I was thinking about making my sledge faster but I decided it was fast enough in stock form for what it is especially after seeing this video I don’t think I’ll be trying for 100mph speed runs with my sledge as I think I will choose a rc car more suitable for that purpose. that is very impressive speed with your sledge. Mine has been a fun car to bash around and it’s very fast in stock form. Cool video thx for sharing

I am going for 80. I have a speedtek rc spool in mine. I hit 65 with kraton copperheads on it. Have belted street tires showing tomorrow. Once weather is clear I want to hit 80. You made it look easy so when I hit 65 only I was like dang. Hope tires make a difference.

Back in the 80s, my brother had an rc truck from a hobby store. It was a 1/10th scale, rwd Mitsubishi Pajero by Tamiya. He had to assemble it; then buy the radio, battery and charger separately. It took the battery 12 hours to charge; and the truck ran for roughly 10 minutes. It had four speeds which were stop, slow, medium and fast. Speed was controlled be a big white ceramic resistor that would get really hot. The car in this video would literally run circles around that truck. 🤣😂😆

The radios were so bad back then too. When a car would go past, my RC10 Truck would dart in a random direction full throttle.

The Sound is much more different, than the Standard sledge...a bit like more "hitech" Sport charged. Amazing
The roof slides sound the worst, but are definitely best case (as long as it's not into a curb lol).

If you cracked the diff and filled it the diff should be fine and take it. I did the same with my Traxxas Maxx. Traxxas just doesn’t put any diff fluid in it from the factory. If it makes it easier, power hobby now makes a single 8s pack.
You can run a 26 pinion with a 46 spur that's the biggest you can get in there with out the reserve motor mount
If you run with the body off, it won't turn over. The body acts as a parachute to lift the car. And the Willy bar must be equipped unconditionally. With the current output, it seems that 160km/h is possible.

I’m putting a 8s on the sledge soon. So thanks for sharing that. So the 25tooth pinion gear can fit but not 34/34 because it’s too small. Only Erevo 2.0vxl can fit on 34/34 dam the sledge is this close to be faster then a Erevo but it’s faster and handles better then a erevo

I did not really got it, im german Native, but i Think u changed a lot, Minimum the 6s Regler u had to remove i Think, i have the "standard" sledge in orange too. They did not had it in blue and was bit dissapointed, but, now im glad because, now i know, i have the right one :DD

What is this spool you speak of?
Wouldn't having smaller tires be better because it's less roating mass the motors have to move ? The bigger they are the more drag too it puts on the car
But the diameter is smaller so it will drive physically slower, theirs not enough weight difference in the wheels to prevent the motor from spinning at its max with bigger tyres so no, he's done it for the tread and anti ballooning....

I'm running 8s on my sledge as well. What middle diff weight are you using? Mine keeps doing wheelies when I give it full throttle to do a speed run

I went 18/46 on my sledge and it stopped doing wheelies do you know why haha I like doing wheelies?
It's how gearing works, if you tune for top end you take torque from the lower end....

Gotta click on each one. Some are 12mm, 14mm or 17mm

I got a 12S kit on mine and I can get to about 109mph until the car is unstable it’s to big and it’s impossible to get faster
Also 2WD cars are just better for top speed and handling when going high MPH same principles apply to real cars
Need wings on that thing Gosh damn just for a video need to put wings on one and see if it will take flight it would break to shit on land but it would make for good video
