She seems so shy and genuine and you can tell it really means something to her. I love that. Some actors just go up there like it's a hassle to have to get up and go make a speech, and then carry a statue around for the rest of the night, but this lady always seems so grateful and excited whenever she wins. Plus, she looks absolutely wonderful!
@@TheRealKingMichael You know there were many sexual harrasment and sexual abuse victims from Weinstein. Why would you do such comment? Do you find funny if Renee Zellweger were another victim?
Scarlett Johansson deserves to win it. Too bad Oscar voters get their dicks hard with these so called "transformative" performances. It was nothing to write home about
what a splendid woman. Her speech is so nervously beautiful, and Nicole had such a smile, I think it calmed Rene a bit, and Jude, he had an very encouraging smile too.
+Valentina Moro yeah but this appearance has gone forever. Have you seen her recent pictures? idk what kind of altercation did she do to her face but she look entirely like a different person now.
+Humanity is doomed way to turn a prestigious Oscar ceremony into a tabloid like the daily mail. She was all smiles, though, so I guess she got the last laugh.
Renee was great in Cold Mountain! Scene stealer all the way. Great performance! I honestly would have given the Oscar to Shohreh Aghdashloo. She gave one the most unforgettable performances that year. Brilliant, beautiful and underrated actress.
she should have definitely won for Chicago too, i think she absolutely deserved it! Amazing performance!! miss her! and fuck the haters she's still beautiful!
3:10 - Bitch, you just had to bring up my ex, eh? And of course the camera is on me suddenly, okay, I'm smiling, for the love of... whatever, tomorrow I'm gonna meet Jimmy Fallon, he's cute.
Such a great performance by Renée Zellweger. I am really looking forward to her comeback role as Judy Garland this year. Let's hope she can join the elite group of Helen Hayes, Ingrid Bergman, Maggie Smith, Meryl Streep, Jessica Lange and Cate Blanchett of actresses who have won Oscar in the Best Actress category and the Best Supporting Actress category.
Daniel G What happened with that was they couldn’t put Nicole in the same catagory with Catherine Zeta-Jones. Nobody was going to beat her as Velma. So they put Nicole in Lead Actress that year.
just saw Cold Mountain for first time and she stole every scene she was in i am personally a big Renee fan and i did see Patricia Clarkson's performance and Marcia Gay Hardens and Holly Hunters and she totally deserved it
I thought it was sweet when she thanked Vincent D'Onofrio in her speech. If you haven't seen them act together before you should definitely check out their performances in the film "The Whole Wide World."
Honestly she deserved it, Hunter was in a film that doesn't deserved her, Clarkson is fine in an unmemorable film, Gay Harden sell her big scene but just that, Aghdashloo was great but her character don't have a complete transition, Zellweger's performance was the most rounded of all. Kidman at 3:13 B I T C H you have to bring him up ? lol
I feel sorry for her. She changed her face..she isn't the same person and I think the main reason is because she wasn't asked to do films for a long time now. She is a great actress and she deserves better.
I agree. I remember hearing a long time ago that if you won an oscar you secure the privilige of working for the rest of your carrer. It seems that it wasnt true for Renee
Otrebor2099 I just can't imagine somebody building a fame on his face then suddenly go change it,I don't know if he is dead or just decided to withdraw from publicity the ones at lost decided to replace her..I don't know...
Yesss yessss she really is a very great actress gosh I love her in Bridget JOnes Diary I just watched that movie now. It was so funny and amazing. And also cant believe her performance in chicago so amazing all the dancing and the singing just glorious just glorious.
Renee might not be that good but it's not just the performance that's being considered but also the overall picture. Come to think of it, how many weeks or months did it take for her to master an unfamiliar accent?, how hard is it for a person to be dramatic but humorous at the same time? Her character is natural, interesting and realistic and I think that is what captivated the members of the Academy. She worked hard for that Oscar.
Since seeing all the films these women were nominated for I have to say "Shohreh Aghdashloo should have won!" As great Zellweger and the other nominees were in their performances Aghdashloo was masterful in House of Sand and Fog! As little scene time she had, whenever she'd come on the screen she'd steal the show from Kingsly and Connelly. That's how great and convincing she was. She's one of the most underrated actress in Hollywood!
I agree. I think the strongest in the category were her and Hunter. Her performance in House of Sand and Fog was absolutely powerful. Hunter's performance in Thirteen was so raw and beautiful. Renee was great, but I feel this Oscar was more about a body of work than this film on its own.
So so true, I believed the reason she lost is because she's Muslim and non-White. Her defeat is even more upsetting 'cause RZ's performance in "Cold Mountain" is always regarded one of most underwhelming and undeserved.
Even though her co-stars Sean Penn and Tim Robbins received most of the accolades for Mystic River, I give major kudos to the Academy for recognizing Marcia Gay Harden as well for her more silent, observant performance. She really left quite a mark, imo, without having to utter a line of dialogue.
Zellweger didn't act Ruby.... she WAS Ruby. If you've never seen it, please do. One of top five female performances ever. I'm not sure why some people didn't 'get it' ....maybe it was just a message for a few of us. I thank her for this performance. It gave me courage at a time when I desperately needed it.
She was nominated best actress in 2002, 2003, and finally won her first Oscar in 2004 for a supporting role. She won the best actress in 2020 after 16 years.
Make room for Oscar NUMBER TWO sweetie. Never thought she could play JUDY. Have seen it twice and she brought me to tears both times. LOVE Judy Garland with all my heart and I think even Judy would be proud of her portrayal. BRAVO!!
Shohreh Aghdashloo should have won. Hollywood needs to give her more roles! And no, they don’t need to be roles that have to be an Iranian woman. This woman can act and play many roles!!!
She seems so shy and genuine and you can tell it really means something to her. I love that. Some actors just go up there like it's a hassle to have to get up and go make a speech, and then carry a statue around for the rest of the night, but this lady always seems so grateful and excited whenever she wins. Scarlett Johansson deserves to win it. Too bad Oscar voters get their dicks hard with these so called "transformative" performances. It was nothing to write home about
Which she doesn't deserve. It's such a lackluster performance. She's lucked out that her competition is so weak and nothing more.
@@MiguelLopez-fs3ll scarlet's performance, wasnt that great tbh
I thought she was British...her accent in the Bridget Jones diary movies are so convincing so real I am quite shocked she is actually an American !

TheMrsnikkisixx no not seem them...I've had a sheltered life ;)
She is another Texan artist and a very good one at that. 💚
