I served 17 months in Vietnam living on a river of agent orange…
But everything is
Not service related
So when are they doing this to tim walz?
She needs to serve her time at Leavenworth.
I like this Judge, I doubt ANY real veterans in prison will like her much. She has a long time to think about it.
As a disable vet my self, I feel guilty for what I do get from the VA as I see other that have it worse than me. Then this person that was never in the service just taking advantage of it. I know of many vets that cant even get what they are owed. Makes me sick.
She's ashamed she got caught. She'll get out in 2 years.
It's a federal crime- I don't think they shorten sentences in the federal system.
@@willieverusethis Looked it up. You have to serve 85% of your sentence.
Also they all but eliminated federal parole.
70 months??? She should have received 20 years in prison
There's worse crimes but can't get much lower than this!
God bless all involved 🙏🏼
For all the time she spent at the VA, There's actually so much good She could have done to help people but chose to take the wrong path at every turn. Pretty sad.
I've been trying since the 70s. Easy for some i guess.
My medical records were over 6 inches thick, and they were still giving me the run around. It took a federal judge, reaming them a new arse-hole to fix lt. That was 50 years ago. I'm not sure if Federal Judges do automatic reviews anymore.
They should have given her 700 months without the possibility of parole!!! Make an example. This garbage behavior has got to stop!
Shame shame I think it's more like she's a shame she got caught
I hope she is miserable everyday when she wakes up in her 8x8 cell. Situations like this makes it difficult for us Veterans to get the things that we need to be able to go on in life. It’s just disgusting what she did
At a glance, this looks like a long sentence for a silly and offensive crime. But $300k in fraudulent charity claims certainty justifies it.
Yes. It’s the stealing, not the lying. Stealing from vets a lot of whom really need it. It’s disgusting.
I gave up on my local VFW once I realized most of the members weren’t even vets and that people were using the clubhouse to deal cocaine. It lost its charter, got it back, lost it again….. unless you are an alcoholic trying to get drunk as cheaply as possible, just go somewhere else. You’ll probably find more actual veterans at a Mission BBQ than you will your local VFW. It’s sad but true 😔
Agreed
Not a veteran here and for some reason (irony or sarcasm) I'm totally okay saying that. How hard is that. I didn't serve (tried, but an L5-S1 fusion kicked me out of the running) but I will definitely give any vet any help they would need on the spot. Never once did I ever think "Oh I'm going to lie and see what benefits I could get!". Even if I felt the urge there is something called the internet. She is beyond stupid and I hope she learned a lesson and can recover her life.
im sorry you couldnt serve, thank you for being honest
What you wanna do as a reporter is stand outside in the rain to tell us the details of the fraudulent behavior of the miscreant.
Too bad she could'nt be sentenced for a longer term. The only reason she is ashamed is because she was caught.
I love this story. She is a master troll lmao.
I don't understand being on line and stealing Valor, its just beyond my comprehension
as a veteran this pisses me off so much and at the same time i am sad because of how they disrespect the people who gave their lives in service they have no respect for servicemembers.
Liar liar pants on fire!
I sure hope it was worth it. I’m actually a disabled veteran. This damages us
How so?
holy crap talk about getting the book thrown at you
She deserves it! I'm one Vet in a long family line of Vets.
70 months, surprising when compared to big names getting a pass.
She didn't just put on a uniform for a waffle house discount. She stole hundreds of thousands through fraud.
@@6789uiopwhat big names have faked having cancer and pretended to be a combat veteran to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars?
She should do a life sentence
Hand slap 101
I just don’t get why anyone would do this. Do they honestly think they’ll never get caught out? SMH.
About time a woman has to face accountabilty
Everyone's sorry when they get caught
Stolen valor will guarantee you thousands of dollars
