USSR NSU RO 80 with Wankel engine, renovation. Diecast model toy.

I present the NSU RO 80 cast model from the Soviet Union. The model was produced in the 70s and 80s on molds that were purchased from the Mebetoys company. The NSU is on a scale of 1 to 43 and it quite accurately reproduces the car produced by the German company. To display subtitles in your language at the bottom of the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie. My model lacked the characteristic Wankel engine. I used a Wankel engine from a Mercedes C111 by Lesney and adapted it to the NSU model. My model was also missing a tire that I cast from black-dyed polyurethane. The Russians produced this toy in various colors. I changed my painting from blue to red. I also made the box in which this model was packed. It was quite difficult, because there aren't many photos of these boxes on the Internet, so in the video I show how these photos were cut out and scaled to the actual size by me. В детстве ,деньги что давали родители на обеды,я собирал и покупал машинки с открывающимися дверками в отделе сувенирном универмага,а потом клющиеся конструкторы кораблей и самолётиков,но в начале были фигурки цветных индейцев из ГДР привозили и мы менялись менялись менялись,бывало за одного цветного 3-4 не цветных ковбоев ,викингов,траперов...
А вааще я вырос и сейчас строю домик на берегу,что бы мои дети не сдали меня в дом присталелых,так что не до игрушек,буду смотреть на природу и наблюдать как меняется ландшафт,как растут деревья и куда катится этот меркантильный мир.

Very interesting model - quite comprehensive but the narrow axles seem wrong. I drove one of these years ago: great car, but the wheels filled the wheel-arches much better than the model! Lovely finish on the paint - nice choice of colour, too. That recreated engine is a treat!

I've never seen a die cast model from Soviet Union, but it's not really soviet if they purchased the molds.
NSU later became Audi if I'm not mistaken.

Audi bought out NSU. Such a pity as the RO80 was a lovely car. When newer the engine was great and the luxury and handling of the cars was ahead of most for time.
But you could see the design elements in The first model Audi 100's of the 80's.

Да, а конкретно эта (не самая хорошая) модель стоила 3,5 рубля.

Vispār jau super, gan apstrādāt un detaļas izliet. Vienīgi tā krāsa - redzu viss kapots "apelsīnā", maziem punktiņiem. Krāsa lidojot no airogrāfa jau gaisā sacietē. Ļoti vēlos iemācītis tā atjaunot modelīšus. Ir vesela čupa, bet nepietiek zināšanu ķērties klāt.

The NSU cars were West German before they became part of AUDI which is part of the Volkswagen Group.
The NSU ro90 was first of the jellybean look years before the Ford Taurus of the mid 1980's.

Well... The engines of the original Ro 80 were not exactly known as reliable. So it's all the more astonishing to me that this vehicle was probably offered as a model worldwide. 😁👍🏼
