    Seafood stinks
If stored for more than a day it becomes a health hazard
Marine life is swimming and eating the thrash we humans throw in our oceans. These fish are filled with Mercury which will poison you slowly.
Most fishermen don't like to eat fish, that should raise some questions.
If you want fish from continental waters then carps and pikes have too many bones. So except for a few species such as salmon and trout there's not many species worth the effort.
Seafood is among the most tasteless chewy overated expensive food out there.
    there you have it

Yes! Everybody treats fish and marine animals very different to terrestrial animals!

It is ridiculous how grown men need to be babysat so they don’t destroy the ocean yet they still continue to do it because money is the only thing that matters in today’s time. It isn’t safe to eat seafood anyway.

Great video. I've been aware of these things for years. I used to only eat fish I'd caught myself. Now due to immobility I have to occasionally buy my fish.
So now I'm going to have a right old Nag/Rant about stuff contributing to our Oceanic & Planetary problems.
I believe the real reasons for our Oceanic woes is the over-population of our lovely planet and mans
    G R E E D
If we half the population to a more responsible and sustainable level we should be halving our needs.
This will take a few generations but the alternative being by the year 2100 the population of our planet could exceed 16 BILLION people = big problems = the joke of "Standing room only & Sod-off our Country is FULL" might not be such a joke in years to come!
Educating people to not have so many children would help, but when the birth rate is greater than the death rate = increase in population, EVEN if we manage to slow it down. Then there's the use, or not of contraception. Because we find sex pleasurable as opposed to a necessity and in doing so find some methods of contraception take away such pleasure we end up with unwanted pregnancies. Then there's those who say contraception is against their religion .... the list of excuses goes on & on! We are a selfish species, caring mainly about ourselves and sod the rest of you!
Then there's output of toxic wastes into our Oceans & Atomosphere from increasing Industry needs of an ever increasing population will further increase pollution into the food chain and ultimately cause illness and disease all the way up that chain into humans!
We HAVE to convince our glorious leaders to get their oversized egos out of their oversized assholes and sort these problems out, instead of talking endlessly about "stuff", preening themselves on a job well done, without actually achieving anything towards sorting the fekking problems out. (Bit like me typing this but not able to do a damn thing about our problems, whereas THEY can but deep inside many couldn't care less with an attitude of, well why should I care, I won't be alive anyway)!
Take plastics. Plastics are great; problem being we don't use them responsibly. We were told they are biodegradable, so no problem! What wasn't told to us was that it takes Thousands of years to bio degrade!
Companies that manufacture use once throw away plastics don't really want to break them down in a recycling process ... because it will eek into their profit margins. Did you know, in U.K. we cannot put Cling-film in our recycling bins, nor many similar plastics. Why?
My idea is to give certain plastic manufacturers ultimatums. Give them 6/12 to make plastics recyclable (they've already had YEARS to achieve this). If they fail fine them £2M/week. Then ⬆️ by £2M/wk until 12/12 is up then charge them £5M/wk until they comply. And not allowing them to make the people pay via a stealth method. I think they'll soon alter their ways. There are other ways to make plastics, like using for example, Potatoe starch of which is garden compostable!
Do you want your children to have a fulfilling future? I don't have any as I've been responsible, but looking at the world as we know it today, I think it may well become a living hell if our generation fails in its duty towards our future offspring. This is my opinion only. I dare say many will either Agree, Disagree, or just don't give a damn! Have a Nice Day😎

@@royalroy3000 A number of different places, from text books to reading books to conservation lectures. I would recommend reading emperors of the deep which covers a few of these topics well. Or Song for the blue ocean (even though it is slightly dated now) for a longer read about the state of the global fishing industries and the pressures on the ocean. 👍

  • @trfmamurphy9885
    @trfmamurphy9885 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I appreciate your points but imo there's only ONE way to approach not just overfishing but also such stuff as "global warming" and pollution of our atmosphere.
Reduce the population of the world and we'll reduce our needs. Those needs aren't just fish or/and meat (methane from farting animals) but also reducing the need to plunder the Earth for such things as mineral resources, for lots of things, from Medicine to building and industrial needs as a whole. Too many people saying " why should I care, it's not my responsibility" and "I'm alright Jack, to hell with everyone else". Or we'll leave it for our kids to sort out. The latter being one of the reason the planet is in this mess, too many offspring - I don't have any! Reduction of population is imo the best way to SAVE PLANET EARTH!
Wake up folks and also WAKE UP industry that WON'T make plastic recyclable because it will eat into their profit margins. Start fining plastics companies say £1M/wk for 6/12, rising to £2M/wk, then £5M/wk eating even more into their I'll gotten profits then they should get the message!
The plastics that are said to be biodegradable - can anybody out there wait 10,000 years to find out if that's true? They put notices on plastic coverings saying "don't recycle at home, or take to larger supermarkets" yet saying they're 100% recyclable. This is their way of "Passing the Buck" onto you, the consumer. I'm sick of the whole bloody mess and I'm pretty sure I speak for thousands, if not millions of other people around the world.
And finally, the electricity generated to go into car batteries for our Electric Cars, comes partially from FOSSIL FUELS! They don't tell you that do they? But I think electric IS the way to go but the truth needs to be told to populations! Have a nice day.
