dude, killed it! i got to hit the Hot Metal today. I have a set of MP33's that i still play but I'm not the same golfer I used to be. Thinking of ordering a combo set of 4 & 5 HM, 6-8 Forged and 9-P in the Tour. The HM are too strong to blend in but I'm sure I can get those adjusted to work.
That probably explains why I couldn't place your accent. To an English ear, the Canadian accent sounds to be a mixture of American and Scottish, which can be very confusing. I hope that your TH-cam channel goes well.
Good review. I don't think the MP-18 GrainFlow HD feels anywhere near as good as the MP series of days gone by such as the MP-69, 64, etc.. So if these 919 Tours feel like that then I wouldn't be a buyer.
This is true. Mizunos patent on their forging expired, so they invented "HD", which feels more hard or solid, but not as soft. I have MP68 and MP 69 and MP 18 , and the 68/ 69 is much more softer feel than the Mp 18's. Still good, but you are correct nothing compares to those older MP's.
majorsmythe1 I still have a set of 33's I play and just started to think about other MB offerings. Who else is making muscle-back blades which feel like the Miz's of old?
Todd Manley Anything forged by Endo of Japan will have a great soft impact feel.. That includes Bridgestone, Srixon, Callaway X-Forged '18 and The new MB's '18 from Callaway. Also Epon is the Endo in house brand. All the aforementioned clubs are extremely soft. Tiger's Nike's were NOT forged by Miura, but rather Endo. It's documented by his personal builder at the famed Oven. This link goes into great detail on everything I mentioned above: mygolfspy.com/epon-golf-clubs-japan-2018/.
That's hard to find, , the older Mizzys are great. Yes anything Endo forged is soft, Titleist 716 CB was Endo forged. Srixon is soft, and the Callaway MB I found to be soft too. I never found the Miura to be as soft as mizzy and in fact the new Mizzy seem to feel like Miura. Anyway, Sad to think Mizzy wont make irons like they used to. Still good, but this HD method is NOT as soft as their earlier models.
I’ve watched thousands of golf club reviews over the years and this was excellent
Good first effort. Enjoyed the "technical aspects" vs trackman numbers. Everyone is unique and should be fitted.
Great job on your first review! :D
