    I had the o ring issue on my truck but it was an easy fix. I borrowed some rubber gas line and made my own hose lol. other than that, I've beat the snot out of my sledge and only had 2 things give on it. I broke a steering block when I lost a fight with a tree at just the right angle, and I let my sister drive it and she did a cyclone an a small grub screw came out in the rear drive shaft. love this truck so much, definitely worth the investment!

    My biggest issue is the front shocks. I've broken 3 sets already, the stock ones bend and the aftermarket ones they unscrew and strip the threads

    I have a lot of fun with my Sledge, but I have already stripped 2 screws (the pinion grub screw being one of them), had a nut pop off from driving around a bit, broke a suspension arm on a 10ft jump, gotten body damage in the front from a stick, battery popped out after a flip and cracked the holder, so now the battery is only secured on one side. I like this truck a lot but it feels like anything beyond racing around in a field, driving in a parking lot, or taking mild jumps is abusing it. I have done a lot of flips and had some bad landings where it held up but it feels very risky and potentially damaging to the truck.

    Yes the first thing u do before u run this truck change the spur gear to a better metal an esc no good, I put a firma in mine an ac7 servo, I also changed my motor to 2200 4274 hobbywing, a pure beast

  • @bassbro1

    There isn't anything that needs fixed straight out of the box. Just because a few people had problems with something does not mean it is this major problem. The only thing to really address that you didn't was the steering servo. Checking screw tightness is a regular maintenance thing. The o-ring could be considered a might, but not a must. A bumper? Really!?This is a truggy. Truggies do not have bumpers. If you are going to smack it in the nose repeatedly...make one. The Traxxas esc has always been a "thing". Nothing is wrong with the esc. You want more power change batteries and gears. Esc really doesn't do much with power anyway. This sounds like a list of possible greavances, but not problems.

  • @Jjsuhs7
    @Jjsuhs7 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don’t have any of these issues. The only issue I had but traxxas sent me a free replacement was the rear coil spring was short on one of the shocks.

    Hi so pissed got this car super excited. Played with this truck twice. Now…… Spur gear keeps grinding its teeth. I took it back to my local hobby shop. Guess what they can do shxx… They did swap out my gears. Also added locktight. Had to wait 24 hrs so I did to make sure the glue cued. Again super excited flying in traffic to get home to play with this truck. Soon as I took off I heard a grinding crunchy sound. Yup … you guess it spur gear teeth chipped. Oh and let’s throw this out there. Kennasaw, Ga hobby town USA don’t have part on hand. It’s hard to find in Atlanta for a same day replace. I’m so upset with Traxxas and I’m taking it back again. I think I should have got a Kraton. I also have a Rustler and it’s more dependable than this.

    • @RCPropaganda
      @RCPropaganda  ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel ya man. Its traxxas's fault for using cheap metal for the gears. If your into this hobby it is just part of. Kraton is good but can break as well. Unless you baby ther trucks they will break until you upgrade them enough. Sorry you had the problems but if you get the right gears the Sledge is fun truck.

    If you don't break it every time you bash it you're doing it wrong..... That said.... Traxxas quality control has gone to S$$T on the Sledge. $900 for a vehicle that you pretty much have to take COMPLETELY apart and make sure every metal part has loctite, the diffs have oil, the shocks have oil, and everything has the correct spacers to avoid slop. AND the spur gear is made from cheap quality chinese monkey metal..... no, thanks. If I wanna do that, I'll buy a kit from Losi or Tamiya. it's FAR cheaper, and less time consuming. I've heard from so many RC friends that bought this $900 mistake called the Sledge that I won't be wasting my time. I bought the Maxx V2 instead and haven't had a single problem; and I bash the Hell out of it daily. The only thing that broke was a lower control arm and that was MY stupid mistake. Lol. Other than that, keep up the great work and reviews. And Bash on!!
