I had the 3510 with negative display and silver bezel. Loved everything about it, especially the STN display. Sadly, the case cracked when I dropped it. I'm used to my G-Shocks being damn near indestructible, so it was pretty disappointing to see the 3510 go down after just a 4 foot drop onto my hardwood floor. I returned it and got a GXW-56-1BJF, instead. Nice review, mate!
ProTreks are not fully shock resistant like a G-Shock so that's something to consider. Other than that they can be used and abused like a G-Shock.
The 3510y is a stunner of a watch. Amazon had this on sale for $160 last month and I bought one just because it looked cool. It's now become one of my favorite watches that I own. I love the negative display, features, and overall looks, it's just awesome.

Thanks for the video! I have the 3510 and I think it’s cool too. The band is AWESOME! I have 4 other Casios and it’s my favorite band. So comfortable from the start, no break in necessary. I have a Mudmaster, that band was very influential in my decision making but the band is not as comfortable. My first negative display watch. Very happy with my purchase. I rarely find someone to talk about watches and their features. That’s what’s great about you tube and watch videos, I get to hear from others who are as enthusiastic about watches too.
This is one of the best negative-displays on the market. Great choice.

This was a beautiful video and good comparision from you Simucom,that 3500T was always been a outdoor king. That's not a tool watch,or a diver,or a military watch,that's all-in-one watch. One of the best Protreks ever made,without any doubt,that's the grandfather of every Protrek today. That watch don't need to be cheaper,it needs to be more expensive. Please Simucom,triple sensor,titanium,solar charging,multiband....and you want it cheaper? :-) No way...Off course it's not for a smaller wrist,who needs a smaller Protrek he can buy a PRW60 climber line,there's a Protrek for everybody.

Nothing wrong for it to be cheaper. Cheaper price is better because it's much more affordable. Especially in today's times when half the population is out of work and unemployed. people always look for good deals on these overpriced Pro treks.

This PRW 3500 THIS WAS NOT IN PRODUCTION NOW... I AM LOOKING FOR THIS PARTICULAR MODEL..Titanium Metal Strap its lighter.. you felt not wearing a time piece in your wrist..
Excellent review, mate! I'm in the market for a 3510y. My major concern, as echoed by others here, is the negative display. The G-Shocks I've had with negative displays were awful, but the one on your 3510y looks amazing. I think I'm sold. Thanks for the review!!
No worries about the display here. It is as good as any standard display on the market.
I own the 3510y and the screen is the best I've seen for a negative display. The looks of this watch is badass, the green and black combo is stunning. Defintely one of my favorites.
My 3510-1JF was delivered a few days ago. It looks pretty damn good. Mine has a black case/strap and silver bezel. I'm very pleased with the STN negative display. Big improvement over the G-Shock negative displays.

Lowest I found the 3510 was on Amazon for $224 but I had a $100 gift card that I had in the bank so the 3510 for $125 and tax? Had to do it. Haven't bought a watch in about 6 years (G Shock GW-A1100 still going strong) but I just had the itch. I think between this and the G shock, I'm set for life!

Great review! Out of curiosity and purely cosmetic, what size is your wrist? I'm deciding between the prw3510-1jf and the GW 9400 rangeman.
Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. My wrist size is around 7.5-8". Functionally I think the 9400 is better but only if you get the positive display version.

Well with the current gshock line up... This looks much better in terms of fuctionality and value for money
I'm going to have to agree with you as much as I love G-Shock.
Have both negative Pro Trek & Rangeman models, given up on the G Shock, the Pro Trek on the other hand is excellent! What I don't get is that I have a negative GD350 & despite costing a fraction of the Rangeman the display is fantastic.
I've noticed that Casio's negative display is actually quite decent, and it's only really horrible on the 9400 Rangeman.
I love pro treks have 8 and the wsd f20 wich has a full color satellite gps it's at $150 right now I recommend it just bad battery life and big good videos liked and subscribed

Very detailed but seems you miss the main difference between 3500 and 3510,one is normal LCD display and the other one is STN display
I felt like the difference in displays was already fairly obvious so I didnt feel a need to talk about it too much.
Just bought the PRW-3510Y and it looks sick! It looks like i should be on the arm of a special forces guy. I've got both black and olive green Rangeman too but my new Casio is on my wrist atm. So between the PRW-3510Y and the Rangeman which do you prefer mate?
Oooh that's a hard one because they both look so good. I would have to go with the PRW just because my negative display Rangeman is so hard to see. If I had a positive display Rangeman then I would have to give it to the Rangeman (and that's purely cosmetic. I think functionally they are both great)

I love the olive green Rangeman but as you said the black one has a better screen but the STN display on the PRW blows them away is awesome. I've been using my PRW as my primary watch due to being in the Australian Defence Force ADF. Cheers mate...
Hi, do you know what are the differences between the PRW 3500 and the new PRW 35 1a?
I'm looking for a comparison, for now I know that the prw 35 is made for smaller hand and is light weight at 50 grams and has biomass plastic back. Also the compass bezel doesn't rotate I think.

@@gighavlex ive never used the PRW-30, but my 35 is a little heavier than my casio royale, it has plastic back and look smaller than most protreks. Also it goes well with any occasion - sports, mountaineering, even weddings...... I wouldn't wear those huge rugged g-shock and protreks in a wedding.

I couldn't find any part number. You may have to do some searching on eBay.

I am little nervous about Casio's negative displays. Although what you say is very encouraging. I have the Casio Rangeman, negative display, I am not a fan of it anymore. How much better is new negative displays over previous versions? Thanks
I love my Rangeman but I will fully admit that the negative display is HORRIBLE. Do not worry at all, these Pro Trek negative displays are fantastic.

Hello, is this bracelet fits all 3500 series models like your 3510 if you want to swap?
I don't see why not. The lugs are the same so you should be able to swap them with no issues (I've never done this myself personally).
does the black paint on the bezels of each of these chip/fade away over time?
Only if you're knocking it around regularly. But it'll give the watch some character, and that weathered look that everyone loves.

These models are nice but outdated. The newest 9400 series has the latest version 3 firmware with better functionality and acuracy. Its a matter of chosing style and cost.

Nope, they are functionally identical.
How tough is the watch? Is it like a GShock?
It is very tough and will survive pretty much anything as long as you aren't deliberately trying to torture/break it.

If you're asking which one is better, functionally they are very similar. I have never owned the 2500 but I believe it is larger in size (at least in case thickness). IMO, it would be completely up to your sense of style and whichever one looks better to you.

Can someone tell me which display is better to read? the one from the 3500 is positive but not STN. the one from the 3510 is STN but negative. which one would you choose when it comes to readability?
Standard negative displays from Casio are normally HORRIBLE, but STN displays are fantastic. Very visible and easy to read. I would comfortably wear a negative STN display any day of the week. What you see on the video is reasonably what you would expect to see in real life.

Why don't you let your audience know that the bezel you can rotate it my p a g 240 rotates but some of them don't

Deranged man's no comparison it doesn't have atomic time man how can you compare it and the screen you got to squint to look at the little LED lights there's no comparison with the two watches
it doesn't have atomic time? Are you sure about that? I'll let you do the research yourself on this one. As for the visibility, it's unfortunate that it didn't work out for you. Looks perfectly fine to me. A superior negative display compared to others and highly visible.
you might be confused with a diferent watch. Both of these watches are 100% identical in functions/features.
Titanium looks ridiculous on a field watch better with rubber it looks really stupid it looks like a half a Swatch would have titanium bracelet on it
Rubber would be a horrible material on a field watch. Have you ever had a rubber strap? Have you ever been out in the field? Resin or some type of canvas/nylon band would be far superior. Which is why "field" watches aren't ever sold with rubber straps. Perhaps there's one out there with a rubber band. I've never seen it, but please show me one and I might check it out.
Gettin rid of paint on a rubber strap isnt ridicul but a nightmare or other stuff ,on the other hand rubber is safer to wear in circumstances ,so lucky there is a choice.
