My experience with shih tzus is that they do not shed and they do live for a great length of time. They are great fun loving animals.
I have had 3 Shih Tzu and the do NOT shed! Don’t know where that info came from but it’s not true. They are the most awesome dogs I’ve ever had

This is not true. I find a shin tzu one of the best dogs I’ve ever had. They do not shed.

i've had 2 shih-tzu's and they never shed....
It is like the woman made up half the things she warns about. We had a Shih Tzu who lived to be 16, was a total sweetheart, got along with our three cats, did not shed, was free of health problems even though she was a purebred, and did not bark much at all. We miss her dearly. She was also good on car trips, and flying in a soft carrier sitting at our feet.❤
