    I wanted to darken my platinum blonde just a bit, so I dyed it a darker blonde and turned it gray🤦 but followed your instructions this morning and turned it such a perfect sunny, honey-blonde, and I am absolutely giddy about it! Thank you for this excellent tutorial! I appreciated seeing how a professional applies it, too. Such great tips!

    Hands down best bleach bath tutorial I’ve watched yet! I have a question. Is it possible to utilize the ion “perfect white” creme bleach, instead of a powder bleach, in the bleach bath mixture? Also I’m looking to lighten ash toned hair, do I have to worry about it turning purple or blue during the bathing process as it removes the previous ash toner?

    • @jesshonolulu
      @jesshonolulu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you for the feedback! I think using a creme bleach would be fine with the bleach bath mixture. Most likely it won't turn purple or blue when lifting. Usually when we lift our hair it will lean more towards warmer tones. If you are using it just to remove toner and are worried that it may turn too warm-- there are other ways that are less riskier. Malibu CPR is a great product to use at home that can strip toner out without the risk of bumping your base color.

    I'm about to have to do a review for a light blonde toner and my base color is close to yours. Maybe a bit more red due to a couple of red dye jobs since covid. I've already been told that a soap cap is best to lighten so my question is this. I've been considering stripping my hair with dish soap 1st at least once to give my hair better odds. Does this sound like a good idea?

    I dont have a toner on my hair but I've got chestnut medium brown hair with grown out dark roots (last time I dyed my hair was 6 months ago) and I really want to do this to lighten my hair a little bit like its lightened by the sun. I have the same exact bleach and developers at home but i dont know which one would suit me better, a 10 or 20 volume developer? How long did you leave the bleach wash in your hair? And last but not least Im currently 11 weeks pregnant and I wonder if it would be harmful to do this while pregnant?

    • @jesshonolulu
      @jesshonolulu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would check with your baby doctor if it’s ok to color your hair at this time. Every doctor has different preferences. I typically do use bleach on my pregnant clients only if it’s in foils and not at all touching their scalp.
      I think doing this process on your own esp. on the roots is risky! Our roots lift fast and can become very brassy and patchy fast. If you really want to do it I would use the lowest volume possible. Though I I highly suggest to see a professional. I would be sad if your pretty hair becomes ruined.

    • @jesshonolulu
      @jesshonolulu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you feel like 9nb and 9v toned your hair too dark then I think using a level 10 is a good idea. 10 vv can give the hair a very ashy tone so mixing it what 9n would help to balance that out better. You can also try to leave it on for less time than the instructed 20 mins. For my clients that like to stay bright I leave it on for 5-10 mins.

    I toned my hair the wrong color.. Idk what to do. I hate it. I read that if I use clarifying shampoo that it will wash out quicker. Is this true or can I do a quick bleach bath to get it? Will my hair ever go back to the way it was??
    I got highlights in January. Will that bleach bath completely even out my hair? I still want my highlights. I just wanted my hair to be a bit lighter which is why I grabbed toner.
    My friend is in cosmetology school. She used a pale beige blonde toner with 20V developer. My hair was my natural hair color with bleached blonde highlights/balayage. My stylist said she used a mix technique. My natural hair color was basically a natural balayage. Light ash blonde at the roots and a very light blonde on the ends. All my stylist did was lighten it up with her balayage/highlight technique
    I only wanted the all over color to lighten up a smidge.

    • @jesshonolulu
      @jesshonolulu  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a great question! It’s something I learned in beauty school. We called it a bleach wash. I’m not sure why “chemically” it helps but It does help to thin out the bleach and make it easy and fast to apply to the hair. It also makes the bleach less strong which is what we want in some cases.

    • @jesshonolulu

      There is a chance that it will lift your roots and base color. The other method you mentioned also lifts the roots based on what my clients have told me. I’ve had to color correct people who have used the baking soda method. Everyone’s hair reacts differently so it’s hard to say.
      I think the safest route is to use a hair detoxifying shampoo 2 times a day till it comes out or Malibu CPR color pigment remover.
