I love how passionate you are with this hobby and as such I think this is the best channel when comes to reviews! Very detailed and informative. Thanks!
Great to see the R383 replica. There aren't enough of proper round rims on the sim market and the genuine R383 is quite expensive. I have the Thrustmaster version of the same and it's by far my favorite rim.
@@johnathanmoyer2375 R330 is the one I'm thinking of getting. That said, I don't agree completely. At first glance a lot of round 330mm rims are the same, but these two have differences. Looks like R383 has a slight dish, might be a bit more ergonomic (for me) in the thumb area and lacks the finger grooves at 9, 12 and 3 o'clock. Does any of that actually matter is impossible to know without trying, though.

I know you need to maintain your relationship with them but I think the community needs to see that you’re on our side.
Even better - they could concentrate a little on customer service to keep customers. >4 weeks to reply to my request to return a product (and counting…). Buyer beware: it doesn’t seem that Fanatec cares after they’ve made a sale; if you have any problems it seems like you’re SOL despite what they say.
Sweet, it's great to see Fanatec releasing these new products - great overview, thanks! I have a Sparco R383 Champion leather, the real issue, on a Podium Hub and Endurance Button Module with the Podium shifters - works a treat, as long as you can ignore the unsightly hole in the middle (it's just charm!) - and the near complete lack of clearance to two of the buttons on top of the rim (they still work, just no gap underneath). The Rally module would change this altogether, making for a much better fit and cover the hole in the middle being on the front - but overall I'm still very happy with it. If only I was more into driving the regular cars/rally that this combo is designed for, lol - the leather grip and quality is sensational.
Really disappointed the wheel side QR2 hubs are not on sale as i was planning to use this sale to switch to QR2. Oh well, another time i guess since the shipping is also more for just the base side than what i paid for shipping the CSL DD and 2 wheels last summer...
Why can't Fanatec reward the faithful? We rewarded them with our business, and they shaft us. No credit to our accounts. No discounts to convert. So dissappointed that they just want to exploit us and profit from us and not reward us. They won't get any endorsements from me. I'll just recommend friends only buy during Black Friday sale because Fanatec won't appreciate you.

This is why I can't decide between Moza and Fanatec right now. I like what I see with the CS DD and CSL elite V2 pedals, but I prefer Moza's current wheels and pricing.
Agreed. Leather > Alcantara. Cheapest wheels use rubber, which will turn into putty that melts onto your hands. Next is Alcantara, which will also melt onto your hands. Finally, for the maximum premium, you have leather. It's all about lifetime endurance of the materials. You get what they charge for.

On one hand, the new Formula rim is an appealing shape, but it's still only 270mm which matches my F1 Formula rims and I really wish it was a GT-inspired 290mm size! (In saying that I've been using said 270mm F1 Formula rims to the point where maybe it'd be fine?)
@Petrolhead66 their new GT Zero v2 looks very interesting but at nearly €1000 with clutches that's a long way down the line for me after buying PC parts 🤣
Do you have plans to compare these replica rims with the genuine ones? I understand that they are cheaper because they don't need to be homologated, but they are not actually made by Sparco, that makes me wonder what the differences are in terms of material and build quality. I considered that rim but I personally didn't care for the Porsche logo and how not smooth the rim is at the 9 and 3 grip areas (no contour/curving). I got the Sparco GT instead. 310mm sounded like a decent sweet spot for an only wheel set up.

@@virtualawakening2299 Interesting, l only paid $25 for shipping but it will take almost 20 days or so. There was the $200 shipping option but I went cheaper as no guaranty that it would get here any faster. It was through a company that was based out of Hong Kong, same difference I suppose.
@@virtualawakening2299 I can't decide between Moza and Fanatec. Based on reviews, I like the CS DD and CSL Elite pedals V2 over the R12 and SRP pedals, but I prefer Moza's wheels and pricing. I have a question, I am thinking of configuring the round rim with the Podium Rally, and the Podium Hub with advanced Podium shift paddles, in order to have a steering wheel for rally and also complete for any set with clutch paddles. It has not been clear to me if they are in a good position on this wheel. There is only the problem with the CSL Hub as the cams are too far away, right? Thanks for your fantastic job!
Hello. Can I fit the advanced paddles with a universal hub, So I can keep the buttons on Sparco GT? Fanatec website says its compatible, I wonder how... Thanks
Quite tempted to upgrade my WRC rim to the Sparco Rally rim but wondering if it’s worth the extra cost, considering I’d have to buy a hub and button module as well
The WRC rim is probably a lot lighter and the Sparco steering wheel with the hub might dampen a lot of the vibrations. Do you really need all those knobs and buttons? If you have the money and you know what you want...
I have bought the Fanatec Monte Carlo Rally rim ( Ford Puma Repilca). Can somebody please tell me what screws fix the gold bracket onto the Sparco Rally rim? The gold bracket is the part that the Module sits on top. Fanatec didn't send me enough screws out. I'm 3 missing. I cant put the wheel together without them. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this wheel is useless without them.
Sadly seems from there forums, people are still waiting for there Black Friday orders, its now April the following year, the dreaded "handover to warehouse". I would strongly recommend avoiding them until this mess sorts itself out.
@@boostedmediaI am still not seeing any Black Friday deals on the CSL DD after waiting through the queue, should I wait longer for it? Are there supposed to be any more CSL DD bundles?
Their forum website said would have formula v2.5 X for $200 but seems like not on website...just the bundle with dd and the rest of this stuff... figures i only wanted that wheel and unfortunately no qr2 deals for wheel side.

I was expecting cube controls or ascher , even gomez with the Hyper p1 to do some decent discounts but NOOO!!! In other hand please review the GT pro zero V.2, i think they went too high with the price but i dont know how good were the improvements.
The Replica rally wheel bundled with the rest of the rally modules goes for 550 euros, so 150e cheaper. (it comes with the universal hub though, not podium)
Good point, didn't even think about that, considering you are getting a podium hub, qr2 and the real wheel for just 150 more, the cheaper bundle really isn't worth it imo@@AttilaTheHun333333
I ordered the mclaren bundle with V2 Elite pedals and 8nm Base for 599€ a few days ago (should be still abailable, at least in Germany). The price of the bundle in the shop is 799€ but when you put it in the shopping cart it drops to 599€. Maybe interesting for you :)
The elite V2 pedals look great and are awesome for the price! The CSL loadcell pedals look like cheap folded sheet metal.. I didn't even realize they sold the CSL with the 5nm power supply any more. Hwy?????? If the cast aluminium V2 pedals don't crack and fail, they could be the end game of pedal upgrades, unless you get as fast as Jimmy Broadbent or Jardier.
Where do I get help with FOV setup... no matter what calculator I use it feels so wrong. Is is possible that my screen is to far away (32" inches from my eyes) and that messes up the formula. And when they say Screen Width... I assume that we are talking width and not screen size (I have a 32" screen but the width is only 28". If I follow a calculator for iRacing it says FOV=48 and that is just so wrong to drive with... it has to be between 60 and 70 (otherwise its just terrible to drive). Please help you awesome people
Set your centre screen about 50-60cm from your eyes, then adjust the angles so the centre of each side screen is the same distance from your eyes as the centre screen, then adjust your in game settings to suit.
If you are on single screen and it's not a huge one, forget calculators and just go as low you can while finding it comfortable to use. With a normal size single screen it's more or less impossible to get the "correct" FoV without restricting your visibility substantially, so you will need to compromise a bit. You will easily get used to any FoV, set whatever you find comfortable and keep it consistent across the sims you drive (taking into account sims can have it denominated in vertical or horizontal degrees, so find your value for both options).
If you don't have a really big ultra wide screen or a triple screen, the calculated FOV will be bad. It will give you the actual view of angle you have of the edges of your screen from your eyes. So you'll see center and maybe 20 degrees left and right of that??? And you want to race with that??? Forget it. Don't get sucked into those real life FOV preachers who claim you will be faster if you have real life FOV. I'd rather see waaay more than 20 degrees left and right from center. Just saying that FOV thing is bullshit. Just set your view as wide as you can before the distortion bothers you. If you set the width too wide, you'll see a fisheye lens effect. It depends on your tolerance of that. It's a game, and set it to your comfort and immersion level, not some supposed realism level.
Hi Will love your content, keep up the great work. Any idea how heavy the combined Sparco p310 and csl universal hub v2 will be? I can only find the hub weight being 660gms. Thanks for your help
Yeah. Fanatec just want to profit from us faithful. No credit to our accounts or coupons to redeem some QR2 wheel side connects for cost, or cost +20%...

Still nothing from my order from the 16th of November. Stay far far far away from Fanatec. Similar hardware, similar prices elsewhere without the blatant disorganization and lack of customer care.
More *licensed* rims/wheels, that by their nature, are overpriced. And then it's always 5,6,7 variations of the same thing. How many different round wheels, D-shaped wheels, etc. does Fanatec have now, 20+? Give me more quality over quantity, more innovation, such as a Formula wheel with a screen, instead of seven variations of the v2.5x🤷♂

Their "premium" wheels look more premium than Fanatecs stuff and are generally cheaper especially if you need/want the fanatec QR2 which adds another $60-$100.
I think the rally rim is 330mm not 320mm isn’t it?
No it’s 320. Just measured it again. I believe the genuine Sparco one might be 330mm. But this is 100% 320mm.
The Monte Carlo Rally wheel is a bundle. It’s actually cheaper than to buy the individual components with the new replica wheel.
Thanks
Will they ever restock the wheels or was it only part of black friday?
I just ordered the Sparco GT rim along with everything else for my first Sim Rig. 😬 Let the weeks to months wait begin! 🤣
When did you get the Emira? You should do a video on it.
Can i use my real wheel with this have a used one i swaped after a couple seasons tempted to try it but its a big cost if it doesnt work?
Every time I check your videos my bank balance decreases 😂
Just ordered an Xbox club sport hub V2 and the rally wheel - thanks!
Hey have you heard anything from Logitech regarding releasing a new wheel for their pro line up ?
I have been waiting to get on the site for an hour, I hope they extend the deal.
Just grabbed the Sparco Formula with the uni hub and another QR2. Very nice package and a bargain with the uni hub being discounted atm.
I like the sparco rim with the rally modul but for now my bmw gt2 v2 will do fine for rally !🔥
always great videos, but please change mic setup, some weird artifacting that makes it very hard to listen to on high quality headphones
Yep. We’ve fixed this now. Faulty wireless receiver.
Sadly seems from there forums, people are still waiting for there Black Friday orders, its now April the following year, the dreaded "handover to warehouse". I would strongly recommend avoiding them until this mess sorts itself out.
Can you test the Intel a770 graphics card with iracing please
Im sad that fanatec didnt price down the csl dd
They did you get a formula rim included for the same price
They did! The deal just isn't quite live yet. Website is having issues.
@@boostedmediaI am still not seeing any Black Friday deals on the CSL DD after waiting through the queue, should I wait longer for it? I am on the US site
Edit: it refreshed with all the wheels that were talked about in the video but the only CSL DD bundle is with the Racing Wheel Formula V2.5 X. Are there supposed to be any more CSL DD bundles?
Its a bundle with the V2.5X wheel. they dont ahve a deal on the abse as a standalone product.
Hey will. What earphones do you use
Their forum website said would have formula v2.5 X for $200 but seems like not on website...just the bundle with dd and the rest of this stuff... figures i only wanted that wheel and unfortunately no qr2 deals for wheel side.
if you search it in the search bar it appears at the discounted price. Not appearing on the BF page for some reason. Hopefully soon.
@@boostedmedia ah nice thank you ordered it now guess was lagging to update.
185€ shipping included for the v2.5x+ advanced paddles
Is that a Lotus Emira in the Background?
Yep
For your Rally-Modul Review: I see it has USB :), Test if it easily works with the Asatek USB QR!?
Is that new Fanatec rally button box compatible with other DD via the USC C ? Can we connect directly to pc?
No. it uses a proprietary protocol.
There is a way around it with the sim racing machines conversion kit, but that will add to the cost.
As of May 2024 all the Sparco wheels are out of stock, maybe something to do with the troubles at the company or not.
I had prior bad experience with Fanatec, but man!! they know how to attack a black friday, is tempting me. I was expecting cube controls or ascher , even gomez with the Hyper p1 to do some decent discounts but NOOO!!! In other hand please review the GT pro zero V.2, i think they went too high with the price but i dont know how good were the improvements.
What's the best Wheel for GT7? New or old 🫣
Question, i have the Thrustmaster Sparco R383 wheel, can i use the rim with the podium/Clubsport v2 hub?
"Thrustmaster to Fanatec ,Sparco Rally Wheel to DD1 with "Universal Hub". Only 2 screws lined up" found that info via google
Do these fit with Ascher B16M Hub
I really wish you could buy the R383 without the Rally button module.
I imagine the replica is more than enough for sim racing
You can, from amazon.
but isn't the replica only available in a bundle with the button module?@@jht8367
Literally any auto parts store that carries Sparco steering wheels has you sorted.
I suppose but those are significantly more expensive than the rim fanatec is kind of selling.@@paulleins7809
The Replica rally wheel bundled with the rest of the rally modules goes for 550 euros, so 150e cheaper. (it comes with the universal hub though, not podium)
And no QR2 so not really comparable.
Good point, didn't even think about that, considering you are getting a podium hub, qr2 and the real wheel for just 150 more, the cheaper bundle really isn't worth it imo@@AttilaTheHun333333
All these wheels..... do they wear out? My wheel looks like new, dont know why a new wheel is needed
What do you think is better, buy csl dd 5nm with csl elite pedals for €530 or the csl dd 8nm with csl loadcell pedals for €585?
I’d recommend getting the better pedals. It will have more of an impact.
@@boostedmedia thanks, will probably do that
@@robinmuller6562 yeah I also saw that but this one is a bit cheaper
The elite V2 pedals look great and are awesome for the price! The CSL loadcell pedals look like cheap folded sheet metal.. I didn't even realize they sold the CSL with the 5nm power supply any more. Hwy?????? If the cast aluminium V2 pedals don't crack and fail, they could be the end game of pedal upgrades, unless you get as fast as Jimmy Broadbent or Jardier.
Odd seeing a kart wheel. Wondering if they know something we dont? MSG dropped KartKraft as soon as they aquired the game.
Sorry I just re watched the video and my question is answered in the video
Great review as always! Do you know if the rally module fits for deeper center rally wheel like sparco R325?
Problem is the qr2 connect is so dam expensive. Adds so much to the cost of a rim
Yeah. Fanatec just want to profit from us faithful. No credit to our accounts or coupons to redeem some QR2 wheel side connects for cost, or cost +20%...
Noo i was ready to buy the rally wheel!
I think fanatec needs a dash display other than that. i thought i was a great black friday this yr
Keep wishing. I gave up waiting. Instead, they gave us the 7th iteration (or color variation) of the v2.5x wheel. I left to Simagic. I would recommend that or Asetek 👍
✌🏼i saw you guys were putting a Trak Racer direct fit wheel mount on a Next Level racing rig. i have the FG-T elite lite and im wondering if it fit well for you. does it fit??🙏🏼✌🏼✌🏼
I have a NLR F-GT Elite with Trak Racer’s front mount. Had to use a chop saw to slightly shorten the aluminum profile extrusions. It is more rigid than NLR’s front mount.
Damn at first glance i thought the video is stretched. Then i realize is the wheels position 😂
Pretty pointless, fanatec need a F1 wheel with a screen like the TM Sf1000.
How is it pointless?
Not pointless they needed a real rally wheel. I think a screen in a f1/gt3 is well needed for fanatec, but as allways it take way longer than it needs to take 🙄
Hah. They must have made a deal with ThrustMaster who just "happen" to have the same replica rims. (Sparco 310 and 383).
I can’t even purchase anything. Website is completely down 😂 (CND)
Yep I can’t get on at the moment either. Should come back soon. This happens on Black Friday every year and every major product launch.
@@boostedmedia I figured ! I ended up getting through as soon as I finished writing that comment hahaha. I was able to finally checkout. With a little bit of patients, everything will work out. I had more luck logging into my fanatec account on my phone rather than pc browser if anyone is wondering.
Shame they use UPS for shipping to the UK. UPS are probably the second worst logistics firm in the UK, just behind Evri
Again not available, Fanatec stocks are really bad
Very smart
AAAAND it CRASHED the Website!
Fanatec litteraly made me spend alot this black friday, ffs
Man I thought I read this as new Logitech where’s rip 😂
Hi just to ask a question with the asetek forte wheel base I have this base and am having a problem with my wheel keeping center when I have set wheel to center turn wheel either left or right and my wheel is showing 15 degrees out but my wheel is center and is happening in all games my wheel end up off center doing my nut in any ideas if possible
wtf kind of kart got a 350mm wheel?
mine
Good luck getting one! Fanatec worst shipping and customer support in the business.
After buying the wheel, QR2, button paid….. that’s a grand on a wheel. Too rich for my blood.
Still nothing from my order from the 16th of November. Stay far far far away from Fanatec. Similar hardware, similar prices elsewhere without the blatant disorganization and lack of customer care.
never 30cm formula wheel 🤦🏻
so they just send the Sparco sticker? lol
Terrible compatiblity with Fanatec modules! HARD pass, they all look dumb.
What's with Fanatec and 270mm rims???
Do they not realize men have broad shoulders? Time to step up to 300mm-325mm for formula!!!
Who buys round wheels anymore?
More *licensed* rims/wheels, that by their nature, are overpriced. And then it's always 5,6,7 variations of the same thing. How many different round wheels, D-shaped wheels, etc. does Fanatec have now, 20+? Give me more quality over quantity, more innovation, such as a Formula wheel with a screen, instead of seven variations of the v2.5x🤷♂
they should be making a canadian site instead of releasing this new shit.
they really need a warehouse here in canada so we can avoid those huge shipping cost and ups doubling the duty charges.
Stay away from Fanatec. Sleezy, scummy company. I love your videos, but I question your continued support for this gawd awful company.
This video was made before the issues started. Our more recent videos include a warning to potential customers and we’re organising a meeting with them to get answers to the community’s questions.
Sparco is the new Supreme overpriced and garbage
Some of Fanatecs black friday deals are a total con, in order to actually use the rims they have on offer other purchases are required do the math and your not saving one single penny.
The new Sparco wheel rims aren’t on discount, hence no saving.
