    I emailed swift springs personally and they said springs for the 2nd gen brz/86 are coming out within the next 2 months hopefully. Can't wait for that
    And yes! I'm mad about the 5x100 thing. I had two sets of wheels I ended up selling because I couldn't use them anymore

    I just got a 2022 BRZ limited, paid $30,460. I got it $1000 below sticker in CA . Don’t pay mark ups . I love my BRZ . Highly recommend the limited model it has suede seats , steering responsive headlights, metal pedals and a bunch more dope stuff

    My 2022 BRZ is not my daily but I'm already used to the turn signals.

  • @kuladeeluxe
    @kuladeeluxe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    My gripes are the horn, turn signals, blind spot visibility. I think the suspension compromise for the street is superb.The tire size (Pilot sports) have great feel and grip. The only thing I think I will mod is the gas pedal. I have modded all the cars I have owned for the past 30 years.

    • @austinalaniz5902
      @austinalaniz5902 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree, I can understand if you buy the premium model the tires are skinny and I’m guessing that’s the model he’s referring to. But seriously the turn signal is my biggest negative and the horn is just embarrassing.

      I got my BRZ for MSRP from Sewell Subaru in DFW. If a BRZ is not MSRP report them to Subaru. If you want a GR86 good luck I give up on Toyota. I was considering a Supra. Even if I ordered it online massive markup. Was considering the GR Corolla after that its being marked up insanely for even the BASE model. Toyota can sit and spin on all their cars right now. Seriously I even had a crappy daily driver corolla to trade in. NO DICE. NFG. Toyota can F off as far as I'm concerned. They shouldn't be able to put the price MSRP they should have to put what all the dealers are selling them for. -_-

    Is it engine noise through speakers? From the videos I've seen it appears to be a tube that pipes engine noise into the cabin, not a speaker. Which is it?

    • @jonathankoch8654
      @jonathankoch8654 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's through the speakers, I disabled mine and it did improve the quality of the sound from the speakers a little bit. also if you disable the engine sound from the speaker it does make it really hard to hear the engine if you have music even a bit loud. like 18/30 loud

    I bought my BRZ because it is fine the way it is and I have no desire to modify anything on it. I see so many badly modified cars that drive like complete crap. Pretty sure many car mods are mainly just a way to separate fools from their money.

    Yeah, it is manageable to get a car down to MSRP. People have to use their buying power and just not pay more than that....period. Those that are sheeping out and paying mark-ups are the ones that are supporting dealer greed and abuse of car buyers. We have all the power, we need to use it.

    Saying a 5x100 lug pattern is a con is pretty stupid…nothing wrong with it and if it is an issue get spacers that change lug pattern.

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The issue is that not many enthusiast cars are 5x100, even the WRX/STI changed to 5x114. With this car being built for track use spacers are not ideal either.

    • @BobbyB910
      @BobbyB910 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@maperformance if you are building the car for track use changing stock hubs would be a smart thing to do anyway while everything is taken apart for brakes/suspension upgrades…..still comes down to more of a preference for wheel choice I’ve personally raced on 5x100 17” 285/35 rode great on track and off

    Your comments on the 5x100 bolt pattern are beyond strange, and it's almost like you don't know much about cars and we shouldn't take you seriously.
    Subaru have used 5x100 for the last 20 years and it's also common on Toyotas and VWs. It's well supported by many wheel brands and not even close to being a hinderance.

    • @maperformance
      @maperformance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's more annoying than a true issue. Most of our shop cars are 5x114.3, so it would be fun to be able to swap different wheels from all the cars to change it up!

    • @mrb0bd0balina
      @mrb0bd0balina 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, not a big issue but like myself I could share wheel tyre set ups with my other 5x114.3 cars which would have been a bonus.

      We had a personal connection with someone at the dealer and were able to get it for MSRP. Some dealers will not sell a car for over sticker, though that is getting harder and harder to find. Be patient and widen your search and you should be able to find something at MSRP. Good luck!
