  • What's up guys! So I decided to do a bleach wash on my already extremely damaged hair to try and remove all the leftover yellow and orange tones I had leftover from my previously red hair.
I took extra steps to help prevent further breakage, and here listed are all the products I used :)
Age Beautiful Powder Lightener - www.sallybeauty.com/hair/ultr...
    Age Beautiful Developer - www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair...
Joico Defy Damage Shampoo - www.ulta.com/defy-damage-prot...
Ardell Red Gold Corrector Drops - www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair...
    Olaplex No1(Traveling Stylist Kit) - www.walmart.com/ip/Olaplex-Tr...

The reason bleach baths are done on wet hair is because the water dilutes the bleach. The shampoo helps dilute the mixture and strip the hair as well. Just an FYI. It came out really great! 👏🏼

A good comparison i heard from a hair dresser. Standard bleach should have the consistency of toothpaste where as a black wash about the consistency of pudding! Hope that helps you reach the perfect consistency each time ♡ I just subbed to you!

If you are reading this, love the results. I melted my hair bc of trying to get red out years ago and unrefined coconut oil SAVED my hair. It took it from porous straw that took over a day to dry naturally to soft and very damage, dry time, natural, 6 hours in about 2 weeks to a month. Then once it grew out enough I just started fresh and chopped it all off. Prior to that, while it was growing I did put veggie dye on it to also fill in the hair shaft that was totally stripped of keratin. Basically I denatured my hair XD...so uh fully stripped it of keratin. So if you start noticing straw hair and long natural dry times, use coconut oil, unrefined and keratin treatments.

oh and coconut oil, unrefined, repairs keratin in your hair. :) so it repairs bonds.

Coconut oil does wonders. Works for me better than any product I’ve ever bought that hair dressers recommend. I’ve come to the realization no matter how many times i bleach my hair it will be fine as long as I slather it in coconut oil before and after

I just wanted to clear up some very common misconceptions, which can do more damage than good. Coconut oil does not contain protein; therefore, it can't repair broken protein bonds, or repair damage. There are currently studies that show some evidence that coconut oil may prevent existing protein loss, but it most definitely cannot add protein. It's easy for people to believe that coconut oil is repairing damage due to hair being softer, shinier, moisturised, more manageable, and drying faster. What's actually happening is the oil is filling every empty nook and cranny, while temporarily smoothing the cuticle. While this might seem like a good thing, it's actually quite the opposite. The fact that coconut oil is not water soluable, means it can cause further damage to already damaged hair. It will cause your hair to become dehydrated and malnourished by blocking water, proteins and amino acids that are necessary to help rebuild broken bonds and maintain healthy hair strands. The reason hair dries faster is due the water being displaced by the oil. Hair dries a lot faster when the hair hasn't absorbed any water, which means over time, your hair is going to start looking very lifeless. Coconut oil does not hydrate or moosturise. If it's used last and very sparingly, after using hydrating serums and humectants, it can be used to lock in moisture and nutrients. It shouldn't ever be used in place of. If applied to the scalp, it can actually cause your hair to fall out over prolonged use. Out of all the oils, coconut oil is the most comedogenic of then all! Over time, it can suffocate and kill hair follicles, causing permanent hair loss. It is also guaranteed to cause acne. The other thing I wanted to point out is that vegetable hair dye can't cause hair to denaturalize. It is incapable of penetrating the cuticle.

Yes! Coconut oil is one of the worst oils for hair. Temporary solution, hell yea. But to maintain/ repair hair health, TERRIBLE!! I recommend almond oil! Or almost any other hair treatment out there.
