      iPhone 11, but if somebody is looking for more value into a smartphone then manufacturers other than iPhone offer more value overall, but iPhone is excellent phone but is slightlly overpriced, making it more profitable.
      But in photos and selfies, i'd rather go with the note 20..

    Almost every photo on the iPhone looks washed-out, flat and artificial. You can't see every shadow detail on the Note, but I like black deep shadows, this creates more depth and looks more natural and professional. The Note 20 is the clear winner.

    • @apostle9209
      @apostle9209 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The note basically makes the scene contrasty but over does it. Pixel makes the perfect balance between dyanmic range and the contrast but note clearly lacks dynamic range. On iPhone, you can always edit to make the photo contrasty as your taste as the details in the shadow are not lost but note completely loses details in hdr situation

      @@apostle9209 well yes and no. You can see vast improvement on budget phones with gcam. This also applies to my note 9 which was flagship at the time. I was shocked by how much better the photos looked on my gcam app. It does take a bit of time to get the settings right for whatever gcam port you're using. And it might now work perfectly (front camera might now work) but most def worth checking out. Make the most of what you paid for. But I do get you most recent flagships already have good enough image processing software which is a fair point.

    • @apostle9209
      @apostle9209 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@namiralali8667 yeah, yes and no sums it up perfectly. Newer flagships from samsung and huawei aren't behind the pixel lineup at all so the gcam probably won't make much of a difference. But the older flagship like note 9,s9 were behind pixel by quite a margin and hence gcam will probably make a difference.

    I love historic landmarks and castle. Love that picture. Anyway, I discover with scene optimizer on, the note 20 ultra will take a quick "night mode" shot. It gives a slightly brighter image without having to go into night mode. It will take roughly two seconds to take the picture. I think that is the reason for all the complaint about shutter lag. But if you turn off the scene optimizer, the shutter speed turns back to normal speed.

But in all actuality the iPhone looks milky and smudged! Its because the HDR is trying to brighten the shadows to "Give more detail" but I don't like it. And plus if you don't like the color tone on the Samsung there is an option to change the color tone. The iPhone does NOT have that. You get what you get and what you get is shit.

The iPhone 11 wide angle lens is not that good (in bright daylight it's doable, but in less optimal light it falls apart) , I doubt if the iPhone 11 camera is so much better than for example the iPhone X (iPhone 11 has nightmode but how often do you use that on a phone). For video the iPhone 11 is good, although there's not much contrast and it can have some weird HDR tone mapping in the sky. ok complaining that the video is not stable when you're walking with 5x zoom punched in compared to 2x zoom is clearly unfair.
    also, the night mode shot looks way better on the note, and honestly off white balance is an easy fix compared to bad hdr on the iphone.

      The S20 Ultra is terrible. No laser autofocus which results in missed shots often.
      Up close is a problem because of the sensor size.

      @@Thetechchap Ugh, I knew I should have held off for the note. Unfortunately I wiped and unlocked my p20 pro to give to my partner as a gift, as her phone is a crap one from 7 years ago and she kept putting off getting a new one. I gave it to her the day I got the Samsung then I actually start using the ultra and realised how crap it was, compared to the p20, and died a little inside. Two points I would like to make
    1. Nobody is forcing us to use stock cam apps. For Note, Google Cam is a no brainer. While third-party apps enable Night Mode on all lenses in iPhones.
    2. As Samsung is an Asian company, u will always see a bit of skin smoothing as well as brighter images.

    Its really hard setting a winner on this the only thing I dont like about the two phones is the note killing pictures when turning darker shadows and color to more or less pure black but at the right angle it can be one of the best photos as well now iPhone is just the opposite adds brightness in and washes out pictures but their depth blur is better than the note the note just wanna freeze the whole background meaning if you wanna get a better picture pro mode is where you gotta go but we dont always have time for it
