Well, outside of those battles, most battles are generally pretty boring, lackluster, and lacking any really great strategy. Though, I've seen so many of these that the most interesting parts of the video are about what I don't know, which is generally everything that happens prior to the battle.

The battles of Tarain aren't obscure. They are pivotal moments in Indian History that led to the creation of the Delhi Sultanate which ruled much of North India for almost 3 centuries.

    Hello guys!
The first battle of Tarain video, represents the peak of my creative and animating experience during the past year. I went from zero knowledge on anything concerning animation and editing a year ago, to the “Battle of Tarain
It is the second video that I make which is based on a largely 3d concept. As usual, the amount of work and experimentation required for this video was so great that I hope it was worth it. Honestly, trying to come up with ideas for new concepts is almost as time consuming as acquiring the technical knowledge in order to achieve this result.
In my personal opinion, this is my best video to date, or at least the most technically demanding. It required a bunch of programs and combination between them in order to have this result.
Of course, this is a largely experimental project and given the amount of time it takes to make, it wont be easy to keep this up for every single project. It will also depend on how popular the video will become so as to repeat this style in the future.
I honestly hope and wish that the final result will resonate with History Marche’s audience.

Ahhh yes! The Rajput charge. Known to have been stopped neither by gun nor cannon.
If well led, the sheer wight of their pride would force the Rajput cavalry to charge in the face of death.
At the Battle of Lalsot, the Battle of Haldighati, the Battle of Nagaur, the Battle of Gangwana and many others, the Rajput cavalry would charge in a headlong assault, driven by its will to preserve racial and caste honour, even if the enemy was armed with guns or cannons.
Such fearlessness served them well in the face of an obliging enemy, but not in the face of the Purbiyas led by Benoit de Boigne at Lalsot.

The Turkish peoples who led the Islamic invasions of India were originally Buddhist till recently. The Indian emperors managed to hold off Islamic invasions by the Arabs for 300 years, far longer than the Persian and Roman empires, but after 50 years of attacks by the Turkish islamic conquerers, the line finally broke. Indian emperors should have anticipated this, and sent armies to aid the Central Asians while the Caliphate conquered them, like China did. Then the Turks wouldn't be enemies, but would be allies/ a strong buffer, and India would enjoy more centuries of peace. The isolationism of the mediaeval kingdoms, and their decision to only hold a defensive position at the Indus river brought about their downfall

In reality, Maharaja Prithviraj Chauhan's tactics was more strategic than the blind charge portrayed here. Prithviraj knew the Turkic horse archers were deadly at range and high mobile in battle. Although the Prithviraj Chauhan had more men, the majority of them were infantry whereas Ghori's army were almost exclusively mounted. Knowing all this, Prithviraj Chauhan ordered his cavalry (which was around 15000) that was placed on the right and left wings, to charge at the entire Gourid line so that the the horse archers are held before they get within their firing range. The Indian cavalry held the entire Turkic army, fighting on horseback with swords and axes, until the Indian infantry, that had also been ordered charge, eventually cought up. When that happened the Turks were forced to dismount and fight the battle. If the Turks were known for their cavalry prowess, the Rajputs were known for their close quarter melee skills. Now the Gourids had to fight the Rajputs in a style that favoured the Rajputs which did not go well for them. That was how Prithviraj Chauhan was able to beat Muhammad Ghori.

Fascinating video, good job! The content is great, and it's nice to see not only an unusual subject but also an unusual result.
It's interesting to see you try out 3D animation for this one. I have a little feedback. The map colours overall blend together a little too much, making the overall visuals a bit... soupy. Bright clear colour distinctions might help with the overall presentation.
Similarly, 3D representations of units definitely give it a nice tabletop feel, but the closeups of faces don't really hold up. It might be worth it to stick to a more hand-drawn look, but of course I'm sure you'll improve. Since it takes a lot of time and effort to create, I hope it pays off for you! I appreciate the effort and quality!

Are you covering this battle to inform us about the second battle of Tarain? If so you might be the first youtuber that has covered an Iranic victory on TH-cam that was not a revolt.
Either way great job like always!
