  • I speak with Karl Morris who has worked with 6 Major champions. Karl is a mind coach and looks at how your mental approach can affect the way you perform. Golf is a tough sport so any help we can get will be well received.
    If you want to purchase Karl's book please find link to Amazon

    We look at putting and techniques to help out on the greens.

    I attended one of Karl's seminars earlier this year, I would recommend if anyone gets the chance to attend and go out and buy the book. He really gives you something to take straight to the course and help lose a few shots.

    Thank you Andy and Karl for this brilliant video. Can‘t wait to go to the putting green and practice with those informations. I‘ll sure get the book, read it and store the information somewhere in my brain, from where it will flow into my putter automatically, whithout having to think of all these steps while putting. Thank you so much again!

    Really enjoyed this Andy, Karl spoke a lot of sense. I’ll certainly be trying to put some of his advice to good use on the green in the very near future. Cheers gents 👏👏👏.

    Very interesting video, thanks for sharing. Played recently with a very good amateur in a scramble format. This guy is an excellent putter. When we went to choose which putt on the green to use, he always wanted the slight downhill putt as opposed to an uphill putt or flat putt. Reason for this he said is because you are guaranteed to get the putt to the hole and then you only had to really get the line correct. So he was removing one variable from the equation. smart guy. It looks like pace is king and this never really dawned on me before. Time to practice...!

    I do remember asking you if we could see you do a vid like this.... well thank you Andy , this is exactly what I hoping to seeing. Looking forward to watching you putt this into your game and if or how it works for you. Hope we see some more of this sort of thing in the future. Can’t see too much of this on here for mine. Again great job!

      Bought the Kindle edition because I couldn't wait. Read about half of it before playing yesterday. Definitely changed the way I approach putting. Not a significant change to the results but a lot more fun! Have now finished the book and, for someone with a vivid imagination, am really struggling with visualisation. So things to work on.

      Pleasure Andy. I spent ages on the Putting Green this morning just concentrating on my pace on short, mid and long putts. Wow I didn't realise how poor my distance control is on mid & long distance putts! I think this is going to take some work.

  • @dciccoritti
    @dciccoritti 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Excellent. Really enjoyed that 👍 Funny thing, this is exactly what I started working on about a month ago. More focus on pace to prevent 3 putts. 3 putting is a real downer especially on a well played hole.

    So true my putting has transformed since i stopped lining up etc but more got down low behind the ball like jack nic it’s crazy the blade lines up itself as you look down the line then just pulling the trigger

    Great video Andy and Karl that's the way I have always putted by feel and visualisation not a technical thought in my head. Nice to hear it from the horses mouth.

  • @bobb3rdown676

    Good to know I'm actually doing something right. That's how I always practice my putting. I use 2 balls. Toss em down and try and get up to the hole without any thought at all. My pace has gotten tons better this season.

    Karl, love your book however I have a problem. In chapter 2 exercise 4 when you talk about the after image of the hole, do you mean thinking only on the hole, only on the ball, or have attention on both?. I have been trying to do that with both (hole and ball after image) but seem to not get it working :/

    Great vid, although a short putt is still never, ever, going in but I have always said pace is the most important part of successful putting!

  • @barking_mad6649
    @barking_mad6649 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very good :) If you have 10 foot of decent carpet in your house just practice pace. Aim for the skirting board and hit as many putts as you can with the only aim of rolling it up to but not hitting it. If you can judge 10ft ones, you instinctively get better at 15, 20 and 25 foot ones as you know what 'twice as hard' would feel like. There's not much excuse for being a poor putter and not getting any better.

    Pretty sure the book will be a lot more useful, & cheaper, than a "Custom Shop Putter" that some other Vlogger keeps trying to sell us. Going to buy it methinks.... ( Obviously I don't mean the bloody putter).
