Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to TH-cam videos for each track). Pilkipedia archive link has been added as well and I've been having fun illustrating some of KP's best bits, I'm adding these to a shop incase anyone is interested: www.man-moth.com/ It's taking me a while to update the archives, especially as I don't work Mondays so please bear with me as I chip away at it. Lots of love, Man Moth.
theres something relaxing with these guys just chatting it up. When life is stressful, listening to Ricky, Steve, and Karl, make me realize life's not all bad =)
Yep. I can't hear the names Ricky Gervais, Steven Merchant and Karl Pilkington spoken together without immediately feeling better. Been listening for years, after a few months away I come back and have an enjoyable binge at work.
Since I was a teenager I've listened to these podcasts, sometimes on easy days, sometimes on days so difficult I'll never forget them. Walking home from school laughing to them, on the bus at 5am after something traumatic, now I'm 27 and still, I'm listening to them, on easy days and the difficult ones. I sometimes wonder how they feel about the impact they still have and if they even care, the thing is with art is it stays with you and lives on once you stopped. And though, many will argue that this cannot be art, to me the way its lived one proves nothing but. Chimpanzee that MONKEY NEWS HE'S ONLY GONE AND WRITTEN IT DOWN THE FU- AHHH!!!
This is actually a radio show. See, back in the old days ... we didn't have podcasts. We had radio shows. I AM DYING FASTER THAN I'D LIKE AND IT MAKES ME MAD.
I adore these shows. I like the little community we have in the comments too, very rare not to see hate, bile and vitriol down there! I just hope the guys don't take them off youtube.
One of the best episodes. I literally listen to all these series on repeat over the course of the year. I love them. My wife thinks I'm insane but I laugh every time. Thanks Man Moth
When he point blank refuses to consider Karl's thought experiment, it really annoys me! He can't appreciate that his thought experiment about infinite monkeys is just as mental as Karl's about a couple of gays raising a baby "in the jungle". He just won't listen to it and it really annoys me.
I love Ricky's "deep sarcasm", as I'll call it, like in 0:48-1:05. Whenever he says something with the last of his breath or really fast it's usually gold.
I wish they could have continued with the conversation on ”if KP was a president” they had such a nice flow there and I wonder where else the conversation could have gone if there weren’t any breaks....ahhh I love these videos, keep coming back to these.
I feel the same way when Karl questioned Ricky, who said that cavemen and dinosaurs didn't exist even remotely at the same time. Karl said "well who gave the dinosaurs their names?", and I so wanted them to delve further into that insanely hilarious question! XD

used to listen to these religiously back when I would download from limewire and transfer to my phone in the pre smart phone days when they barely had any memory so I would have to transfer a few at a time, my job at the time included a lot of travelling by car so they were a godsend when I realised i could hook my phone up to the car speakers via the tape deck with a cassette with a wire coming from it (that's how long ago it was) . A lot easier these days thanks to youtube premium but I do miss those days
Ricky says Karl wonders why people in wheelchairs don’t play swingball instead of tennis. Years later, Ricky writes a scene in Derek where a man in a wheelchair plays swingball with Karl’s character, Dougie.
I always smirk at the idea of Karl ruffling round his office for a prize, he sees a piece of carpet, mouse mat (and thinks to himself 'maybe give that away another week'. Then just rips out a giveaway from the paper and thinks 'that'll do... And that'
I listen to these whenever I'm moving flats (which I end up doing pretty much every year). I always find moving to be a pretty depressing experience, but these guys always cheer me up.
+david rankin I never got this. I've listened to them a lot, so I use them now to walk around and clear my head to, but I couldn't ever sleep to Karl saying deranged things and Ricky Screeching. Do you use earphones?

This is actually a radio show. See, back in the old days ... we didn't have podcasts. We had radio shows. I AM DYING FASTER THAN I'D LIKE AND IT MAKES ME MAD.
I started listening in 2010 when I was 20, I'm 34 this year, time flies too fast.
10 years for me. 26 now. Still love these @@UnderAGlassMetropolis
I don't like how fast time flies

+Lee moorhouse I know, everyone who comments on these is proper cool. Really enjoy going though them all.
+Lee moorhouse also very refreshing these days to listen to a show without the political correctness..im sure this is part of its success.
+Man Moth Mad, innit.
I love us too.

Thank God for xfm Karl during lockdown.
Listening Dec 2020 👍

Ricky’s gradual escalation from bewilderment to anger starting at 28:20 is priceless.
One of his best reactions, for me.

18:50 Ricky Screaming "NOOOO!" in disbelief is perfect 😂
Just went to comment about that scream and saw I already commented about it 2 years ago on a previous round of listening!
Arran Bradstock that’s hilarious 😂 I wish there were more of these
The noise he makes at 19:07 as well has me in stitches 🤣
Arran Bradstock Yeah-I subliminally must have used it in a reply above.
"oh yeah she didn't quite see the cyclist!......ahahahahahaaha" cracks me that bit
As a northerner, I absolutely love it when Ricky imitates a northern accent. I don't know why, but moments like 39:14 make me laugh so much!
"Karl, you better press the knob to start the record. . . . . . . . . Spunk."
