Widowmaker is actually a rather tragic character, her given name is Amelie Lacroix and she was married to Gerard Lacroix who was an Overwatch Agent. Talon kidnapped Amelie and basically brainwashed and reprogrammed her to turn her into a sleeper agent. Which she then killed her own husband Gerard after Overwatch 'saved' her from Talon. After she killed Gerard she returned to talon and got further training and conditioning and alteration becoming the elite sniper assassin that she is now. Its really interesting since there seems to elements of her that realize she's at odds with what she does at times. Like she still seems to care about Gerard despite him being dead. As one of her ingame quotes when a character mentions her husband. Her response is "You don't know ANYTHING about him!"(Also she apparently as shown by one Overwatch Comic leaves flowers at his grave.) Which makes you wonder if there is the possibility she might ever be free of Talon's Brainwashing or if she is theirs forevermore.
Okay so there was a reason we liked her. She seems pretty fascinating and everything we are hearing from people that are giving us info on her backstory just continues to make her more fascinating 😃

No, at the part where you guys thought the robot dude “sacrificed” himself, tracer(the sporty girl) didn’t know the robot was behind her. So she saved herself without knowing she killed the robot dude when she reversed time. It’s because the purple girl is brainwashed to be a deadly assassin, so she probably predicted that tracer was gonna do that

I think that moment encapsulate the meaning of the character in the game too, where if you hit a headshot it will be a secured kill in the 80% of the times, so... The point of "if you are good enough, you will have at least one kill", like here where she "will win happens whatever happens"... It's definitely the meaning of the character and it had to be a great motivation to the people who played her when the trailer came out 😅 A hard one too, that's for sure anyway.. I think Widow made the shot doubly sure that Tracer would dodge the bullet, but also if she didn't the bullet might go through her or at the very least let her take another shot. But yeah I love that part goes to show how good of an assassin she is but also how tactical she can be. Tracer got outplayed :P

I literally check your channel every day to see if you have a new OW reaction. I love your other content as well! Widowmaker has a very interesting backstory that isn't covered in the cinematic shorts. She was closely tied to Overwatch, the wife of one of the "good guys" but she was kidnapped and brainwashed and became a ruthless killer and killed her husband. Her blue skin is because her conditioning including altering her breathing so she breathes less to improve her ability as a sniper. Tracer's origin story video explains her powers a bit better.

You need very fast reaction time to fight a tracer and good aim to counter widowmaker. That device on tracer's chest is something that keeps her anchored to the present while being to control her own time.
To give you the reason why her skin and hair are blue, it is due to all of the conditioning and alteration made on her body. By the time she came back to Talon after killing her husband, her physiology was altered, drastically slowing her heartbeat which turned her skin cold and blue and also removed her ability to feel human emotion (and tbf her psyche was most definitely already pretty damaged due to all of the brainwashing and reprogramming, which consists in extreme and cold-blooded torture; thus the reason why Widowmaker's origin story video/cinematic hasn't been made - it would've been far too dark for the audience). I worked at first, since she killed her husband without hesitation. But it seems that overtime, Amélie is slowly coming back. The one that worked on her forced transformation would possibly be Moira -a heartless scientist who gives no care about her patients so long as the experiment reaches an end- and here's why: There is two ingame dialogues between Moira and Widowmaker thus far: "Moira: How are you feeling, Lacroix? Widowmaker: I don't feel. That's the point, isn't it?" "Widowmaker: Our foes make such a nuisance of themselves. Moira: Is that an emotion I detect, Lacroix?" There are also many hints that have been added to the game over the years that show Widowmaker is gaining back more and more emotions, which could be very interesting for her character developement when Overwatch 2 will be released, such as her rehashing the past.

Tracer cam only control "time" for herself. If you watch her origin you'll know why. It keeps her from disappearing and appearing again. And she acted like "wow, I survived" because she didn't know if she reversed in time. Everyone has that reaction not knowing if they survived or not from certain death, you know.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Tracer was an Ace Pilot in Overwatch, and was the test pilot of a new aircraft called the slipstream, it malfunctioned causing her to fade in and out of her time, Winston made the chrono accelerator that she wears on her chest as a way to anchor her to the present and allowing her to speed up time for her self in blinks or rewind time for herself, there's a short where it gets destroyed causing her to fade in and out again.
The robot was not controling it, and she can't control time, just her place in it, she can reverse her own movements but time doesn't reverse with her. And i feel it was her controlling her teleport at the end, it was more a 'holy shit did i dodge that' reflex.
Tracer had no choice but to recall herself (rewind) which Widowmaker took advantage of (she knew Tracer would do this) and purposely shot through her device that allows her to rewind herself (to the last point she was at before falling). This was really smart on her end.
I remember seeing this trailer for the first time and rolling my eyes thinking "Of course the good guy is going to win" and then seeing it play out put the biggest smile on my face. Been in love with Widowmaker's character ever since.

Ok So the Sporty Girl is Lena Oxton AKA Tracer. She was a pilot but when she was doing the trial run of a new state-of-art Stealth Jet something went wrong and she vanished. Turns out she was bouncing around space-time, think the Quantum Realm sort-of, without any control over it until Winston came up with the Chronal Accelerator, the device on her chest, which keeps her anchored in the here-and-now, with some ability to manipulate her own place in the timeline. So no full time-travell power or anything. The Main Character here is Widowmaker, the top Assassin for the terrorist group Talon, which Reaper the smoky guy you say in Recall is one of the Leaders of. She was Originally a normal woman named Amelie, who had the misfortune to be married to a top Overwatch Agent named Gerard. Talon kidnapped her and turned her into a sleeper agents, which they had kill her husband, before doing other operations on her, hence why she's all blue.
She can only affect herself and she didn't realize she was set up right in line of a snipe she was just trying to get away and her selfishness resulted in the assassination succeeding.
Late to the party, but if you are unsure of what Widowmaker said to Tracer when she is grabbed by the collar she said: "Adieu Cherie" which is a way of saying Goodbye Sweetheart, Darling or Dear. This is ironic since Tracer always uses the word 'Love' as a term of endearment.
Tracer can only control herself trough time. She can reverse and accelerate her own time but cannot affect the actual timeline. After she gets hit with the smoke and widow points her gun at her, she reverses her time. When she re-appears the smoke is still in the air and widow had her gun pointed to the ground.
Tracer has ability to randomly jump throgh time, she can't control it and her life without this device on her chest is a nightmare. And this trinket make her control this ability. So it was her choise to make timeshift to save this device and don't be lost in endless time travel again.
The assassin is known as Widowmaker for a reason :) The organization she works for is known as Talon (the antithesis of Overwatch, sort of like COBRA from GI Joe :P), and they have several bad guys on their payroll such as Reaper, Sigma, and Moira. Others in the comments have accurately described her :) The Omnic speaker was Tekhartha Mondatta, a pacifist who led a group of his fellow robots to the Himalayas and created a monastery there. He built an order of robot monks and worked to create peace between humans and omnics after the terrible Omnic Crisis (a war that happened several years prior). His brother, Tekhartha Zenyatta, is a playable character who isn't officially a member of Overwatch but he works with them as their goals align with his of bringing peace between humans and omnics. Now you know why Talon might have an interest in killing Mondatta :P Tracer is also in the official cinematic trailer (which I believe is next in the timeline) and was the victim of an accident involving an experimental teleporting fighter plane that she was piloting. The jet disappeared with her in it, and then months later she reappeared, but was changed (she ended up kind of like Ghost from Ant-Man) where she had been desynchronized from the flow of time. It wasn't until Winston built her a chronal accelerator (the glowy thing on her chest) that she was able to stabilize and remain physically rooted in our timeframe. It also gives her the ability to control her own personal time, allowing her to flash forward quickly, giving her the appearance of teleporting, and also allowing her to completely rewind her own time a few moments to avoid an unfortunate outcome (like she did on the roof after she triggered the venom mine, she rewound and avoided it on the next run through). Tracer didn't know that Mondatta was behind her when she blinked away to avoid the shot, Widowmaker is just THAT good that she lined up the shot so that she'd get either one or the other. When she reappeared she was checking herself to see if she actually got away from that shot. Tracer can only control her own time, not anyone else's. The thing to remember is that all of the heroes in the game are not either a part of Overwatch or of Talon. Some are in it for themselves like Roadhog and Junkrat, some are affiliated with other groups, like Ashe and her Deadlock Rebels gang, and others who work for private corporations, like Pharah who is affiliated with Helix Security, and Symmetra who works for the Vishkar Corporation.
Do more overwatch!! There’s a few more, do Reunion, then Honor and Glory, then Dragons, then zero hour. Reunion is eh but the others are so good! So excited to see your guy’s reactions!
The machine is controllable by tracer herself to a degree. Its limited to herself and for extremely short durations. The reason why is the machine is primarily to stabilize herself as she will slip through time uncontrollably without it.
she can change time only for her but not for the others... and she was surprice after coming back because the bulet was soo close to hit her... and everyting happen soo fast! she reverse time by reflex..
British chick (T.racer) she has some problems with time-space continuum she is doing randomly time jumpings and teleportations but that machine in her chest keeping her stable and control that ability of her. French chcik (Widow Maker) her husband was OW agent and enemies of OW(Talon) kidnapped her and used some intense neural programming. Broke her will, supressed personality and made her sleeper agent. When OW agents found her she killed her husband and returned to Talon then Talon slowed her heartbeat this made her turn blue and cant feel human emotions. She is perfect assasian now

her power don t make other go back in time only herself, it s more like she can go back where she was a little bit before instantly. but it doesn t affect anyone but her. for exemple in game she can put a grenade at your feet and desappear in front of you and reappear where she was 20 seconde before regaining the physical condition she was at this moment, for exemple if someone shoot her during this 20 seconds it will make the injury and the bullet diseappear.
Tracers ability is speed moving fast and what have you but another ability is to project her self back in a specific spot within a certain amount of time, like she can go back where she was ten seconds ago without altering time it self I think at least that was my interpretation of her abilities.
I have to leave one thing to the Black Widow, she has style and she is a sexy villain .. but she doesn't have a Tracer..with her cute voice and laughter

Im not sure but widowmaker was married to someone but i dont really remember i think widowmaker killed her husband but im not sure i heard it years ago
Tracer (teleport girl) uses the device on her chest to "maintain her Chrono position" which translates to "only thing keeping her rooted in this time and place. If the device is removed she is like a ghost bouncing around time itself. So she needs it to live. However since it manipulatites her being rooted to the time line she "turns it off" and blips through time which appears like teleporting. This also is why when she manipulates time only she is affected. She is turning her own timeline on and off.
her power was not reverse time, just reverse or forward her position(looks like super speed, but just fast dashes. Note how fast she went up the stairs, and dashed off the roof to avoid explosion). I think you will enjoy honor and glory very much.
To make a long story short, Tracer's control on time only works on herself, power wise, she's basically The Flash from DC but with guns, about the air scene, my take is that she reacted on reflex that's why she seemed surprised and finally the robot guy the sniper killed is scenically Gandhi bot, who wanted a world without discrimination between people and sentient robots

I think the original overwatch reveal trailer should have been before this animated short. Its a pretty good trailer and explains why Tracer asked Widowmaker if she was trying to crash another party.

The one that worked on her forced transformation would possibly be Moira -a heartless scientist who gives no care about her patients so long as the experiment reaches an end- and here's why:
There is two ingame dialogues between Moira and Widowmaker thus far:
"Moira: How are you feeling, Lacroix?
Widowmaker: I don't feel. That's the point, isn't it?"
"Widowmaker: Our foes make such a nuisance of themselves.
Moira: Is that an emotion I detect, Lacroix?"
There are also many hints that have been added to the game over the years that show Widowmaker is gaining back more and more emotions, which could be very interesting for her character developement when Overwatch 2 will be released, such as her rehashing the past.

Tracer cam only control "time" for herself. If you watch her origin you'll know why. It keeps her from disappearing and appearing again. And she acted like "wow, I survived" because she didn't know if she reversed in time. Everyone has that reaction not knowing if they survived or not from certain death, you know.
True. She was checking to see if that bullet hit or not. To us it was slow motion but for her it happened in an instant 😃🙃
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Tracer was an Ace Pilot in Overwatch, and was the test pilot of a new aircraft called the slipstream, it malfunctioned causing her to fade in and out of her time, Winston made the chrono accelerator that she wears on her chest as a way to anchor her to the present and allowing her to speed up time for her self in blinks or rewind time for herself, there's a short where it gets destroyed causing her to fade in and out again.

The robot was not controling it, and she can't control time, just her place in it, she can reverse her own movements but time doesn't reverse with her. And i feel it was her controlling her teleport at the end, it was more a 'holy shit did i dodge that' reflex.

Tracer had no choice but to recall herself (rewind) which Widowmaker took advantage of (she knew Tracer would do this) and purposely shot through her device that allows her to rewind herself (to the last point she was at before falling). This was really smart on her end.

I remember seeing this trailer for the first time and rolling my eyes thinking "Of course the good guy is going to win" and then seeing it play out put the biggest smile on my face. Been in love with Widowmaker's character ever since.

Ok So the Sporty Girl is Lena Oxton AKA Tracer. She was a pilot but when she was doing the trial run of a new state-of-art Stealth Jet something went wrong and she vanished. Turns out she was bouncing around space-time, think the Quantum Realm sort-of, without any control over it until Winston came up with the Chronal Accelerator, the device on her chest, which keeps her anchored in the here-and-now, with some ability to manipulate her own place in the timeline. So no full time-travell power or anything.
The Main Character here is Widowmaker, the top Assassin for the terrorist group Talon, which Reaper the smoky guy you say in Recall is one of the Leaders of. She was Originally a normal woman named Amelie, who had the misfortune to be married to a top Overwatch Agent named Gerard. Talon kidnapped her and turned her into a sleeper agents, which they had kill her husband, before doing other operations on her, hence why she's all blue.

Late to the party, but if you are unsure of what Widowmaker said to Tracer when she is grabbed by the collar she said: "Adieu Cherie" which is a way of saying Goodbye Sweetheart, Darling or Dear. This is ironic since Tracer always uses the word 'Love' as a term of endearment.

Tracer can only control herself trough time. She can reverse and accelerate her own time but cannot affect the actual timeline. After she gets hit with the smoke and widow points her gun at her, she reverses her time. When she re-appears the smoke is still in the air and widow had her gun pointed to the ground.

Tracer has ability to randomly jump throgh time, she can't control it and her life without this device on her chest is a nightmare. And this trinket make her control this ability. So it was her choise to make timeshift to save this device and don't be lost in endless time travel again.
The assassin is known as Widowmaker for a reason :) The organization she works for is known as Talon (the antithesis of Overwatch, sort of like COBRA from GI Joe :P), and they have several bad guys on their payroll such as Reaper, Sigma, and Moira. Others in the comments have accurately described her :)
The Omnic speaker was Tekhartha Mondatta, a pacifist who led a group of his fellow robots to the Himalayas and created a monastery there. He built an order of robot monks and worked to create peace between humans and omnics after the terrible Omnic Crisis (a war that happened several years prior). His brother, Tekhartha Zenyatta, is a playable character who isn't officially a member of Overwatch but he works with them as their goals align with his of bringing peace between humans and omnics. Now you know why Talon might have an interest in killing Mondatta :P
Tracer is also in the official cinematic trailer (which I believe is next in the timeline) and was the victim of an accident involving an experimental teleporting fighter plane that she was piloting. The jet disappeared with her in it, and then months later she reappeared, but was changed (she ended up kind of like Ghost from Ant-Man) where she had been desynchronized from the flow of time. It wasn't until Winston built her a chronal accelerator (the glowy thing on her chest) that she was able to stabilize and remain physically rooted in our timeframe. It also gives her the ability to control her own personal time, allowing her to flash forward quickly, giving her the appearance of teleporting, and also allowing her to completely rewind her own time a few moments to avoid an unfortunate outcome (like she did on the roof after she triggered the venom mine, she rewound and avoided it on the next run through).
Tracer didn't know that Mondatta was behind her when she blinked away to avoid the shot, Widowmaker is just THAT good that she lined up the shot so that she'd get either one or the other. When she reappeared she was checking herself to see if she actually got away from that shot. Tracer can only control her own time, not anyone else's.
The thing to remember is that all of the heroes in the game are not either a part of Overwatch or of Talon. Some are in it for themselves like Roadhog and Junkrat, some are affiliated with other groups, like Ashe and her Deadlock Rebels gang, and others who work for private corporations, like Pharah who is affiliated with Helix Security, and Symmetra who works for the Vishkar Corporation.

The machine is controllable by tracer herself to a degree. Its limited to herself and for extremely short durations. The reason why is the machine is primarily to stabilize herself as she will slip through time uncontrollably without it.

British chick (T.racer) she has some problems with time-space continuum she is doing randomly time jumpings and teleportations but that machine in her chest keeping her stable and control that ability of her.
French chcik (Widow Maker) her husband was OW agent and enemies of OW(Talon) kidnapped her and used some intense neural programming. Broke her will, supressed personality and made her sleeper agent. When OW agents found her she killed her husband and returned to Talon then Talon slowed her heartbeat this made her turn blue and cant feel human emotions. She is perfect assasian now

her power don t make other go back in time only herself, it s more like she can go back where she was a little bit before instantly. but it doesn t affect anyone but her.
for exemple in game she can put a grenade at your feet and desappear in front of you and reappear where she was 20 seconde before regaining the physical condition she was at this moment, for exemple if someone shoot her during this 20 seconds it will make the injury and the bullet diseappear.

Tracers ability is speed moving fast and what have you but another ability is to project her self back in a specific spot within a certain amount of time, like she can go back where she was ten seconds ago without altering time it self I think at least that was my interpretation of her abilities.

Tracer (teleport girl) uses the device on her chest to "maintain her Chrono position" which translates to "only thing keeping her rooted in this time and place. If the device is removed she is like a ghost bouncing around time itself. So she needs it to live. However since it manipulatites her being rooted to the time line she "turns it off" and blips through time which appears like teleporting. This also is why when she manipulates time only she is affected. She is turning her own timeline on and off.

her power was not reverse time, just reverse or forward her position(looks like super speed, but just fast dashes. Note how fast she went up the stairs, and dashed off the roof to avoid explosion). I think you will enjoy honor and glory very much.

To make a long story short, Tracer's control on time only works on herself, power wise, she's basically The Flash from DC but with guns, about the air scene, my take is that she reacted on reflex that's why she seemed surprised and finally the robot guy the sniper killed is scenically Gandhi bot, who wanted a world without discrimination between people and sentient robots

I think the original overwatch reveal trailer should have been before this animated short. Its a pretty good trailer and explains why Tracer asked Widowmaker if she was trying to crash another party.
