    I think they should out sunscreen testers like perfumes cause it's difficult to find the right one for your skin especially Black skin... I've never used one and I wanted to ve a try... bought eucerin sunscreen for 18 euros, I tried it on and I was breaking out like hell...

      If you are not allergic to avocado oil, i recommend you to try Mustela Very High Sun Protection SPF 50/PPD 25. It's a semi-physical sunscreen for babies. It contains titanium dioxide and non-irritating chemical uv absorbers, which aren't approved yet in the US, but are used widely outside the US and Canada. You can buy it on Amazon UK. It's very cheap. I have an acne-prone and sensitive skin, and i have no problem using it. Unlike most chemical sunscreens out there.

    • @whitepaper5241
      @whitepaper5241 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh, and it doesn't contain any irritating ingredients - fragrance, drying alcohols, parabens, etc - as it is made for babies.

      We also need LESS sunscreen because melanin tends to block sun.

    HELLO MY GORGEOUS FRIENDS!
    TIMESTAMPS:
    0:00 Intro: Sunscreen MUST be part of your routine even if you have dark skin
    0:46 What's the difference between mineral sunscreen and chemical sunscreen?
    2:55 La Roche Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Face Sunscreen
    6:44 Cotz Flawless Complexion Spf 50
    8:08 Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 50
    11:26 Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Dry-Touch Sunscreens
    14:55 Versed GUARDS UP DAILY MINERAL SUNSCREEN BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 35
    NOTE: these are MINERAL/PHYSICAL SUNSCREENS. Ingredients include titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide. I have been focusing on more MINERAL/PHYSICAL SUNSCREENS because over the years people with deeper skin tones have told me that chemical sunscreens (the more dominant sunscreens you'll see on the market) irritate their skin or they're allergic to them. MINERAL/PHYSICAL SUNSCREENS typically tend to leave a white cast on the skin though, so finding one that works for black skin can be hard. That’s why I’ve been testing them-to help you find ones that aren’t ashy ❤️
    So you will not see some of your favorite sunscreens listed in videos like these (ie Black Girl Sunscreen or Supergoop Unseen) because those are CHEMICAL sunscreens. I actually prefer chemical sunscreens (FOR ME) and have tested a ton of the over the years and you can find many of them on my blog: tsabd.com/non_ashy_sunscreens. I have found some mineral sunscreens though that I love-check em out in my Mineral Sunscreen for Dark Skin playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLtL9S7jYiBcNeoKFRyfQLu8ItTb-6kONM.html

    I HAVE to wear sunscreen...due to a skin condition that makes my skin have an inflammatory response to sunlight and stress. But as a person of color, I hate having to slather on even when they advertise “clear zinc” sunscreen when I come out looking like a ghost...so far I’ve tried a lot of different sunscreens but only one (Purlisse) has gone on without a white cast. Hopefully one of these works out for me.

    I just prefer chemical sunscreens because they feel more like skincare. I generally use Korean or Japanese ones. I do carry colorscience brush on mineral sunscreen powder in my makeup bag to touch up if I have to go outside during peak hours. I only wear mineral if I'm doing a no makeup activity in the sun, and I know I'll need to reapply every two hours.
    Btw, try the Laroch Posey non tinted broad spectrum physical and chemical mix sunscreen: it takes a bit to work in the skin, but it doesn't leave a cast after. It's a great doc recommended sunscreen.

    Biossance Squalane and Zinc SPF 30 sunscreen is my favorite. It goes on absolutely invisible on my medium brown complexion. Unfortunately, they have discontinued this product because of customers complaining about skin sensitivities. I've never had a problem with it. I made a hack though to get the same result: I mix QRX Labs Squalane and E oil with Vanicream Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, ( pretty much invisible already,) and the effect is equal to the Biossance sunscreen. After mine runs out, this is what Ill be using. ❤

    I have light brown combination skin. I’ve always struggled to find the right sunscreen for me but recently I’ve tried one Korean brand and OMG it totally changed my experience with sunscreens. Currently waiting for another order to arrive. I’m totally i love with how it feels on my skin, not thick and easy to blend. I’ve tried the chemical one from that brand but also seen great reviews about their mineral one so I’ve ordered that + one from another Kbrand. Thanks for the info hun you’re so pretty 😍

    Hi guys I just bought the colorscience spf 50 face shield. It is tinted 100% mineral (physical) sunscreen and it comes in 3 colours on their website the 1. original 2. glow and 3. bronze. I bought the bronze and its working really well for me. Barely any cast on my skin and I don`t wear any makeup on top of it. I would definitely recommend this one for darker skin tones!!. I apply mine with a dry beauty blender (2 layers- allow the 1st layer to dry a bit then apply the 2nd one. I apply 2 layers as in order to get the full effect of spf you are meant to be applying sun screen quite liberally. Don`t forget you neck and nears as well!) so that it soaks in without a cast. I would definitely recommend if its within your budget (£24.50 in the UK). For reference I am around NW45 foundation shade in MAC and estee lauder double wear I wear Sandalwood for the foundation shade. I have sensitive dry skin and have experienced no irritation whatsoever with the sun-screen. I have just bought the colorscience powder version as well so I can use this one to re-apply during the day.

    Perfect timing for the mineral sunscreens. I prefer mineral bc of my melasma. I’ve been trying the Australian Gold 50 tinted but it’s a bit casty. The deep is too dark And pink but I’ve mixed a little of it and the original tint and it helps. The Cerave spf 30 tinted is nice but stays dewy on the face. I’m definitely going to try the Versed and Cotz.
    I’d like to see what you think about the Dr Gross mineral spray if possible.
    Thanks again for the review.

      @styleandbeautydoctor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Someone else asked about the DDG spray, too! I’ll look into it. Be mindful of mixing sunscreens with other products as that can degrade the spf-although I don’t have any intel on mixing sunscreens with sunscreens. I’ll have to ask a cosmetic chemist about that.
