So many legends in this video!!! Jimmy, David, Kyle, and Greg! You guys all rock!!! It's cool to see so many things in this video that I've watched Jimmy build on his channel as well!
You guys are the best as I said I would love to work with you guys (70 Years old now) so now I would just pull up a lawn chair and be AMAZED. God bless you guys I was with you 7 years ago when you built it.
@rrbuildings my family and I have only been watching for a little over a year or so but I was in disbelief when I seen you were 10 minutes from my house. Love your work and videos!
Kyle and Greg (and Jimmy). You guys dont know how much impact you have out here. When I watched you start building on TH-cam, i was just hitting my stride as a maker and furniture designer. You guys played a big part in me turning the ship and eventually becoming a new construction GC. Next year I break ground on my first development 💪🏽. Thank you for inspiring us to go all-in and chase dreams. Hope our paths cross someday! Cedrick Nisus Construction
You are both great, @jimmydiresta and @RRBuilings: through your joint project I regularly see your followup projects and have started crafting again myself, even if it is a completely different area. Thank you for your inspiration!
That´s were you started??? I remember I discovered you through the DiResta videos and was convinced, you made videos long before that :D I have not a single connection to "house building" except maybe my love for technology, but I watch basically every video you put out!
Yes, very beautiful workshops, but I am now missing some of what you have in your workshop, insulation ROCKWOOL beautiful work if the workshop had been insulated with ROCKWOOL, the sound would have been another Rockwool silencer
I'd be interested to see a follow up on a smartside structure you built that has some age on it. I'm still not 100% sold on it for me personally but I'm not adamantly against it either. I feel like its a respectable product that will work well if installed correctly but it may be more prone to problems due to poor installation. I honestly dont have any info to back that opinion its just an opinion i formed after seeing some of the little nuances it takes to install it correctly and thinking about home often those little things are skipped by low buck all about speed installers.
While I know you didn't have control of this project, did the stairstep siding install bother you a little bit? Just something that you seem to dislike in previous videos. But, I know, go with the flow.
LP sucks! We have a great product but im sorry we don't sale it within 250 miles of your area. My local lumber yard has said they double the price and cut the lumber yards service in half.
I still recall the class action suit and settlement with their mass failure where siding grows mushroom. Hardie siding is my choice. They are fire resistant which is a must for rural properties in/near the forest.
They won’t even warranty that crap in the Pacific Northwest where I live and it rains..😂 none of the actual lumber yards will even bring it into their yard because of it’s fail rate.. Just goes to show Kyle can indeed be bought and controlled by industry interests..
@RRBuildings I think you just proved my point they can't stock it. On LP web site they don't have a dealer within 250 per LP that stocks the pre finished style. I have LP smart side on my house it has not held up near as well as I had expected 2017 install. My rental that gets more sun and has renters has Hardie and has the exact same paint but it has held on to the color way better! Ps my wife tells me I'm crazy daily.
Video was cool, but I gotta say that the audio track with the fade-in / fade-out was obnoxious to me. I'm not even sure why, but the worst part of the video was the music track used (maybe just the one in the latter third and into the outro).
Awesome to be part of this amazing community. You both Jimmy and Kyle inspired me to keep going 👍🏼🙌🏼

yep. that's when I started watching your channel. loyal viewer ever since
You guys are the best as I said I would love to work with you guys (70 Years old now) so now I would just pull up a lawn chair and be AMAZED. God bless you guys I was with you 7 years ago when you built it.
I remember watching this, it was the first build of yours that I'd seen and fot me hooked ever since
Wow awesome
A master builder and a master maker. Love watching Jimmy's channel and kyle's channel.

I met Jimmy, and his brother John in 2019 - found RR by following Jimmy and your build in 2017.

Awesome stuff Kyle, like many others, I found your channel with Jimmy's shop, time flies! 😃👍🏼👊🏼
David is awesome! I really enjoy his content!!
I don't like the implications of age that comes with knowing I started watching your channel 7 freaking years ago. 😂
You are both great, @jimmydiresta and @RRBuilings: through your joint project I regularly see your followup projects and have started crafting again myself, even if it is a completely different area. Thank you for your inspiration!
Hey we watched you throughout our whole house build! Love your stuff, huge help!
Awesome! Thank you!
Спасибо, парни! Я начал смотреть вас благодаря Джимми. Вы крутые.
Been watching this guy !!!! Good to hear him in english tho ... custom badger setups and give aways hes a real one 👌
Me: This Old House, then Jimmy, then you righteous cats! Hoo-Rah!!!
Dream building right there
Seems like I was watching you for a couple of years before you showed up in NY.
I was thinking the same thing .
Still can not believe that its been 7 years... thanks for the fun and knowledge, and here is to next 7 and at least 7 more after that 🍻
You bet!
Contractor and customer still on friendly terms. Cool!
I love the color of that siding. I want a little house with that.
Wish I knew you were in town! I'm starting a 36x48 w/ 2 10' open lean-to, could've stopped by and given a few pointers!
Man Im so jelly of Jimmy’s buildings. Works of Art, that coincidentally art gets made.
That´s were you started??? I remember I discovered you through the DiResta videos and was convinced, you made videos long before that :D I have not a single connection to "house building" except maybe my love for technology, but I watch basically every video you put out!
He uploaded videos long before the DiResta build.
Good to go back to remember where you started.
OUTSTANDING : o ......
only legends on this video!
this is like 10 miles from me. I remember those videos
I followed you off Jimmy's recommendation
Geez Kyle that hat is looking clean
Enjoy both of you guys, but damn a foreign Dodge truck.
Wow. 7 years since I watched my first RR video.
I first saw Jimmy on This Old House! When will we see Kyle on This Old House?🤔😊
He isn’t old enough yet. Need to have AARP reaching out to you first.🍺🍕🥃
Haha
I forgot that with Jimmy is how I started following rr buildings
Muito bom!! BRASIL
I started watching you, Kyle, ay the Diresta build. HOW can it be that long ago?
Crazy
Yes, very beautiful workshops, but I am now missing some of what you have in your workshop, insulation ROCKWOOL
beautiful work
if the workshop had been insulated with ROCKWOOL, the sound would have been another Rockwool silencer
that scaffold, damn...
😁👍🏼
"five" beers. Riiiiiiiiight
SHALOM 😍🥰
Off Topic for this video...
May I ask you which awl do you use for punching your screw holes into the metal wall sheets..
thank you

Nice.
Is the interior siding Cypress?
Is there any reason to put flashing in behind the joint of each board?
Nope
Love the dork helmets. Yeah. LMAO
👍🏼
Hey, which work belt do you use?
Greg his last video was posted 2 years ago. He needs updated videos. I subscribe anyway just cuz you recommended.
👍💪💪💪🤟🤟😎
Nice moose rack Jimmy!
While I know you didn't have control of this project, did the stairstep siding install bother you a little bit? Just something that you seem to dislike in previous videos. But, I know, go with the flow.
How did Jimmy find you if you weren't doing TH-cam videos?
Instagram if I remember correctly
😮
I'm from upstate NY, where about is this located??
what Netflex show?
Making Fun
It would be interesting to know how many subscribers you had before building the Dream Shop, to compare to the 1.75M subscribers you have today.
Like none
“awesome” 😂
Did LP require you guys to all wear hard hats or someone else?
Yes
do you have to caulk the butt joints on that siding?
Nope
That vice is not big enough! @7:00

You are crazy!! it is huge out there! I know the rep in Seattle and they can barely keep it In Stock!! They most definitely warrant it.
