Matchbox restoration Mercedes Benz Binz Ambulance No. K-6 King Size. Diecast model toy.

I received a Mercedes Benz Bimz ambulance in the King size version with the number K 6 from my friend from France. However, the second copy that appears in the film was bought by me at a flea market. With these two models, I was able to map the missing parts and create two complete cars that were produced by Lesney from 1967. Until 1970, they had Regular Wheels. The scale on which this car was made was unusual, as it was 1 to 45. The model itself was produced until 1979 in the Superfast version as Speed ​​Kings. My copy was equipped with a box presented in the video. On its basis, I made a replica of the packaging. The missing wheels were made of black-dyed polyurethane, while the panes were made of Pet type plastic using the vacuum method. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the patient on the stretcher, which was the original equipment of this model. For me, it is very similar, but it does not have a blanket. Als Kind hatte ich gefühlt alle Modelle von Matchbox, Corgi und Siku, die in den 1960er und Anfang der 1970er Jahre auf den Markt kamen. An den Kauf dieses Krankenwagens kann ich mich noch sehr gut erinnern, weil ich ihn als damals 5-Jähriger unbedingt haben wollte. Pauls Restaurierungen finde ich klasse! 👍

OH MY GOD! Flashes of Nostalgia I had that toy as a child! My mum used to work at the Matchbox Lesney factory in Hackney Wick in the 60's. It is no exageration to say, as a child, I had at least one of every single car that came out of that factory. By the time I was done with them, many of those cars were pretty beat up but I may have to go raid the attic and see what I can find.

Nice video, like Marty's of Marty's Matchbox Makeovers. But you should narrate as you go. It would make the videos more amiable. But it's fun to watch restorations like these, in any case. As you break down the model and remove the paint, we can see the quality of Matchbox's castings.
The issue with the tires and the plastic rims reminds me of a similar issue with tires in car model kits. The vinyl reacts with the styrene and gradually degrades and dissolved the plastic.

Eine schöne Erinnerung an die Kindheit, bin Baujahr 1971 und glaube ein Matchbox hat so zwischen 2,70 und 3,50DM gekostet Mitte der 70er.Ich kann mich noch an den VW Fridolin (Käfer mit Pritsche) als ADAC Variante mit viel Zubehör Erinnern.Danke für die Zeitreise, sehr schöner Kanal 👍🤗
