I tried on my 12 Year OLD intel i5 3rd Generation PC> Ubuntu ran ok ok. It's not smooth. You can remove snaps if you want , I prefer flatpaks. Also Try ubuntu mate.
1st thing to do on 24.04: Delete partition 2nd thing to do: Reinstall 22.04 Ubiquity installer worked just fine. Flutter suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckssssssss. I understand Ubiquity was deprecated. But at least it worked. So once I safe graphics installed, I then got a WSOD. And that was the end of my Numbat experience. I didn't even get a chance to update, install tweaks, and gawd help me if I got extensions to work. The good news is that the GNOME GUI is gorgeous. Windows is jelly. I guarentee it. WinTile (Window snapping) is now integrated fully. No more having to install that extension. Firefox is still Snap based. Ugh. If you're going to install it by default, at least do a real DEB install. Same for you Thunderbird. I still don't understand why GParted isn't pre-installed. And just make a GRUB2 menu editor. Don't fight the Grub Customizer. Integrate it. They chose the perfect name for this version. Would've been better if they called it "Numbnut Numbskull". Maybe add some Greenday Nimrod theme music. 😒 Oh, and it uninstalls even easier than it installs. Bravo Ubuntu. I'll keep my 22.04 LTS. Mint still hasn't given me any troubles. I did have to update my .XZ packages, but that wasn't their fault. Shelve Flutter. It's not ready yet. Go back to Ubiquity. Use it one last time. It still works. Otherwise, go install Arch. At least it works once you get through the installation process.

It would be very positive for the new community coming from SO, where we are used to everything working as expected without complications, with everything already installed and updated, like in MacOS.
Today I had time to try some of your tips. Tried installing Chrome through gdebi and it didn't work, as there was a dependency not installed or too old (libglib2) and the button in gdebi was greyed out. Needed to use the terminal and dpkg from another tutorial.
Its because of New Ubuntu ,, GDEBI is having issues. Alternatively to install deb through command: Open terminal navigate to the file location using CD: then type *sudo dpkg -I PACKGE_NAME.deb *

do not install nala your mirrors will never be same before. you will start getting error while updating or installing some file with some mirror ubable to fetch. you will have to run the nala fetch and change the mirrors that are giving errors and the mirrors that gave error before. so do not use nala at all

you need to run these commands: *sudo apt update* *sudo apt install libgraph-dev* *sudo apt install build-essential* then restart your PC.. Now open any text editor and you can use Graphics.h in C language.

Turn off your PC, and turn on to boot into BIOS Settings. Set your boot manager to windows 11 .. and save the changes and restart your PC.
Does Qemu Require enabling hardware virtualization support in the CPU and the BIOS? Will Qemu work without hardware virtualization support?
You must enable hardware virtualization .. Otherwise it wont work.

Yes.. Host OS is running on bare metal, then I used QEMU or KVM to run a virtual machine I guess KUBUNTU.

When you have removed SNAP .. Forget about installing Chromium.. Use Brave..
