I have dark skin and I also have coworkers with dark skin and they told me that it’s undetectable on my face so I think there’s definitely a trick to it. I tried this trick with a sunscreen from Trader Joe’s as well as the Seravee mineral sunscreen SPF 50. You can use the same trick with the spray as well.
No don't do that, you're drastically reducing the listed spf by that method and also depending on the sunscreen formulations it might not form an even layer on the skin for protection.

I’m 72 years old and must see a dermatologist twice a year to treat AK and to deal with a couple other type of abnormal skin cell formations (including melanoma). My uncle died from melanoma. I have very white skin without adding the H&B sunscreen. Making my skin whiter with adding the H&B sunscreen doesn’t bother me. It does seem to bother some other people. I try to explain to them that I need maximum protection from the Sun’s harmful rays. I always wear hat, long sleeve shirts and long pants, socks (even with slippers) and gloves when in the out of doors (even in the heat of summer and while in Hawaii). Meanwhile I’ll continue to endure the comments, suggestions and jokes from others who don’t have a clue what I’m dealing with. Keep up the great work. Good health!

Idk if you are aware of it but it contains a lot of harmful chemicals, some of them greatly impacting your hormones and others are even related to cancer. I myself try to search for a clean sunscreen, and it's really hard to find one that doesnt have a lot of extra things that are really bad for your health, i just commented so that you can maybe search for another sunscreen to use, or dig a bit more about this one :)

You can mix a tinted sunscreen or regular makeup with a white sunscreen to give you a lighter tint. I do this with Cerave tinted and white cerave face. I put a blob of each on the back of my hand and blend, then apply to my face.
I use the korean SOME BY MI cica mineral sunscreen. After trying a bunch of sunscreens, I think this is a good choice. Doesn't leave that much amount of whitecast and soothes your skin.

Some By Mi Tone up Mineral. Senka N. Rohto Sunplay Super Cool. I had use a lots of them. You should clean your face first. Moisturizing with lotion/serum/cream or whatever make your skin moist. Then apply layers of Sunscreen.

Just bought CeraVe hydrating mineral sunscreen and the white cast is comical; finding it hard to take my hubby seriously while he’s wearing it 😂👻 we’ll try some of the application tips in the video and the comments, but will probably just look for a tinted mineral sunscreen in the future!

I'm loving littllextra riceberry sunscreen right now and I'm a fan. I can use a little amount without feeling icky. It do not sting the eyes or taste bad if sweat gets into my eyes or mouth. The price is also very reasonable compared to most facial sunscreens. For reference, I have mostly normal skin, slightly oily on my nose and chin, and somewhat prone to acne unless I'm rigorous with my skincare. I've been using it for 30 days and haven't had any breakouts or even a single large pimple, so it's definitely not clogging my pores.

being mineral or chemical doesn't matter; if the sunscreen is water resistant then you should try double cleansing
