Hello, Cynthia from Texas here. Rah Rah Rah! We are hosting Thanksgiving here on Thursday - 7 altogether. I have all the food on hand, my prep schedule is made, the serving dishes are out & the table is set. Yay me! The living room will get cleaned tomorrow ( and twice more before Christmas). Hubby & I went shopping early this morning & finished our Christmas shopping. We will begin Christmas decorating on Thursday after our big dinner. Everyone grabs a piece of Fall decor & puts it in the proper bin. Then we bring in the Christmas decor from the garage. I absolutely love you & your videos❤️❤️

Yesterday, I took the time to clean the carpet in my living room. Have been procrastinating this for so long and now I am so proud to see my clean and nice smelling carpet 😊. Thanks for your encouragement dear Diane! ❤
Weekly home blessing complete! We’ll be 7 for Thanksgiving, with the smallest just 3 weeks old🩷. I’ve been planning my table in my head, but now the upkeep cleaning is done, I’ll start setting the table. Yay! I love having the table set and looking so pretty ahead of time. And that cozy hot bath is calling my name! 🎉🎉🎉
Yesterday, I removed all the window screens, so it allows as much light into the house through the winter. I've finally cleared all the summer jackets and footwear out of the living room entryway closet. We didn't have any snow until last weekend, which is unusual since I do live in 🇨🇦. But now our yard is covered in white. Most gifts are bought and wrapped. Waiting until December to put up the Christmas tree. As for self care, I'm always relaxing with a book and a cat or two. I love the idea of a 'Green Friday'. I made up a Christmas stocking for myself last year for the first time, following my late mum's tradition of treating herself to something she wanted/needed. Went shopping today from a list, but with little success.
Since I'm on schedule with Christmas (thanks to you!) this week I feel much more prepared for hosting Thanksgiving. Shopping done, and getting linens and serving dishes together. I'm going to bed at a reasonable hour, have my outfit ready and continue to PUPA around the house. I love lighting my cozy candles and making hot mulled cider!
Love the idea of green friday, this year I've only bought 2nd hand clothes for myself and daughter. I'm definitely going to get to bed early this week and enjoy reading. Have a great week xx
My favourite self care mission (particularly this time of year) is to have a deep, luxurious, bubble bath. I absolutely love it and no matter how I’m feeling before I get into the water, it soothes and relaxes me almost straight away. I’m continuing with my Christmas planning. Thanks to you Diane, I’ve bought, wrapped and boxed all the presents that need to be sent in the post…….and it’s not even December 🤩
Thank you for the reminder about table linens! I never get those things out until the day of, and then I'm always upset because the table cloth isn't the right size or there aren't enough napkins. For some reason, I've never organized those things in advance. Also, I'm putting down a reminder for myself to polish the silver now! Another last minute scramble easily avoided!

Even though I’m in my late 30s, my parents & I now write “letters to Santa” via a group chat with gift ideas for ourselves (the surprise is which ones we get). I lit my hygge living room candle the other evening and enjoyed blueberry porridge in bed by cosy lamplight.

Finishing Thanksgiving plans today. Started my Christmas card list today, I make all my own, SO I will start making them just after this weekend, I spend a lot of time in my art room as I'm retired. Going to daughters home for dinner Thursday and I have the any job of bringing stuffed eggs and the relish tray. Have a great week.

♥ I no longer purchase holiday gifts (I bake cakes and shortbread every year) but I have a special birthday in February to shop for. I enjoy shopping for that one gift this time of year when special things are flush and presented beautifully in a museum shop where I receive a discount with my membership.

I love the reindeer! So cheerful. Shopping for some Thanksgiving fresh produce today. I pick up the turkey tomorrow because it won't fit in the freezer. Going to bed early is a great reminder because I remember past years when I was having fun playing with the decorations and the next thing you know it's 3 in the morning. I followed your planning, as often is the case in my life, other things tend to happen. My planning gets lost in daily happening! It really doesn't matter because watching the video's again helps me to come back to where I was. I am alone at Christmas, maybe a dinner on the 26th. Thanksgiving is not a celebration in Holland, at least my family and I don't. We are having a booz afternoon at my son's on the 1st of January. The grandchildren are coming to stay, so it will be a busy week.
Almost finished my gift shopping which feels nice. Leaves the next few weeks for wrapping. Thanks for your video! Been watching since 2019 and enjoy them all.

I know many people who take a daily cold shower (just turn down the temperature at the end). Have you tried that? Very invigorating! 👏🏼😁
