Good afternoon from Copenhagen! We’re tackling three quick tasks each week to keep things simple and festive: a power cleaning task to get the home sparkling, a planning task to stay organized, and a cozy self-care prompt just for you! 🕯✨ Which task are you looking forward to most this week? 👋🏼😁❤🎄
PS. I embarrassed myself a few times with being way to open. I am one who enjoys your sweet voice and accent...and yes, you are ASRM. Thank you for that too. It is natural in you. You are not talking at people. You are speaking with them. Refreshing change from TV announcers, commercials and the rest. This world is full of noise pollution. You are a blessing amidst the cacophony. Thank you.
Consumables & experiences are great gift ideas, also donating to someone's favourite charity is another fantastic way of giving a clutter free gift whilst helping a charity ❤️
I love the idea of donations to charity. It took some members of my family years to agree to do this when I made the request (and certain ones still feel the need to give me *things* ) but my patience has finally paid off!😊
Diane, I have been watching your videos for years and always find them inspiring and helpful. I’m in the middle of a 10 week solo trip from Australia (currently in Stockholm, heading to Oslo then Copenhagen soon) and whenever I find myself getting lonely or homesick, I watch one of your videos and they instantly make me feel better. Thank you!
This year we told our family that we will be giving consumables as a gift. Everyone loved the idea, and jumped on board! We always give gifts to the little ones, but for our Adult name drawing, I have put together a beautiful basket. Home made Christmas Jam(Strawberry/Cranberry/ and a touch of Orange Zest), Homemade Jalopeno Pepper Jelly with Crackers, Cappuccino Mix, Homemade Applesauce and several muffin mixes. I invited a friend over to help me wrap it, and we had the best time! I had purchased a kitchen dish rag, and made an hanging dish towel to match, and she layered those in the bottom of the basket. It’s all done, and I’m so relieved! Now I can enjoy the season a little bit more! Thank you for always being so inspiring! Dawn in West Virginia, USA
You have really encouraged me to start giving clutter free gifts ! I have watched you from the very beginning and you are the best and my favorite person to watch!❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Some friends have been asking to see photos from a recent trip to Bavaria so we are going to battle our dreary November weather with a photo show on my TV. I will provide a light lunch . Reviewing the photos and memories is a treat for me.
Throughout the year I have watched all your videos :) You have often been on in the background while I was doing chores. However I am sorry to say I was not as concistent with commenting as I am not always logged in on this account to comment. Trying to make a concious effort now as I want to honour or pact from the beginning of the year and most of all because I am very thankfull for all of the help and encouragement you give us all! :) Hoping the extra comments will help in getting you to the 100.000, rah rah rah! 🙂
I spent last night watching TV and on Pinterest searching for elf on the shelf ideas, I've written a list of 20 so I know what I need to get for them and i can easily do them rather than the mad panic the every evening.....I think it's the last year for my son 😢 so want to make sure it's a good one x thanks for promoting me to get ahead x
Made Desserts yesterday which we have today after dinner to find out if I can make them the day before christmas 😂 have already some ideas but no complete menu so far. Tomorrow my husband is not at home so I can go through some recipes 😊
@DianeinDenmark we have a winner 😊 crumbled almond biscuits mixed with eggnogg (one layer in a glass) on top curd cheese mixed with whipped cream and grated chocolate - repeat this two layer. Before dinner decorate with whipped cream and chocolate eventually more eggnogg😄. No children are eating with us 😉 It was really good. Even better on the next day ❤
I organized board games abd cleaned mould off the conservatory as it gets damp. Bought dehumidifier to combat it. Put up fairy lights. I know it was last weeks task but with half term i did not have time with teens in the house ❤🎉❤🎉❤
Ive decluttered books, organised Christmas decorations, put batteries in and checked that lights work. Thus week i need to focus on the weekly upkeep and perhaps 15 minutes in the kitchen ❤
👏👏👏 Been flying by the seat of my pants this year. Wilder and wilder as 2024 progressed. Many life changes. Thank you Diane. Watching you from afar with all your grace and dignity. You give soul food.🎉 I have some excellent jars on hand for the candle jar. Can't wait ❤🥰😍
I am looking forward to prepping my kitchen for a long-awaited new stove...and Christmas baking! Fingers are crossed that the fabulous delivery men will be able to fit it through tight spaces until it is finally settled in its place. All prayers gratefully accepted!😉
The best gifts my father-in-law gave us, when the kids were young, was family membership to the National Trust for a year, and also to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in the UK. We had lots of lovely family days out and visited places we might not have thought about. A much appreciated clutter free gift. Theatre tickets and restaurant vouchers are another idea. Do you buy gifts for your son and daughter Diane?
LOL. We're on our way to summer here (Melbourne, Oz) and I just bought three bottles of Glühwein. Not to drink now. For the past two years, it has sold out early in Winter and this is the first time I've seen it in almost six months. Not missing out next year!
Consumables and experiences are the best gifts. It's fun to plan an event with family or friends for Jan/Feb. Something to look forward to in the drab months. ❤
Love seeing you Diane! I have been re-watch all your videos again and you are just the best motivator for me. I love spending my time with you while i work. ❤
Last month I decided to clean my oven every time it’s zone 2, so I’ve cleaned my oven today🤩 Meeting friends on Friday and planning a trip to Oslo in the end of the month (I live in the south of Norway). Julebord, Christmas markets and I have to visit Salt- a very cool place for those who don’t know it😁 Have a lovely week Diane🌸
My mom’s retirement home is having a Christmas craft fair on the 23rd of this month and I’m currently busy making cards and giftable Christmas treat bags to sell there. I’m trying not to overthink it and get carried away in the making because then I’ll just get stressed out. If I sell anything, great! If I don’t, that’s fine, too. I’m not doing it to make money! 🇨🇦
I cleaned out a drawer in the freezer last week so instead I'm going to use up some food at the back of the cupboards. Tomorrow I'm going to arrange a christmas shopping trip with my mum ❤
Consumble gift good idea have fone that before appreciate by those eho cant afford Pizza or Chocaltes favorite snacks cant afford. There still r ppl. Who cant afford simple things believe ir not there out there.Take care b safe
Happy Monday! I am feeling distracted today; had to run video several times to get my monkey brain to stop thinking about ordering Swedish brown beans or finding out the dates for our Christmas market. Oj! ❤️ Kitchen Mission: Change old coffee maker for new electric kettle. And wipe out refrigerator. ❤️ Christmas Plan: Order those beans, stock up on lingon berries for gifts and meals ❤ Gifts: I make individual rice puddings (custard style) for family. And I bring a large dish for the Christmas Eve smorgasbord. A few family that cook may be getting a sack of swedish brown beans with Grandma's recipe. Planning to buy glögg ingredients and have on the counter next to a clean crock pot so I can dump everything in and start calling friends on the first bad weather night of the shopping season. Some Anna's ginger snaps right from the box would suit the come-as-you-are vibe. I already have battery operated candles for friend gifts. Maybe next year I will just give batteries. Yep, that's my low-cost clutter-free idea. ❤️ Self Care: Fika for one, please. With an indulgent cinnamon bun. And dig up the Phryne Fisher 12 Days of Christmas episode. ❤️ Shopping List: Hope, Joy, Peace and Love word ornaments for making an Advent centerpiece.
@ Honestly I’m not great at it but grounding and dancing are two of my favorite self are things to do. Also, telling myself that “rest is not lazyness.”
You look wonderful in your winter white with gold accessories! I’ll keep it in mind as a capsule wardrobe basic. Meanwhile, I’ve had a cup of hot chocolate, and I’m thinking that I might put on a bit of Christmas music to help me think as I potter about on my Monday routine. Thank you for getting me started on this rainy Seattle morning!
I love your Christmas preparations. It was so cozy to already plan the Christmas menu. We will have a baby coming just around Christmas, so this year planning ahead is truly crucial for me and I am trying to prep as much as i can in advance. Thanks for walking us through it :)
I have literally surrendered to following this plan for planning for Christmas and I'm so loving it! (Plan for Planning, there's a nice ring to that. lol) Thank you for all you do!
Going home for Christmas which means I only need to plan for the fun things. Hoping to visit the Christmas market for a Glühwein and host a cookie decorating evening. Excited for the time with my friends.
Hi Diane, I’m coming back to your channel. I’ve fallen off the Flylady wagon , lol. I come back to your channel for reminders, motivation and comfort. I love your channel. I’ll be getting on back on that wagon. 😂. Thanks for everything.
I really like your outfit. You look great in white. I'm on board with this week's task as I decluttered some food containers and need to wipe down and reorganize my cabinets. I am excited to learn more about European Christmas markets.
Getting my candle jar out to sort out. Not doing much entertaining this Christmas as I'm at family and friends over Christmas. May do a little buffet one day as I do like entertaining. We usually asked each other what we would like so money isn't wasted on random things. 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for keeping us on track, I’m loving these videos. It’s so nice to feel more in control of things. Although I have always enjoyed Christmas, I think this year will be more fun 😊🎄

Dearest Diane, hands down you are still my favorite content creator! Keep shinning because you sparkle!
I pop on your videos every so often. I really enjoy your content. Thank you for being here. Here’s 🎉to being on your way to the 100,000.
I love the idea of clutter-free gifts or even no gifts!

I did this one year and people were genuinely offended 😬 Love the idea but I guess you have to know your audience, haha!
@@janeb3024That's great! After all the most important things in life aren't things ❤

Glad it was helpful, Brooke! We love clutter-free gifts!

Thank you Diane❤

Excited to declutter in the kitchen area! Already parted with a bag of cookie cutters that I will never use. Now it’s on to the pantry…🎉
Today I bought tickets to a new Christmas show. We already have our Thanksgiving turkey in the freezer, because hubby bought two of them last year.
Loving all the self care advice!
Yay, glad to hear it, Rachel! Do you have any favourite self-care things you like to do? Always glad to get new ideas!
