If you look at the whole aspect of the game like IQ, Vission, assist, ball control, dribble,goal scoring , accuracy,Tactics etc no one comes even close to Messi. The point where the debate comes in is between the goals, where each one has arguments to be classified as the best goalscorer, and in the UCL, (where Ronaldo is better than Messi in this aspect).
In literally every other aspect of football, Messi wins. The thing is that, in the football aspects where Ronaldo wins, Messi is close or even in same level compared to Ronaldo, while in the football aspects where Messi wins, Messi has a significant advantage in each one, where Ronaldo is not close to Messi in those things.
Yes, the only debate is in the UCL (Ronaldo clearly better in this aspect) and in goals (debatable), in other things, Messi has a lot of advantage.
First the stats is not everything it depends on the team and with a trash team Ronaldo can't get a higher stats, just see some of Ronaldo's assists, and secondly, Messi is not top 1 assist and playmaking
