      @dive2drive314 definitely not on Discovery, but I did write and narrate them. So thanks for the compliment. I still have a long way to go as a "writer" but I am trying.

      @@tarantulacollective Well I definitely dig it. I like the idea of tying the global regions to the spider and the footage you include.. makes it more immersive!

      @@tarantulacollective I think you mentioned poaching in this video. I was wondering, who would be out hunting the spiders and who would they be selling them to?
      I mean, if I were to buy a T, it would be from someone like you, breeding them in captivity.

Just in time too to inspire me for setting up a bio active enclosure for my mature male Pamphobeteus Manga Negra, he has been mature over 2 years now so I want to make his remaining time as nice as possible so although already nice it needs a revamp. Cant wait for more of these documentary style videos, kindest regards, Joanne 🐺

    Richard! I am trying to get deeper into the hobby! Especially with the naturalistic/bioactive setups. I've recently and successfully bred a pair of T. Vagans. I want to start selling/shipping the slings from that as well as some mature males I have. What would be the best route for that? I've heard ArachnoBoard is a great place, but idk where to start exactly. Do I need to create an LLC or get some kind of sellers license? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
    Great and informative video as always!

    7:27 you mentioned the Christmas tree pattern and I saw this and thought, wait that Tarantula looks like my "Caribena laeta". I think my sling Tarantula had the wrong label, it's one year old and ha an orange abdomen, and looks just like that. Thank you for your videos.
    Upon further review my Spiderling Tarnatual in Quaeston is a Puerto Rican Pinktoe Tarantula Caribena laeta, it's just the pattern looks similar to other tarantula species.

  • @ElfyFireKitten
    @ElfyFireKitten ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would suggest you get a highspeed camera since most of your shots are in slow motion, and the low fps makes it look super choppy. Otherwise its a great video.

    • @tarantulacollective
      @tarantulacollective  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do have a high speed camera and most of the choppy footage was filmed at 120fps and slowed down in post. It seems the issue is with the upload to TH-cam bc the original version doesn't have that jerky motion. I may need to re-upload it or something.

    • @ElfyFireKitten
      @ElfyFireKitten ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @tarantulacollective ah. Thats very odd. It suprised me since none of your other videos have this issue. I only noticed it on this one.

    My gosh they are beautiful. Arachnophobes are missing out on some of nature's most fascinating, beautiful animals. That's not to mention the vitally important roles spiders play in so many different ecosystems. Their role is as both predator and prey. The world would look very different without spiders. Learn about them, information is key to avoiding fear.

      My mom actually hates spiders/tarantulas/bugs in general. But she loves my p machala so much. She's started opening up to them now and now the household spiders don't get killed. I've always told her I'd rather see spiders then whatever they're eating, and if they're there then they're eating something.
