For someone of Zidane's stature to say some of the things he said to Messi who is his junior is magnificent and the respect Messi gives back is just incredible. 8 Ballon D'ors will never be beaten or repeated. The greatest footballer we have ever seen (with massive respect to Ronaldinho) and will never see another like him.
Since you mentioned ronaldinho.. i liked him even better than messi when he played, had he played today, I would’ve still acknowledged messi as the greatest but my support and favourite would have probably been Dinho.

Zidane, for me, is my all time favourite player. I saw him live once, for France, and he was a magician. He's a big man but could just glide across the pitch, and literally had everything in his prime. Speed, technique, ability, power, backed up with this underlying aggression and with a nasty streak, I always thought he defied physics, the way he moved, the way he played.

Personally being from Scotland and luckily being at the champions league final at Hampden I will never forget that zidane volley it was special. As a child my first ever football hero was maradona , I was 7 for italia 90 but I of course seen videos of maradona before then too. I can watch these two talk for hours. god damn the humbleness of Leo, I have never seen such an accomplished player be so humble.
