Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to TH-cam videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. Lots of love, Man Moth.
I love how I'm an American (Iowa) who has been listening to these so long that I completely understand the politics and rivalries between the different radio stations in London at the time. Know about Foxy, Moyles, John-O, Christian, etc. Understand references in the Camfield episode where they talk about him on the various stations. I laugh hysterically about the story of the guy proposing on XFM. What am I doing with my life?
I’m also an American who loves these. I go on the Ricky Gervais subreddit sometimes and I’ll occasionally forget that these shows have a predominantly British audience.
No clue if anyone agrees but this episode is great for one big reason. Steve and Ricky spend every episode before this mocking Chris Moyles without ever stepping the line. today Steve just straight up calls him fat and talentless. I love how he just gives up on the hinting
Steve was probably told to say sorry. Or didn't want to be talked about in the magazine's and have a celeb spat. I doubt he cared about Chris moyles feelings.
I listen to these from season 1 to season 4 on a loop at work...I swear to god it's the most hilarious and natural comedy iv ever heard..I laugh every time...Ricky's laugh and reactions are belly laughingly funny

"Don't call me a plonker you fffwwwankkkkrrrr." Whenever I get to that episode I listen to that bit over and over for about 15 minutes. I never get bored of it.
Something about this entire series makes me feel life was simpler back in the early 2000s. Especially the conversation about the builders in this episode. Idk why lol.
It's mind boggling how much these little titles have added to re-listening to these. Now instead of just clicking on a number, I see the title first, and I immediately start laughing before the damn thing even starts! I just looked at my side bar and saw "A cat that didn't look happy" and let out a hyena cackle that could go to par with Ricky's
@@GayIncel My husband’s a builder and I asked him what he’d do if he heard those kinds of comments about himself on the radio. It's super cringeworthy in this episode, because he's so used to Ricky telling him he's not being offensive, that he actually confidently says, "I'm not having a go. Tell 'em." I always have to skip those few seconds, because it makes me uncomfortable.
Justin Kline I feel the same. If Karl *already* knows that what he’s about to say can easily be misinterpreted and insensitive, then why does he still say it?? 🤷🏻♀️ He even started the sentence with ‘No...you know I’m not having a go’ His manners are shocking. He really has been dragged up.🤦♀️
