a few tips i've learned over the years of making these. 1 - For the filling, cream the brown sugar/cinnamon / flour with softened butter instead of cutting it in, it easier to spread the mix on the dough and the filling won't fall out of the ends and it's easier to get an even layer of filling. 2 - Roll out the dough 12x18, by rolling out the dough longer, the layers of dough will be thinner , so it's necessary to increase the amount of filling made by 25 -50% ( less doughy ) 3 - Use dental floss to cut the rolls from the log. 4 - Cream cheese glaze - nothing better And for all the viewers that really want to take cooking seriously please invest in a kitchen scale and an instant read thermometer, nothing fancy. jus my 2c Hope these tips are helpful.
I made these yesterday - baked 6 and kept 6 in the refrigerator for breakfast today. I subbed 30 grams of almond flour in the filling instead of all purpose flour and added 50 gms of cream cheese plus one tbsp of curd to the glaze. They tasted perfect and filled the house with the aroma of cinnamon and fresh bread as they baked. Thanks Stephanie for a wonderful recipe !
Hello Stephanie. You are such an amazing cook, you explain every step so well it's both helpful and entertaining. I follow you from a very long time, I'm italian, still I understand everithing also thanks for the measurment sistem you give us both cups grams etc. I will never thank you enough! Hope you have an amazing life, also you never get old.. lots of love from an Italian follower :) have a great day and thank you for every recipe you share with us!
Made these cinnamon buns today and they are SO good. The bread is fantastic! I could eat it on its own without the cinnamon and sugar! I've been using your recipes for years and they never fail ☺
I just watched your first cinnamon bun video from 2012, and I was gonna say, she’s from Minnesota or Wisconsin or somewhere around there, no wait I think she’s Canadian, no but I hear Minnesota…. I was detecting something…. now I know! Thanks for clarifying that for me with your “buns-to-rolls” story. I love languages and listening to people’s accents. I love your buns (no _puns_ intended haha!). They’re gorgeous. And I was also gonna say, these totally remind me of brioche! These are *proper* *cinnamon* *rolls* . Cant wait to try this! Thank you!
I love all your recipes! I’ve tried a couple of them and they always turn out awesome. I am no master baker but your vids are so easy to follow that it made it easy for me. Thank you!
These are amazing! So soft and fluffy and there is so much filling! I made cream cheese frosting just because I have a ton of cream cheese to use up, but OMG they are so good. I made 12 rolls and they turned out huge. Such a great recipe! Love it!
just made these AMAZING buns. Thank you Stephanie! Another addition to my growing repertoire of sweet treats thanks to you. Every one of your recipes I have tried have turned out beautifully thanks to your clear instructions and recipes. I am 70 years old and never really enjoyed baking therefore was never very good at it but you have taught me to enjoy the process, be organized and methodical and to be patient. Above all I have COMPLETE TRUST in all your recipes. I have tried many other blogs and have cookbooks galore but many times the results are very disappointing - after all that effort as well as expense - it was very discouraging. But now, especially during this stressful pandemic, taking one of your recipes and looking forward to trying it has brought me a lot of pleasure and relaxation. So appreciative and thankful to you. Best regards
I turn to your videos whenever I bake sweets, lol I actually have to follow your instructions step by step pausing in between, by the end my ROKU remote is "floury." One of your best recipe is your peach pie, OMG, using tapioca is brilliant, thank you!
Thank you Stephanie! You are a fabulous baker, and (mathematician)! You are a very lovely woman, and a sweetheart! Your family and friends are blessed!
I made 2 batches today using the overnight method. I let them come to room temperature over about an hour or so, and then baked them as you directed. Decided to add cream cheese to one batch of glaze and to the other glaze I left out cream cheese but added orange zest and a little orange juice. These are so delicious! Thank you for the recipe!
You have demonstrated making these buns SO easy. I have always wanted to try these but got scared of using yeast. BUT watching you make these you have given me the courage to try. It’s silly I know but it’s always given me a anxious feeling. I am making these for sure. Thank you For showing me not to worry. Delicious 😋
Just stumbled upon your channel. Not sure why i've failed to find you for so long. I have been working on perfecting my cinnamon rolls, and I dare say, this has been one of the absolute best tutorials i've seen. I feel like i'm spending time with a friend but learning so much at the same time. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. I have printed off several of your recipes today and am excited to try some new things! Truly enjoy you! Subscribed!
Cold winter day, good book: not certain I want to bake. Then Stephanie says "the kitchen smells like yeast. . .and cinnamon. . ." Sigh. OK. I surrender. Now I MUST bake.
Indian here. I'd read a lot about cinnamon rolls heard them mentioned in American shows. tried it for the first time...came out excellent and now i know what all the fuss is about!
Beautiful cinnamon rolls,Stephanie! The way I love: bread-like, nothing too sticky or soaked in glaze. I’ll make them for sure. Thanks a lot for sharing with us such a nice recipe. 😋👏🤩
This is such a great video and recipe! I really appreciate that you take the time to explain things in detail - I actually made these and they turned out amazingly. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and thank you again for your hard work into making these videos!
We Love Cinnamon Rolls, and make them six to eight times a year .... They seem to have a different glaze every time I make them (so many types of glazes) Thanks so much for sharing this recipe...
Made them yesterday, they turned out great!!! Best recipe for cinnamon rolls i've ever tried, added some rum soaked raisins and apples - perfect addition in my opinion. Definetly give the a go everbody...they're worth the time and effort! Thanks for the detailed and easy to follow instructions :-)
I love how thorough your recipes are, it’s great!! Thank you so much. So far I’ve made your vanilla cake which I now swear by, so looking forward to giving these a try next 😊😊
Good Morning. I just love cinnamon buns, and I will try to make these. I just made some sticky buns last weekend, and the family liked them. I love watching your videos, mostly watch you when I ‘m cooking in my kitchen.❤️😃
Cinnamon roll, cinnamon buns who cares as long as they come out delicious the way you prepared them. I'll take mine the way you described in the broiler with a little butter thank you Stephanie you're awesome!
I made cinnamon rolls and the taste was amazing.your measurements and instructions are very precise it’s like working in a lab this suits me very well l go by weight so I can’t go wrong
This recipe is so good! I always follow your recipes and they all work for me. I even tried the eclairs and I was pretty sure that I couldn't make them because I wasn't an expert at cooking but then it turned out to be awesome! Thanks for the recipes and I hope you continue making more and more awesome recipes!!!😃
hi stephanie! your recipes are the best! i especially love your cookie recipes, i tried selling some at school, amd everybody loved it! i’m trying this cinammon recipe for mother’s day as its my mom’s favorite :> thank you so much!
I love cinnamon rolls. Can't wait to try baking using your recipe. Could you show us how to make olive bread please? Looking forward for your video. Thank you.
They're fluffy, moist and tender. They look exactly like the ones in the video. This is certainly a great recipe. This is actually the first time I've had cinnamon rolls. No doubt there is no fault with the recipe but I'm Indian and this is just a regular bun to me which we get for 10 rupees or 0.14 US dollars. The only difference is that we have tutti fruti instead of cinnamon in the buns. Not worth spending 4-5 hours on this and washing dishes for another hour. Maybe Americans and other Westerners have some nostalgic feelings attached to this dish that's why they like it so much.
How did you know I wanted to make cinnamon rolls?! My hubby is @ the store right now getting the ingredients I need. I’m very picky when it comes to cinnamon rolls. Some recipes are too dry for my taste. So I’m always searching for different recipes to try that sound like they’ll yield a soft, “moist” dough. This one intrigued me cuz of the powdered milk! I’ve never thought of using that! I can see how it’d help keep the dough moist, help w/texture & even add some addt’l flavor. My tip for rising: I run my built in microwave for about 1 min (sometimes less) to warm it up, then put my wrapped dough bowl inside quickly, close the door. Residual warmth left after opening the door stays long enough to give a good rise when my kitchen’s ambient temp just isn’t warm enough. Thanks for giving me a new cinnamon roll recipe to try this wknd!
Hey Steph! Hope you read this and is okay with me calling you Steph! Anyways, I love your recipes! I tried your chocolate pudding which came out ASTOUNDINGLY AMAZING! I am baking my cinnamon rolls right now, yes at this crazy hour! I tried a lot more of your recipes and they all come out great, like so GREAT!! I love your recipe for cinnamon rolls! I usually microwave them on the third day for around 30 sec. Then they taste freshly made:-)
Love your recipe, it looks beautiful and mouthwatering, can I use bread flour for this recipe, need your suggestions please thank you
You could but bread flour will change the texture of the rolls.
@@joyofbaking thank You for your help , I wasn’t sure about it, but appreciate it very much 😘
They look so yummy, I like mine with raisins.😋😋😋😋😋😋
i was just thinking to make cinnamon rolls as it is freeze here during these days lately in Taiwan.Since i quite cow milk already, i might use vegetable oil and soya milk instead of butter and cow milk. Also, in Taiwan, we prefer to use bread flour to make bread and always love to knead the dough to the windowpan stage! Thanks!
Here in PA we have always called them cinnamon buns. And I always made them for Christmas when my boys were growing up, too!. 8-)
These look so good! So soft and pillowy. At 22:59 you mentioned that these are more bready rather than gooey like cinnabons; I wonder if you could combine the soft fluffiness of this recipe and make it gooey and almost caramelised like cinnabons? I tried a copycat Cinnabon recipe and it had a wonderful filling but the dough was very sticky when kneading and quite dense when baked, so I'd like to know any suggestions for this :)
You know, we don't really have cinnamon rolls here in Hungary, but I've always wanted to try them. Here's the opportunity! Thanks for the great video recipe!
Miss baking cinnamon rolls, wonderful aroma!

Looks so good
Wow my fave! Ive actually did one video last monday about it. Your looks so yummy 🤤
You need to have a tv show.
Hey Stephanie, thank you for sharing this recipe! I'm going to make those for sure!
We have something that looks a little similar at first glance, from the south-western part of the Netherlands: "Zeeuwse Bolus" (translates to Zeeland Bolus...? ah whatever) But those are formed by making some sort of cords of the dough, roll those cords through the sugar/cinnamon mixture, and roll those sugared strands into a bun/roll. It's said those are hard to make, since they should be very sticky and soft indeed, and an oven is drying them out so you need to add a sort of water-bath ;) Some say that 'our' cinnamon buns are inspired by some old recipe from Spain or Portugal...
Just some of my random facts throwing around here ;)
Blessings,
Diana, from The Netherlands/Holland
They sound delicious. I like the idea of the strands of bread being completely covered in the cinnamon sugar.
I found 'the perfect' recipe... at least, that is what native Zeelanders tell on the site. It's all in Dutch though... I'll see if I can translate it for you, okay?
