I love Joy's sentiment about eliminating a sense of hierarchy at the dining table. That philosophy is actually scientifically sound. If you eat under stress, your food becomes mildly poisonous when it mixes with these stress chemicals. That's an excellent reason why nobody should pay money for a designer to make them feel oppressed while eating.

I think a guest would prefer that to having to go to the main house in the middle of the night. Even if it was the type of toilet that is used in a tiny house. For all three architects: the assignment was to transform a garage into a guesthouse. So, why continue to hold onto the idea that it’s a garage? The idea of having a car in it (or below it) is pretty gross-motor oil on the floor, fumes in the air. If your guest is bringing a cat, the cat will want to lick up that motor oil, which cats love, but which is fatal to them. Also, the idea of having to use pulleys or wheels or even remote controls, to open the garage door and move the furniture to accommodate a car is just absurd. Not even Darren thought this project through well. I’m disappointed.

So if Noz is trying to use a garage, too, what are you doing eith all the furniture (ugly furniture)?

Noz’s design is my fav by far. I’d love to sleep in this beautiful Japanese inspired room, that still has life and color 😭

Noz easily has the best one. You can actually return it to a garage once again.

I hate Darren's floors but he made a Mojo dojo Casa house and I love this adventurous spirit, not many designer consider men using a living space.

Is the guy building a garage for the devil?
Does he know how much structural glass costs?

I'd probably use a combination of Noz's and Joy's design. I love the idea of a small kitchen. Especially if you are thinking about a grandma that might enjoy her morning coffee.

For the first time, Darren was a flop.
Another first, Noz was tame and realistic.

    1) I am most comfortable with Noz's design. I like how she explains everything enthusiastically, especially the tree branch blossom ceiling light, which looks amazing. Her Bonsai is not so cute, but her Sashiko jacket is lovely. 2) Darren - What did you do? It is not a relaxing space at all... I would feel on edge... 3) Joy's vision of a cool grandma is not entirely convincing. The space is too crowded, with a 4-seater dining room and no relaxing chair or sofa. A big no for me. Noz won this one for me.

A luxurious red light district??? NO way! Worst of the worst.
Noz is finally growing up. Still whimsical elements, but not as childish.
Joy is taking the cake on this one.

Loved the floor idea by Noz, generally a big fan of the Japanese zen aesthetic, the materiality of the sink threw me off though. Loved the concept but don't think she fully managed to weave it together. Joy was alright. It certainly made me think of granny style. Darren was daring and for once I wasn't mad at the materials he picked. That was a playful innovative design. Clever pull up bed. Cool stone floor. The red glass was a vibe. Sure all very BDSM, but can't deny the consequent execution of the theme here.
