    Great video, subscribed. I just got back into RC after a 17 year hiatus. Already building a track on the property.

    I bought my sledge a few days ago and to see that a professional driver like you also speak and get such good results on track makes me very happy it is a great rc at the height of any competition buggy I would love to hear from you.

    Hey guy. It's super nice to see a video from a guy that is into racing. 'specially when it comes to Traxxas, and I think you gotta good thing going, where you can show guys how to race a 'basher'
    I'm an old school associated pan car guy...running laps in a tri-oval on carpet, before brushless.
    Currently got back into the scene with a b64.....running on carpet when baby, it's cold outside....lol. Keep it real, love what you're doing and don't stop

      Thanks man! It was pretty fun running with the "real" truggys with my basher traxxas and not making a complete fool of myself lol Thanks for the view!

    its awesome to see someone converting these into racing rigs. I love the idea that you don't need to buy a tlr or associated to be competitive, super curious to see you race it!

    Congratulations on winning 4th place overall on your first outing with it. The Sledge can definitely hold its own against the competition truggies. A guy brought his Sledge to our race at Adrenaline RC Raceway and he was on pace with the regular fast guys in truggy at our track.

    I ordered a Sledge a couple days ago. I'm a complete NooB. First adult spec RC...this is gonna be interesting. I bought this as a basher and a buddy is building a backyard track. If I find a club it might be fun to try racing this. I've heard people talk about putting O-rings in the cups the axles go in to, have you seen this? I'd love to see a quick video. Are you going to mess with shock oil weight?

    • @snufalupaghus

    • @TylerPotterRC
      @TylerPotterRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your Sledge is a more recent one it will already have the rear o-rings installed. It was only the really early 1st order of them that were missing o-rings. It sounds like the buddy's track will be an awesome place to play! Thanks for the view!

    I raced the Sledge since it was released earlier in the year about twice a month. I'll share my setup with you later on.

    • @damronatkins1542
      @damronatkins1542 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Basics below. I've fine tuned it since this setup.
      Diffs: 20k/15k/7k
      Shocks
      I started with the 1.3 pistons front and rear and added six 0.8mm holes to each piston. I opened up one of the 1.3 holds to 1.4. It has 50/45 wt. It feels planted compared to the stock pistons which are over damped in my opinion. I may go up 5 wt ft/rr as it feels a little light.
      - Going to the light springs in the back helps add a little rear bite on acceleration.
      Gearing: 16/52
      Sway bars: Front (yellow), Rear (green)
      Bruggy body and race tires/wheels
      Remove center brace, no issues with this.
      Remove rear side chassis braces to add rear traction/flex

      Honestly it has been pretty fun racing a non typical underdog and doing pretty well! Had a few people come up and ask what it is since you can't really tell with the new body and they are all blown away when I say Traxxas. Yes I know it would never be competitive at a larger national level race but locally it really seems to hold it's own. Thanks for the view!
