Not even one minute in and Jenny already lost me. As a designer myself, I would never call a place "uninspiring" FIRST THING!! Every place has a potential and as a designer, it is our job to identify those and excite our clients about it. The unimpressed voice she had while calling the space "not inspiring and typical" made me ick. Every house we see is a typical 4-walled houses. You don't call them uninspiring!! You appreciate the architecture, the space, the scale-anything (just like how Darren and Chiara did here) but you certainly don't look down on them.
It quite literally was uninspiring it doesn't give off any certain vibes and its boring. Uninspiring means that something that doesn't produce excitement or interest shes not saying it won't/she thinks there is no potential she saying there could be a lot of things done to make it more inspiring because that her style. As a designer I would expect you at least know this.
It's a very common slang among designers to call a boring place uninspiring. I don't know what you had today but making a whuzz about such a little thing is very unprofessional
I see Darren, I click. He’s more than a designer he looks at spaces how artists look at blank canvases. His style is not for everyone but his POV is very one of a kind.
I was going to say the same thing but you put it perfectly. I love how Darren makes me rethink what the limits really are. Love his swanky escapist style.
Couldn't agree more. His style is unique but doesn't feel like he is trying to follow trends. He really makes you think about a space in a different way, his designs always end up looking so cohesive overall without being matchy matchy. He also thinks about function, so it's not just style, but damn does it look so slick, stylish, warm and welcoming.
Chiara's design with Darren's furniture feels like the perfect cabin for me. Jenny's design felt desperately in need of a remodel. The place felt darker and less functional than the original. The furniture pieces feel thoughtless and are neither functional nor aesthetic.
But it did feel like interior design. All the others felt like they hade to rebuild the entire thing. Witch to me is more architecture then it is interior architecture. That roof is pretty. But the amount of dirt and leaves getting stuck in that slope would look awful, especially if it is a weekend cabin that can’t get the same amount of attention. And the woman that recentered the entire wall. As if thats a quick fix without taking away from the integrity of the support beams. It just didn’t feel like interior architecture, more sims fantasy
@@juliaekeklint2428”they have free reign to design it, in any way they please…no restrictions, no clients, just blank space” An A frame cabin, that’s all that was limiting them. Part of the challenge was building a loft space where the original has none so it stands to reason there were no rules against architectural changes to better their design. If you end with an A frame cabin, it’s still within the restrictions. Her first comment was that there was no light in the space then she built a wall in front of the only visible light source and covered said wall in a darker tile so the space has about half the light it started with? So not only was her pure interior design lacking, even the architectural elements she added went against the needs of the space by her own claims.
Darren LITERALLY never disappoint and Chiara made the space really bright and natural. Jenny's design is good, but girlll the way you present it makes me feel depressed, the energy is not giving today huh?
You guys are being very kind with Jenny. Her dissent is very boring, and most of us would need to remodel everything. As an interior designer myself, I dont understand what she was thinking and what rules she applied. It's not functional, is not beautiful, is not aesthetic... I have no idea what was her goal.
Darren really used the space for what it was worth. Great proportions. Love the poly-carbonate walls, the fireplace shape, the solar lamp, the bed section, the big couch…it all works. And he has books to read. Yay! Chiara’s is serene and functional. I really like the green, the big window wall and bed section, plus cool stairs. It’s a bit old-fashioned but nice. Jenny could have done more with the space. Very small couch for a retreat and what’s up with the kitchen? It has no sink. And no dining table. The whole place also felt a bit dark. She said she found the original space uninspiring…and I guess she didn’t get over that.
Jenny totally dropped the ball on this one 😖 The other two seemed to think more about how the space would be used and the setting…Darren really pulled out all the stops!!
I mean everyone have their own interest and favorite style. not everyone likes a chalet, and when you don't like it, no matter how good of a designer you are, something just push you back
Loved Darren's fire place, but Chiara's design was an absolute stunner. If I could Darren's bookshelves (storage space) into Chiara's design, I'd never leave the cabin. Oh Jenny Jenny Jenny, who hurt you? Only one natural light source that's covered by a boring kitchen island. And the loft space is just completely empty! I hope she studies, reads and researches more to give some life to her creations. You can't take mismatched fun furniture and call it 'modern'.
Chiara's is my favorite of the three. Personally i dont like the whole glass wall, since i prefer privacy. I think if the glass stopped at the loft lvl itd be perfect. Also like you said I'd also include some bookshelves. I really like Darren's double doors and ceiling windows. Both have so many great features to their design.
Chiara’s portfolio didn’t show how amazing she could work the space and I was pleasantly surprised. I love love love how she made the view the focal point and I can definitely spend a very very long time here and feel so grounded
@@Cyril29a he also does more realistic designs ive seen in other videos but the challenge was “no limits or budget” so i like that he really ran with that
Darren's design is breath taking. OMG, if it was an Airbnb I would PAY MY SOUL 💰 Chiara's design is so cute, I can see my family staying in there for sure. Jenny's: 😐😶
Darren’s ideas resonate so much with me. He truly makes every space so sexy and I love that he’s thinking of entertaining as much as someone just spending time in solitude. I’d love to stay there.
She seemed a little nervous to me. I think that might have been the reason why her design felt less imaginative. I struggle to explore creatively when I feel anxious as well.
I love Chiara's sooooo much! I like Daren's too just too contemporary for my personal taste. Now let's talk Jenny's :-) I'm confused about so much about her design choice and I'm not talking about the wacky furniture pieces. First she essentially keeps the small glass door at the back. Then she blocks half the light with that tile wall and compounds it by putting the stairs there. Then she adds a super low artsy furniture that conflicts to me with the architectural structure of the space and the design of her kitchen.
jennys style has so much potential, her willingness to use those bright, bold colors could bright such a cool energy. it seems like she just didnt push the boundaries the way the other designers did. i also definitely think if she was going for “art gallery” her design could’ve benefited from some cool art, especially something funky like a blocky sculpture
Jenny's looked like she closed her eyes and picked things to plop in at random places. Looks jumbled, messy, uncohesive, and barely any natural light. It feels like she suffocated the entire layout.
Darren, as usual, did not disappoint! I love how he reimagined the fireplace to include a seating element. I also like how he added the glass walls so that there is always some natural light to enjoy. Chirara's house was my favorite though, with the abundance of natural light, the simplicity of the loft and her choice of cozy furnishings. Her cabin looks like one that would be enjoyable for more than just a weekend. I wish I could say something good about Jenny's but unfortunately, I can't. Her modern approach to the space seemed disjointed and just out of place. Darrens was modern, yet ticked all the boxes. Jenny's seemed to be designing out of her comfort box as if she didn't fully understand the assignment. The darkness in this design was just depressing and I can't get over the fact that the one tiny light source that was available in the space, was cut in half by her adding that big island in front of it. Lackluster and depressing is how I would describe her space, a place to go when you are extremely sad and want to stay that way. I hated her space, but LOVE this series!
We were asked which designer came closest to creating the getaway of our dreams. We were NOT asked to say which one we "hated" or provide a critique of anyone's work, especially not in a mean or rude way. Would you say that to her face? Then why say it via keyboard courage? If we keep criticizing these designers with obnoxious mean comments, this series will not last because no one wants to come on here and have their ideas shot down in a disgraceful way. Mean comments will ruin this series which we all love so much, so please, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
@@AllThingsSoul Who are you to tell me how to watch the show, what to feel about the show or how to express myself about how it made me feel? My comments were not mean or disgraceful they were honest, they were my opinion and I am entitled to give it just as much as anyone else commenting. If they did not want to know what people thought, there would not be a comment section. If they wanted to hear only good things, even if the designs were bad, then it would be a praise section, not a comment section. IF the designers are reading comments, and that is a big IF, then they will hopefully grow from what they read and be aware of the impact that their designs have. It's beneficial for them to need to know that while they may love their ideas, that they may experience harsh feedback if they try certain ones with clients. As for would I say it to her face, you don't know me, I would. I think it is better to deliver the truth with love than to lie to people just to keep getting something or just to make them feel good. I want them to do better. I want them to be aware of how their designs make me feel. If their design makes me feel sad and depressed, like the dark cave that Jenny designed in this video, I am not going to just swallow that. I am going to say how I feel. If you don't like reading honest opinions, then you probably shouldn't read the comment section, because your fear of the series not continuing is your own and it's not going to keep me from watching and giving my honest opinion, so you can take your opinion of my comment somewhere else. It's not wanted or needed here.
Loved Darren's and Chiara's! I think having Eric in here would've been awesome due to the fact that he's so into natural, warm design I think he had so much more potential for this instead of that third designer who clearly didn't know what to do or even have the energy to participate
Chaira's design blew me away, stunning and practical. Watching all three unfold was fun, but Chiara's managed to be bright while maintaining the a-frame vibe.
Chiara's design felt the most inspired by the raw materials. Jenny's choices and reasoning made me feel like she would make the same choices regardless of the space. Really surprised she didn't try to add in more natural light. You can see the impact of experience. Darren's was super creative and worked well with the space
Love Darren's design 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. This would definitely be my cabin. The frosted glass walls and ceilings are amazing. And that fireplace 🤯. I would never leave 😅. Chiaras' design is nice. As someone else's cabin, I would be happy to stay there. It is very calming. The floor to ceiling glass, is what draws my eye. Jenny's design doesn't do anything for me it's too dark and closed in.
I usually think that Darren's designs are a little too much for me, but I love this one. The fireplace is stunning! And I enjoy this series so much, so happy when a video like this pops up. Thank you for your work!
I love this series too and it feels like they've only barely scratched the surface with the various types of spaces they can still do for future episodes.
Darren's is giving me 70's Bond vibes and I'm totally sold on the fantasy 😎 Chiara's vision started off a little meh but once she broke open the back wall it all came together 😍 Not sure about the third space... Feels like a cold and confused art gallery I wouldn't want to spend any time in. Also her disinterested vocal fry would send me if we had to work together 😅
Re: the third space (Jenny’s) EXACTLY!! Vocal fry and feigned disinterest are defense mechanisms of an incompetent person trying to exude competence, as if the work is beneath them. I work with these kinds of people all the time. Zero skill, but excellent at trying to hide it. Push them even a little and they completely break down into tears. Her design was absolutely terrible.
@@KidFreshie I knew Jenny didn't have clue after I saw the stair going in front of the door and she didn't move the door and the fireplace . I had to skip over her parts because it was so terrible .
So glad everyone seems to agree about Jenny’s space. Really gives me “quick house flipper, paint everything beige and white”. I kept thinking the before was the after for half the video for hers. The transparent railing was cool though, but the design just didn’t scream cabin getaway by the end.
Darren's design blew it out of the water for me (as always). So much drama, coziness, and different moments. If I had the millions, I'd choose him to design my entire life. Chiara's design is beautiful but not really my vibe. The glass wall -- perfect. She created a beautiful canvas and then filled it with understated, bland furniture and decor. Her furniture felt small, scattered and uncoordinated compared to the scale of the cabin. The modern structure with the vintage pieces didn't mesh well. She seems to have a family in mind and left a lot of room for customization, so maybe I'm not the audience. Jenny...I think she is an interior decorator, not a designer. She seems to have more experience with apartments and generic living layouts, and following modern trends. This looked like it was a challenge for her and struggled to make use of what she had. She was restricting herself. She might be new to the field and definitely needs to build her own style outside of Pinterest/Instagram trends!
Agreed. Darren understood the task 20/10! Good flow, cohesive, relaxing, moody and livable. Loved the ceiling! Chiara's interior design choices left me perplexed as well - I felt like a lot of copy-paste was happening with the 2 tables and the 2 full size sofas in the same area. Overall good work but not exciting at all. Jenny's is colorful. However, she did next to nothing with the space, the placement of the furniture doesn't create a good flow and is visually fragmented. It felt like a rental place filled with pieced of furniture found around that do not really match each other too well as well as the size of the space.
Darren really just blew this out the park, I feel like other designers don't really take advantage of the fact that there's no budget no restrictions, like show us how imaginative you can be. Be bold be expressive, with functionality of course
Chiara's base changes with the glass wall, the bleached beams, etc, were perfect, and just add in all of Darren's furniture and decor choices :) Jenny- does she even like A frames??
Darren has such a unique and distinguished way of vision a space; I always feel like he is made to design restaurants, lounge cafes, clubs... those types of places. On the other hand, I would love to live in a place created by Chiara; her design looks so welcoming, bright, and elegant. I love both their styles, just each of them for different purposes
Chiara: LOVE! Thank you, Chiara for maintaining the fireplace along a wall. Idk whose idea it was to have it just absolutely dominate the space in a single-room cozy cabin. I like that she used mostly light toned woods and white walls, but then added deeper-toned elements in the decor like that gorgeous forest green rug. The couch is adorable; the upholstery looks like eyelet lace and I’m in love with it. The kitchen is very cute and charming, but she really should have accounted for the lost cabinet space like Darren did. I also don’t see why there needs to be an additional table just to play board games on, that’s what coffee tables are for. The little wall sconces are to die for. I wish she had done something above the fireplace, like a framed painting or just some sort of wall decor. I really like this design. It’s great for someone like me who wants a cozy cabin in the woods, but isn’t really down with the whole dark and moody aesthetic. Darren: i know I just said that I don’t think a smaller space like this needs a giant angled fireplace that encroaches into the middle of the room, but this one does look really cool. It’s super impractical, though I mean it’s basically an open campfire inside lol. I definitely agree that the space needed more natural light, but he went a bit overboard imo, with the walls being all windowed. That lighting fixture is a really cool concept. The modern, angular sectional is phenomenal and I really appreciate the fact that it’s pink. And honestly, what’s a cabin in the woods without a bearskin rug? I think he did a great job. I hated his first design in this series but they’ve gotten better and better each time. Jenny: particle board? Really? That just looks like the builders got tired of doing the cabinets so they just left them unfinished. That couch looks like a worm wearing a hazmat suit. I hate it. I like that she actually closed off the loft to make it a bit cozier and more private. I’m obsessed with the green tile in the kitchen but umm…where’s the actual kitchen part? Fridge, sink, oven/stove? I just see a bunch of counter space. Also, this design in general is not giving cabin-in-the-woods but rather post modern urban chic. Overall, not my favorite.
So I'll rank them according to my preferences... 1st Darren's. The moment he changed the walls to polycarbonate insulated glass, it was a win for me😄 The design is warm, mystical yet has a very modern look. The fireplace is so cool. The color palette is warm and cozy. 2nd Chiara's. The backwall brings in so much of natural light. It gives of a modern yet an aesthetic vibe. It's warm, cozy just like any cabin I would want to relax in. I love the dining and kitchen space. The color palette is neutral and bright. 3rd Jenny's. The design's a bit mix of different color tones which sadly don't go well together. I would love the elements in the design if used in separate spaces. There's not much of a natural light which I believe is an important element for a cozy cabin. Overall, it has a room for improvement. Thanks for the video!!
Yes, I too am curious as to why a bathroom wasn't part of the design. I also would have liked to see a switch-back staircase separating the living room and the kitchen to the loft. So many more opportunities here that are still possible. Love this series AD. Keep up the amazing work.
I love Darren's design, it's cozy, it's creative while having a practical setup. A rainy day, or the golden hour would be mesmerizing. There's a bookshelf! ( which btw adds like 1000000 points from my side instantly). I have always noticed his designs have a very specific vibe to them, I can't exactly name it, but there's this thing about it that makes me so happy
@@FolkFaninMA Me too!!! the fireplace idea was amazing. It divides the space while keeping it open. and the asymmetry just pulls it all together much better
Darren has an incredible, unique eye. He's the kind of designer that I see what he does and I'm like "it's brilliant, I'm obsessed", but you never would have thought of it on your own. That glass roof is unreal. 🔥
Clearly Darren's design is a totally awesome home run!:). I could move in and never leave:) - that's what design is all about!. Chiara's design was well thought out and will appeal to many client's aesthetics. Jenny - well, I don't think she could see herself in this space and couldn't quite find a way to make it that special place...Love this series - thanks for all the inspiration!
So I've watched a few episodes and I must say Darren nails it every single time. He's so talented. He's also nice and respectful. A very calm person, yet his design is so... out loud. He's simply amazing at what he does
The translucent panels on the A-Frame by Darren are so nice, perfect for a winter cabin with a great view of the sunrise and sunset. And the living room area furniture + sundisk lighting + ribbon effect staircase are so pretty too Chiara's decision of having a glass backwall is also very lovely, very light and open Jenny's pebble lighting fixture is so nice, I'd have loved that somewhere in Darren's design
Darren is amazing - not all his spaces are my taste, but just understanding how he approaches the work is absolutely fascinating. Amazing all around for all three designers!
it's really satisfying to see something opposite, especially Chiara and Darren. Darren's design really memorable and cozy for winter, it has winter special vibes, and of course vintage, classic, melancholy. And Chiara it's such a stunning design for summer. minimalist, modern, and cheerful.
This is one of my favorite shows on AD. Wow, those were a diverse group of designers... 1st place - Chiara's design was the most functional, bright and airy. Opening up the end with a full wall of windows was perfect! Moving the lighter fireplace to the side, so the room was open and not chopped up - Yes! 2nd - Darren - glass roof does not seem practical. Fireplace is interesting..., but the bookcase is an awesome touch! 3rd - Jenny - Wth? Unfinished particle board siding in the kitchen, yellow furniture out of a kid's bouncy house? Seriously gross! The other two designers were too kind in their assessment - lol.
Mean comments like this will ruin the series we all love so much. No one wants to come on here and have their ideas shot down in a disgraceful way. We all like something different. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Would you say that to their face? Then why say it with keyboard courage? Would you want someone to say that about your ideas?
Darren makes choices I might never initially make, and then reminds me why he gets paid the big bucks. I’ve watched like six of these videos and he blows my mind every time with what a cohesive approach he takes to transforming the space, instead of just slapping paint and installing chincy furniture.
Darren's design is my favourite in this whole wonderful series. Watching my dream house come to life before my eyes was magical! To be able to marry grandeur with cosiness and a sense of peace is a masterful skill.
Darren’s design is formidable in scale, modernity, and edginess. Better balance overall. The second lady had a better roof and glass wall to highlight the views. Her furniture pieces placement felt small and cluttered. Did not fit well within the space. The third lady I think we are all left puzzled by her offputting design, dark space and overall depressive and dead energy. Not sure if she was nervous or just didn’t enjoy the assignment.
Chiara's design looks like a cute doll house, tbh I did not initially expect to love that the most. And love how all 3 of it turned out different and magical in their own way❤
I ADORE Darren's. It's like a classy, upscale, mid century ski cabin. Obsessed with the fire place, how he mirrors that with the shape of the sofa. He's the only one who really added storage. That bookcase pulls the whole living room together. Chiara's is nice, it has this blend of vaguely Scandinavian, cottage core, and grandma chic that all just works together. Light, bright, airy.
I need Darren's space with Chiara's open window design!!! OMG. Darren had some STIFF competition this time!!! Wow! Chiara's literally captured me simply because of that open window! I'm a loyal fan of Darren's designs though! It's Darren for me!!!
I absolutely loved darren’s design! He looked at the space and knew immediately what to do with it, even tho there’s a lot of furniture going on but it all fits together perfectly creating an insane sense of coziness and it feels like the perfect countryside getaway!! From one interior designer to another he did a great job 👏🏻
Darren's design is outstanding in every way!! I love how he easily transforms every environment into a work of art! Chiara made such a cozy and beautiful place, I'd love to spend time in there... Jenny's work was definitely not my cup of tea, and the lack of ventilation made me unintentionally hold my breath...
Chiara's design won me over!!!! I would love to have a romantic getaway in that cabin!! Darren a close second. Absolutely love Darren's energy!! The other designer 👎and she came across as she didn't even want to be involved. Please keep this type of video coming!!
I can’t get enough of this series! With two new designers this time, I enjoyed watching Darren take lead in discussion. His was most editorial. Loved all three takes!
I think it'd be really cool to have interior designers work together on one of these projects. I really wanna see the process of people's different experiences and styles mixed together in one project
Taste and preferences are such personal matters and have a lot to do with the environment we grew up in--what signifies comfort or luxury to us. It's pretty clear that Darren Jett (So nice to see him back!) takes the no rules thing to heart because he often seems to make the most radical changes to the original structure, which usually entails the highest cost. Not saying that $ buys style, but in the hands of a clever designer, the sky's pretty much the limit. Here, DJ blew the roof off of the cabin and took down a wall; his colleagues made more modest alterations. He really knocked it out of the park. I would pick his design (not difficult to spot) if $ were no object.
the only bad thing I can say about the design was his fireplace. the idea is beautiful. the execution of smoke not getting drawn out is dangerous to one's health.
Cabin 1: The bones are perfect, the stair is negotiable. Cabin 2: The vibe is there! The furniture and fireplace I would love for a summer cottage. Cabin 3: The minimal space taken is great and that citron color is delicious. Great video.
I love watching the creative process of these talented designers. It really helps me to think differently about my own space. They make it seem, if not easy, at least attainable to have a beautiful space.
I love that Chiara added big windows and the focus is the view. Her design feels ; safe, warm and inviting. I'd stay in Darrens for a few days getaway.
the 3 Interior Designers Transform... is my favorite segment these days. Each designer brought in elements that I love and Darren Jett created the perfect Fortress of Solitude for me with the tiniest of tweaks over the bed - I'd love to be able to stargaze from that bed
I absolutely ADORE Darren and Chiara's designs! While I see the value in the third design, I would love love love to have seen what craziness Noz would have brought!!
Absolutely OBSESSED with Darren's fireplace; I've never seen anything like it before and if I had the money and space for it I'd install one in my place IMMEDIATELY
There's things about all three I like. Darren had me with the polycarbonate thermal glass. It's pretty great. I love the wall of books. He's a brilliant designer. To slow my roll with him.. it's a strong POV and almost a little crowded. It's fairly masculine. The others might have a little more flexibility and space to add personal touches. I liked Chiara's glass wall and fireplace and Jenny's 'materiality' as Darren put it. Her kitchen is very appealing and usable. Swiss chalet spaces using pine, in my experience at least, are richer in color, more yellow and warm.
I just love how positive Darren is when he first sees the brief. Always calling out what he loves when everyone else seems to be pointing out its downfalls
Darren Jett truly speaks to me. When he put in the glass ceiling, I thought the space looked too cold. But by the time he was finished, I was delighted by his vision.
This series continues to delight, and it's great to have the renders! Seeing the floorplan is equally helpful, especially in a long/deep space like this, so AD please show them too!
They think so much further than I ever could about what a space can be. Darren's light, bookshelf and fireplace are just what made me love that space the most. I love Chiara's floor to ceiling windows and the fireplace I like what Jenny is adding to the space, but almost as individual changes, I can't see them all together. I would absolutely love that green tile wall though.
Three very different design styles for the same space--very interesting! One thing I've noticed watching these videos, how important lighting is, whether the look is bright or soft, the quality of the lighting does so much for the total effect.
wow, 19:56 is literally my grandma's house. if she ever has an estate sale, you can get all of this furniture for cheap. it had those clear plastic couch covers on for decades, so it's probably all still good
Each of their design matches exactly the amount of energy they had in this video.
🤣🤣🤣
So true especially Jenny's.
HAHAHAHA JENNY WAS A BLAHHH like her’s was not using the space at all
Lol. Yes. There was definitely a lag or two.
Ok let me put plywood in the kitchen😆😆😆😆
Number 2 is very inviting. When she changed all the beams to white and added the large window, I thought it was breathtaking.
I was a bit horrified by the white beams, although it grew on me. loosing the fireplace in a cabin is a no starter tho'.
It has zero storage space though 😭
yep, perfect beams, window, bedroom, fireplace....but the furniture and rug was awful!
Same here! #2: She’s a winner, cozy, comfortable, inviting, bright and inviting!
I liked her windows but His kitchen. All of their fireplaces and furniture was awful.
Chiara > homey and cosy
Darren > mysterious and fun
Jenny > no idea!
I was shocked that Jenny wasn't at all inspired by the A-frame!
lmaooo
So true LOL
For real. I LOATHED Jenny's. Particle board?!?!? Chiara's was wonderful and I liked Darren's a lot, too.
Except the furniture was ugly didn't connect with the permanent choices she made but great for mid century furniture with curves
Absolutely agree. The most boring or awkward spaces are actually the most inspiring, because constraints lead to the most creative thinking.
It quite literally was uninspiring it doesn't give off any certain vibes and its boring. Uninspiring means that something that doesn't produce excitement or interest shes not saying it won't/she thinks there is no potential she saying there could be a lot of things done to make it more inspiring because that her style. not sure why you are so triggered... perhaps you need to revisit the definition of the word/how it is used.
So you made an ignorant comment without knowing what the lingo means 😂
I see Darren, I click. He’s more than a designer he looks at spaces how artists look at blank canvases. His style is not for everyone but his POV is very one of a kind.
Absolutely agree! Love his vision and the apparent lack of boundaries/limits.
Can't agree more! He is so amazing and talented!

He also thinks about function, so it's not just style, but damn does it look so slick, stylish, warm and welcoming.
Bro got that flintstones chic aesthetic
Huge props to the person rendering these designs!
Absolutely! I’d love to know how they did it. Felt like magic.

It's probably a space design program, but it still takes imagination and skill to transpose their ideas visually.
Chiara's design with Darren's furniture feels like the perfect cabin for me. Jenny's design felt desperately in need of a remodel. The place felt darker and less functional than the original. The furniture pieces feel thoughtless and are neither functional nor aesthetic.
:)) That s what i had in my mind. It looked like a BEFORE.
what a mish mosh she created and it was obvious from the beginning that the design was going nowhere

Yeah, I actually think her design would be much more popular with people if she didn’t speak in such a weird drone lol
You guys are being very kind with Jenny. Her dissent is very boring, and most of us would need to remodel everything. As an interior designer myself, I dont understand what she was thinking and what rules she applied. It's not functional, is not beautiful, is not aesthetic... I have no idea what was her goal.
true lol
@@allwhatilove914 I dont think she had one to be honest . I've met people like her who just copy whats trending nd call it "design"
@@allwhatilove914I have to agree with you. It’s cute-ish for today but her design would be rendered dated in less than six months.
Jenny totally dropped the ball on this one 😖
The other two seemed to think more about how the space would be used and the setting…Darren really pulled out all the stops!!
I mean everyone have their own interest and favorite style. not everyone likes a chalet, and when you don't like it, no matter how good of a designer you are, something just push you back
For real! Darren was just being nice when he said he'd love to cook in Jenny's kitchen. Like, giiirl, you need a sink and stove to cook LOL
Right! As soon as I saw the space I thought skylights
You're taking this video too seriously, chill it.
"Jenny, who hurt you?" wth this is just a video abt design, you don't need to be so rude to that designer
YES lol
Chiara's is my favorite of the three. Personally i dont like the whole glass wall, since i prefer privacy. I think if the glass stopped at the loft lvl itd be perfect. Also like you said I'd also include some bookshelves. I really like Darren's double doors and ceiling windows. Both have so many great features to their design.
If I could merge Darren's and Chiara's designs I would live there immediately.
Yes, exactly! I had the same thought .
My thought exactly!
Exactly what I was thinking!
I'd love my mornings to be in Chiara's and my evenings in Darren's.
Exactly! ❤
Chiara’s portfolio didn’t show how amazing she could work the space and I was pleasantly surprised. I love love love how she made the view the focal point and I can definitely spend a very very long time here and feel so grounded
Darren just blows it out of the water every time , just beyond gorgeous and inventive if I win the lottery I know who to call !
The price and practicality are ignored in favour of the play factor. Darren's ideas simply wouldn't work in real life.
Interior design course kr ne ke liya Kay maths compulsory he Kay
@@Cyril29a he also does more realistic designs ive seen in other videos but the challenge was “no limits or budget” so i like that he really ran with that

Darren's design is breath taking. OMG, if it was an Airbnb I would PAY MY SOUL 💰
Chiara's design is so cute, I can see my family staying in there for sure.
Jenny's: 😐😶
same !
I totally agree❤
Darren’s ideas resonate so much with me. He truly makes every space so sexy and I love that he’s thinking of entertaining as much as someone just spending time in solitude. I’d love to stay there.
I LOVE Chiara's design. So beautiful, calm, peaceful. and she kept the view.
AD: no restrictions
Jenny: let’s keep everything the same and add particle board
lol
I agree her choices didn’t help the place made it look cluttered
She lost me when she said the cabinets and the kitchen island would be made of particle board 😬
I don’t think she comprehended the assignment.
Darren understand the assignment; No rules. He seems to look at this as an artist looks at a blank canvas. Articulate and intelligent.
jennys style has so much potential, her willingness to use those bright, bold colors could bright such a cool energy. it seems like she just didnt push the boundaries the way the other designers did. i also definitely think if she was going for “art gallery” her design could’ve benefited from some cool art, especially something funky like a blocky sculpture
It would have needed a full on renovation LOL 😅
Jenny's looked like she closed her eyes and picked things to plop in at random places. Looks jumbled, messy, uncohesive, and barely any natural light.
It feels like she suffocated the entire layout.
@@jadelee6555 😂😂 legit!! I couldn’t believe that she’s an actual designer
I hated her space, but LOVE this series!
to be fair, Darren's is set in the evening. I bet if they showed his in daylight, it would have tons of natural light too!
@@erictsang7047 I think you misread what I wrote. I said I liked how Darren added the glass walls for natural light.
Darren’s design looks perfect for winter nights, it is so warm! Chiara’s design makes you feel at home, loved the massive natural light!
Loved Darren's and Chiara's! I think having Eric in here would've been awesome due to the fact that he's so into natural, warm design I think he had so much more potential for this instead of that third designer who clearly didn't know what to do or even have the energy to participate
exactly, Jenny didn't seem like she even wanted to be there :/
Her energy was just exhausting - as was the monotone manner in which she spoke.
I really love creativity of Darren, he doesn't have limits in his imagination and he is so brave with design solutions! Definitely chose his design
They all did wonderful but Chiara de Rege's vision just spoke to me. Windows are everything and the Fireplace is amazing.
Chaira's design blew me away, stunning and practical. Watching all three unfold was fun, but Chiara's managed to be bright while maintaining the a-frame vibe.
So so so cozy!!! Would love to stay there ❤
I am SO INVESTED in this series!!!! pls don't stop
The fireplace is a great conversation starter
This is one of my favourite series on TH-cam; I love it! Keep 'em coming, AD!
I love this series too and it feels like they've only barely scratched the surface with the various types of spaces they can still do for future episodes.
me too. It's like a TV series
same!
Darren's is giving me 70's Bond vibes and I'm totally sold on the fantasy 😎
Chiara's vision started off a little meh but once she broke open the back wall it all came together 😍
Not sure about the third space...
Same lol even her energy is dull
A combo of Darren and Chiara is a design that I would love
Those two putting their minds together would be a lovely space. Jenny...can go get coffee or something
I don’t usually gravitate toward Darren’s designs but I absolutely love what he did here!
It's giving Airbnb from a horror film to me...
“Worm in a Hazmat suit.” 😂😂😂 I will remember that every time I see these pieces now…in a good way. Thank you. 🏆

I feel like it screams "what? I had to do what? Design a place? Uhhh... let's see. Um, couch yellow, uhh what else...."
Like when she pulled out the Togo sofa it was done for me…
Chiara's and Darren's are so pretty, I love what they did for stairs and fireplace, especially Darren's bookcase and Chiara's glass wall.
These interior designers have such unique taste. We all hope to see them design more interiors or possibly exteriors.
Yup, bookcases just add a certain warmth and interest to a space. I really liked his fireplace too.

A very calm person, yet his design is so... out loud. He's simply amazing at what he does
I love this series so much! It's amazing how a space can be transformed in so many different ways. Please continue to do these and do them more often!
The translucent panels on the A-Frame by Darren are so nice, perfect for a winter cabin with a great view of the sunrise and sunset. And the living room area furniture + sundisk lighting + ribbon effect staircase are so pretty too
Chiara's decision of having a glass backwall is also very lovely, very light and open
Jenny's pebble lighting fixture is so nice, I'd have loved that somewhere in Darren's design
This series is my Super Bowl: I scream the entire time either in agreement or disagreement. Never stop this!

I so want to live in Darren's design.
Darren’s is my favorite. Very natural and cozy.
The third designer is just not about the A frame😂😂😂
Darren's design is outstanding in every way!! I love how he easily transforms every environment into a work of art! Chiara made such a cozy and beautiful place, I'd love to spend time in there... Jenny's work was definitely not my cup of tea, and the lack of ventilation made me unintentionally hold my breath...
Chiara's design won me over!!!! I would love to have a romantic getaway in that cabin!! Darren a close second. Absolutely love Darren's energy!! The other designer 👎and she came across as she didn't even want to be involved. Please keep this type of video coming!!
Chiara's design concept 100%! Beautiful, thoughtful and ozy!
2 is the classic basic modern suggestion. 1 is nuts, killed it, so good
Taste and preferences are such personal matters and have a lot to do with the environment we grew up in--what signifies comfort or luxury to us.
If I get rich someday I will search for Darren! He is such a entertaining genius. Everything is so cozy but also high end!
Cabin 1: The bones are perfect, the stair is negotiable.
Cabin 2: The vibe is there! The furniture and fireplace I would love for a summer cottage.
Cabin 3: The minimal space taken is great and that citron color is delicious.
Great video.
Darren has revived my weekday! His designs are so awe inspiring🤩
I would love to see a video on how Darren decorated his own home!
I love watching the creative process of these talented designers. It really helps me to think differently about my own space. They make it seem, if not easy, at least attainable to have a beautiful space.
Darren speaks so well! He draws me in with his words and eyes. I love his design best too.
Darren’s spaces always really capture me. Always feel romantic.
Darren’s design looks so romantic, warmn. Chiara’s is so light and makes me want to go with my family. Jenny’s one… makes me feel claustrophobic
I absolutely ADORE Darren and Chiara's designs! While I see the value in the third design, I would love love love to have seen what craziness Noz would have brought!!
Darren had me with the ceiling light, than two doors and stairs in the middle, the fireplace and the bookcase I was packing and ready to move in. ❤️
These are stunning! Love, love, love Chiara's. So cozy and romantic, simple, beautiful. Thanks, AD. Another gem
I love Darren and Chiara's design idea!!
I love the open glass frame that Ciara added,it just add something to the whole A frame!!Cool
Love Chiara design, the high glass window/door brings so much light,it’s Chiara for me,I was also hoping one of them would move the fireplace
Now that’s a cabin Darren! You crushed it. So awesome ❤️
I loved Darren’s design, it looks much more like a weekend retreat, and the bookshelves!!!
Darren's design was beautiful and he complimented the other two designers so kindly and well. I liked his demeanor a lot
Three very different design styles for the same space--very interesting! One thing I've noticed watching these videos, how important lighting is, whether the look is bright or soft, the quality of the lighting does so much for the total effect.
