1:20 - just to point out if you add "--y" to the end of your "sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade", it'll do the update and upgrade without any prompting from you, until something important config wise pops up like if you were changing out your display manager or something and it wanted you to choose which you wanted as default. basically it tells apt "yes to all"

Good video. However the snap load times are significantly improved, since the week of the 17th of July. On my Ryzen 3 2200G Firefox load times are now between 5 and 1 seconds, dependent on the filling of the memory cache. For the next release more improvement are foreseen, like dividing the decompression over all CPUs instead of using 1 CPU.

@@linux4868 open source can still be targeted by the NSA. Lol. Pegasus is an app that doesn't even need you to click on anything. NSA already spies on all phones, even if you clear off everything. Many don't even take out their mic and cameras, unlike Edward Snowden. If you're really worried, you should be using an open source VPN (maybe a paid source, like NordVPN, like me, if you are more or less good on what you do), Whonix, QubesOS, don't put your real identity on TH-cam, etc.

    • @ReligionAndMaterialismDebunked

Time Shift takes a snapshots of the System. mostly it is used to make a system backup Os Level. Lets stay you are trying some experimental things on your system, its always recommend to take a snapshot of the ROOT. This way after math if the system is behaving weird you Can use the previous snapshot to restore the system with working condition.

Hello - when I tried to install "Flatpak" per your video ( the last image is license agreement) and thats it. Will NOT allow me to continue and error message reads " some about cannot open tar. " I have to Ctrl C to end the perpetual script.

Thank you so much for making this video. A Linux newbie here: just curious: *flatpak* doesn't require password or sudo command to install the packages. Isn't that a security risk?

Dont run flatpaks with Sudo command, Just do it normally.

I learned a lot on here but the speed you go is very impractical. If you could just pause a little bit it would help!

Hello, I'm new to the linux system I installed Jammy jellyfish and just now after watching your video I installed most of what you suggested. I did install the obs studio although it won't run on this laptop since it's older, can you tell me how to uninstall obs studio. Thank you and I appreaciate you taking the time make these videos.

IF you have installed OBS studio through Flatpak then follow the instructions below and run the commands inside terminal:
flatpak list (see the OBS studio, that may start with com. )
      flatpak uninstall App_NAME

I just bought a used Thinkpad T470s. I noticed that it's not on the Ubuntu list of certified laptops list. Should I still attempt to install Ubuntu? Thanks all
