    This was such an immense series because this was one of 3 matches where the result was still in balance at the death, and the final test (and series) was still in the balance on the final day.

    Shame Simon Jones endured so many injuries. He was a really good bowler. Coulda racked up quite a few wickets for England.

    If you want the measure of a man, look in their eyes after a defeat.
    Shane Warne had sincerity in his eyes.
    What a cricketer and human being he was. He was a natural born winner but took defeat like a man.
    Class act.
    RIP Shane Warne.

    what ever happened to simon jones? he tore us aussies a new one in the 2005 series but I didn't see much of him afterwards

      Had he not got injured at Trent Bridge, England would have selected the same line up for all 5 tests. Collingwood did his bit at The Oval by staying at the crease in the second innings as long as he did.
